Wow! This still isn’t fixed. Flame trail is random lengths no matter what (blast is at end of flame trail) if you join WvW (even with an empty map and nobody around you) yet it behaves perfectly fine in Heart of the Mists…
Tri-Fire 7970s and I get similar performance to OP. Each card only adds a few FPS. 13.1 drivers and latest caps.
I’d be happy if I didn’t have to hit skills 2 or 3 times before the server reacted.
This drives me nuts too. Also the fact that some of our “instant” spells actually have hidden cast times due to animations.
I have this problem with Fire Grab. Although it takes 3/4 second to cast, I can’t cast another non-instant spell for an extra 3/4 of a second.
Still doing it. The blast damage is happening at random lengths along the fire trail which makes it impossible to land. Sometimes it bursts straight away, others at the very end like intended. Most of the time half way.
Or you can switch weapons and use Dagger/Focus. That is an offensive Water spec. Group that with Vulnerability on crits and Piercing Shards (20% more damage to vulnerable foes in water attunement).
You don’t need to waste traits for movement speed.
You can switch weapons out of combat you know. Open your inventory and resize it to be small. Drag all possible weapon combos to the first slots.
A combo to use on the move:
Switch to Staff for Windborne Speed and then Static Field (Switch to Water during cast). Switch to Focus. Use Comet as you walk into the field. Switch to Earth and use Magnetic Wave and Arcane Wave. It’s tricky to do this if you already have swiftness up and you may have to stop for a second. If you are doing this stationary and not on the move, then you can right-click a dagger and put it in the offhand for Earthquake.
While running, you can constantly switch weapons to put up Auras and Windborne Speed.
Stationary:
Staff Earth Attunement. Cast Eruption and Magnetic Aura (if you have Zephyrs Boon), switch to Air mid cast, use Static Field on top of Eruption, double click your dagger in inventory and cast Shocking Aura (skip the dagger if you don’t have Zephyrs Boon), double click Focus and switch to Water, use Comet + Arcane Wave.
In Water:
Equip Signet of Air and Glyph of Elemental Harmony. Use the heal in Air Attunement.
It’s easy once you get the hang of it. I just wish they would give us weapon swap out of combat.

Sure the focus is defensive but it doesn’t mean you can’t deal good damage.
I play D/F for everything pretty much. Karma farming, I instantly kill waves at chopper event. WvW, I can dish out some pretty hefty burst. Faster than D/D due to OH dagger’s 1 sec average cast times.

In WvW Burning Speed has half the fire trail and the blast triggers at half the distance you actually move. Tested in the Mists, Lions Arch, Straights of Devastation and the burning trail will be the full length with the blast happening under your feet. In WvW, no matter what borderland, even if it’s empty around you, the blast will trigger half way behind you. I pretty much have to treat it like a whole new skill. Can’t be lag related if it works as intended in Lions Arch surrounded by many people and Straight of Devastation where everyone in the karma train is spamming their skill sets.
Yes the footprints work all the time, it’s just the other aura effect that never seems to work.
The flame effect that engulfs the arm doesn’t always appear. I have to draw and stow weapons constantly to get the effect to work. It also disappears when using Ride the Lightning (which removes most visual effects, like the ghost effect from the lifesteal food).
I been running D/F religiously for the past couple months. I don’t sacrifice any damage. I can instant kill any glass cannon, even heavy armour, with my full combo.
See that guy with Twilight at the beginning? Instantly dead. The first scene is my burst build, the rest are a tank build involving Rune of Earth and Aura sharing.

Anyways, TLDR:
DiE gets accused of exploiting, hacking and buying precursors with RTM. Lots of passive aggressive posts, back and forward. Our name gets tarnished. We finally let the accuser know our legit, non hacking tactic. We are confirmed to be legit and now the accuser knows how to counter us, according to the above screenshot.
Good day everyone. DiE doesn’t condone hacking or exploiting in any way, now let’s change the subject.
Due to the timezone difference, I was happy to be able to still participate in one of the overflows.
However, after escorting and constantly resurrecting the demolition squad, driving off Karka reinforcements, using steam vents to shoot boulders, causing landslides and again, cutting off reinforcements, the game crashed. For the whole server. Trying again, we almost get to the steam vent phase and once again, we get booted out. New Build.
3 hours of participation but due to problems on your end, we get nothing.
So many ways to get more might than that. I get 18 out of combat without any kind of might trait or rune and without using any staff cooldowns.
Want this so bad. Please implement it or at least allow us to use this script. I find my self always holding right-click (and will continue to do so with this script on) because my extra mouse buttons are a bit stiff and I can control the mouse much easier while applying pressure where the right mouse click is but this creates a big problem. I can’t see where my ground target abilities are going to cast. With this script I always know the position of the mouse cursor when it’s hidden due to right-click and as a bonus feature you don’t lose track of the mouse in the heat of battle.

i dance 24/7 over the dead bodies of henge of denravi, but cant dance forever after the reset at midnight for some reason they always take everything…
That reset is right on Aussie prime time. Meaning we can get in without a queue.
