New patch and still lagging… Le sigh
Same giant lag-balls and disconnects. They started yesterday for me and continues today.
Washington State, too. Comes and goes wherever I am playing in the game. I’ve reported in-game and here. I usually have no problems playing.
I am from Washington state too, and I’m in the same boat. Lags all started this morning for me.
I guess now we play the waiting game? -_-
I don’t have Overwolf installed and I’ve been experiencing the same lag. Even when I tried on my mac, it was just as laggy.
Hopefully. I’m not even gaining rank points on my reward track when I win or lose PvP matches.
•Washington state.
•All the time. Every PvP match. Just started last night though. (PST)
•TC
•Every map.
•Horrible, unplayable lag. Worse than a friggin DDos hacker.
•913942:SERVER LAG. UNPLAYABLE
I’m from the US and have been getting terrible lag spikes too. PvP is 100% unplayable. I’ve talked to quite a few others too. Tons of people having issues since the last patch. Though this all started for me this morning. I can’t believe others have had this since the last patch. That seriously makes me want to uninstall.
I can’t reinstall or anything at all. This is ridiculous.
When I run my client it crashes instantly. It doesn’t even display the client. Goes straight to the error message.

I can’t even download gw2 off the website. It crashes instantly when it gets to the client.
that’s weird, changing my system from 16bit to 32bit color fixed this problem as well. it works now.. the heck? you guys should try it, it might work.
This fix didn’t work for me. ;/
I’ve fixed it changing the colour depth from 16 to 32 bits in the screen properties of windows. (see screenshot)
I’ve tried this and still nothing.
I had a similar crash today – I found the following fixed it for me (on Windows 7 64-bit):
1. Create a new shortcut to the GW2.exe executable
2. Right click the shortcut and click “Properties”, then click the “Shortcut” tab at the top
3. At the end of the “Target” box (after the existing text and after the closing speech mark) add the following, replacing the <> bits with the appropriate text:
-email <your account email address> -password <your password> -nopatchui
4. Click Apply, OK, then double click the shortcut to launch GW2For me this seemed to skip whatever part of the launcher screen was crashing, hope it works!
Thanks for the tip! I would have liked to try this, but I ended up uninstalling the game, so now I get this error when running the GW2.setup. As soon as it gets passed the gw2.setup phase; and initiates the client, it crashes instantly.
It’s not working for me.
The launcher crashes instantly.
I can’t reinstall either. This is the only error I get and it happens instantly. It doesn’t give me a chance to repair or anything.
This is the error I get; and it happens instantly. I don’t have a chance to repair or anything.
Yeah that’s definitely not the issue. It’s something on their end.
Yeap! I tried the same tactic. Thankfully I found the GW2 setup file, but even so; as soon as it loads to the client updating phase I get the crash error instantly. I don’t even get a chance to repair.
Hopefully it will be addressed soon.
Yeah I uninstalled and as soon as GW2 Setup finishes downloading and it switches to the client to update and install it instantly crashes and I get the following error:
I keep getting this error. I’m even trying to reinstall or run the client to repair itself. As soon as the client loads it crashes instantly.
I’m having this same issue. Phew! Thought I was alone.
