me too with a friend.
On Necro auto-attack (blood curse), with +80% condition duration +50% bleeding duration and the last curse trait (Lingering Curse which change auto-attack base bleeding duration from 5s to 7s), it’s displayed 16s bleeding duration (16.1s in reality).
It’s like if the tooltip don’t apply the cap and use +130% bleeding duration.
In fact the cap is respected (14s).

Critical Eye and Critical Strike were good too contrary to the current Thief critical chance….
Do you think it’s impossible to up Thief to get back the fun for the PvE, due to PvP matters ?
Or Devs could maybe create skills versions for PvE/PvP ? They have already done that for some skills and Confusion.
But please, Why are Thief less efficient doing critical damage than Warrior ? It’s just not consistent…

In Gw 2, I can’t reach the same feeling… I think it’s impossible considering the points I outlined.

I’m a big Guild Wars fan since 2005 with the first one. My main was an Assassin and was so happy to play with my build. (Moebius strike, Death Blossom, Critical Agility, enchanted by a monk… * nostalgy *)
I miss my assassin so much, in Gw2 we have the thief.
Pros :
_ Good in Pvp thanks to some mecanics/combo and a high mobility (but nearly useless in PvE) => that’s the main reason why thief will probably be never up in PVE.
_ Great style, cool animations and dodge sound
_ Bow combo is great
_ Can use stealth for the team but very situational and more a support role…
Cons :
_ Low Hp (like Ele and Guardian) : -41% hp than a Warrior
_ Medium armor (like Engi and Ranger) : + 14% damage received from mobs /Warrior
_ Half the healing per second than a Warrior : between 170-280 hp/s, Warrior healing signet : passive 400hp/s
_ Lower damage per second than a Warrior : Warrior axe = 1764 + 5*Power in 3.6s, pistol whip (cool evade but can’t move) = 1062 + 3*Power, thief sword = 975 + 2.9*P in 2.52s => around -18% damage than Warrior (without crit, so the gap is bigger)
_ Revealed (3s) which drop down the single target damage of thief (dagger), no fun
_ Hard to get Fury, Thrill of the crime = 10s/30s => Warrior : Dual Strike = 6s per mob ! /12s, Signet of rage, for great justice, Battle Standard, Arcing Slice, Furious Rally (Discipline banner)…
_ Precision Signet : 90, where warrior have 180… Why ? (+ 4.3% critical chance)
_ No Banner. (+ 8.1% critical chance/+ 15% crit damage or + 170 Power or Battle Standard for fury/revive allies…)
_ Traits… Deadly arts not so deadly and low situational damage buffs. Warrior get + 15% damage and + 12% critical chance all the time, +10% axe crit damage, + 25% movement speed all the time, weapon swap 5s…
_ Condition removal is not as important in PVE than PVP, because those are fewer and Guardian’s shouts can often clean 2 condi. However, Warrior condi removals are more easy to use (Cleansing Ire) and could profit the team (shake it off = -1 or 2 condi for all the team /25s)
Please Devs, bring me back my Assassin The risk-reward thing is just not working for thief in PvE.

If they leave the end reward as it is, they should just allow us to get the reward for each fractal we do (remove the daily thing).
I don’t think that’s a good idea. Because it will be profitable for farmer and inflation will grow up.
I agree with a daily reward like dungeon, but please…. 1g20 for a level 31 (2h20 dut to a lack of luck) with instabilities…
I like fractals, but i hate snowblind and dredge one. And rewards are not very motivating…
I go back to Ascalonian Catacombs…
This Gold reward calculation is a shame. 1g level 1-9, 1g20 level 21, still 1g20 level 30…
Why ? Why should we spend time to do fractals ?
This night we succeeded in a level 30 fractal. we were a good group but it tooks 2h/2h-30 in order to finish it because of 1) Charr fractal 2) Icy Fractal 3) Dredge ….

This trait decreases a lot the range of the bombs dropped by Evasive Powder Keg (trait) and Kit Refinement (trait).
