Combining boosters to level up by crafting ?

Hi, I have a bunch of boosters sitting in my bank and want to level up my 5th character.

Is it possible to utilize Heroic Booster, Experience Booster, and Item Booster to take advantage of all three at the same time to level up a couple of crafting disciplines?

I assume “+50% Experience in All Game Types” would apply to crafting, but not sure what “+50% Chance of Critical Crafting Experience Gain” means.

Thanks in advance.

Unplayable Solo

This is the first mmorpg where I get to the end-game (tried others before but just for a few days before getting bored of them), and find HoT maps reasonably balanced. Just been playing for 3 months but the only content I struggled with was Mordremoth’s fight and some HPs when we were less than 4 players to do them.

Agree there should be maps with low skill requirement for players who want it easy, but saying HoT is unplayable solo is just a big lie. There are many events that can be done alone like defending rally points in Verdant Brink, escorting pact soldiers, and others in Auric during Pylons and Tangled Depths during outposts. But chances are you’ll never be alone during those.

Those who can’t even move around in HoT without dying should consider the possibility that maybe the game is not to blame for that…

I’m new to Mesmer and after practicing in Silverwastes and getting decent results, boosted it to 80.

What build could you recommend for moving fast around HoT maps until I unlock the Elite Spec? I have all needed masteries and come from Engineer so complexity is not an issue. Just looking for a starting point that is not condition based.

Still don’t understand why does the Sneak Gyro do damage when exploding. The whole point of using it is to avoid combat…

Thank you, was afraid it’d be a temporary slot that disappears after the boost consumption.

Once I consume the Level 80 Boost, would that Shared Slot remain for me to put the Copper-Fed Salvage-o-Matic? Planning on buying that salvage kit but not sure if that will work or if it’s a good idea at all…

Chronomancer (Mesmer Elite Spec) is THE support role when it comes to using Shield. Granting Alacrity and Quickness to allies while supporting them with Boon Sharing through Signet of Inspiration makes them one of the most valuable supporters out there. They’ve got a steep learning curve however, and leveling Mesmer is a sloooow and ardous task because of their low personal DPS.

Guardian’s Shield is actually useful now, so it’s to be considered. Dragonhunter Elite Spec isn’t as Supportive as Core Guardian, but it does a well enough job if paired with Honor and Virtues still. Guardian is still good and typically a Zerg Leader, very hard to find too many Guardians on your team.
Not always that Shield is useful for them, however.

Revenant’s Elite Spec Herald is still useful since they can spread a lot of Boons around with relative ease, although their Shield Skills are more typically useful for Solo Play. Still, they have good sustain and decent Boon Support, some people even swear by Ventari (Not too shabby, just a lot of investment into it to be really good. And the micromanagement, but that’ll be nothing compared to Engi.)

Warriors can be Supportive, but not with Shield. Shield is a CC weapon for them, and a pretty good one at that, but won’t really help allies out at all.

Appreciate the extensive reply, will play around with those classes and read more about them before deciding. Still got the Level 80 Boost so I’ll start by testing Mesmer since it seems that’s the biggest downside to that class.

Guardian was my first consideration. What about Revenant? Read someone call it Boon Bot.

For PvE Open World content, with access to Elite Specialization :

- Supportive role (boon sharing/damage mitigation for allies)
- Shield viable
- Easy rotations

I main engineer and would like a second character for a more laid back gameplay before my fingers sue me for torture.

Hello, I’d like to craft an Exquisite Opal Jewel and have the three materials needed. But in the Crafting Station it won’t show in either of the Discovery (discovered it already I think) or Production tabs.

I’m level 400 Jeweler, and other similar items like Exquisite Snowflake and Exquisite Ruby Jewel show just fine.

Any ideas why?
