I finished my mesmer personal story today and comparing it with the first time I did it with my main the only difference that I saw was that it took me significantly less time to solo it today than to do it with 5 people 1 year ago. I found the airship part (when you fight the two dragons and the giants) more challenging (a tiny bit more only) because I had to take care of the canons and the risen that spawned on the airship alone. It was still pretty easy though.
However, Thanks to the fact that I was alone I discovered a mecanic that the Zhaitan fight has. When you are in the part where you just “111111111111111111” if you don’t spam it and take your time to kill Zhaitan he will spawn tendrils on the floor of the airship to try to kill you. I discovered it because I fired the canon until I got him to 2% or something close to that and then I stopped just to look at the boss and explore the ship before I ended the “battle”. After a short while he spawned the tendrils. I don’t know if this is new but I don’t remember fighting those tendrils when I did it with my main.
Speculation: Don't let ele spec be warhorn!

As a main ele, I genuinely don’t care if we get warhorn. Many weapon implementations are not typical, so I see no reason to doom and gloom just based on weapon type. Just look at Mesmer GS and Revenant Hammer as a couple of examples. Warhorn could totally be a thematic choice and have nothing to do with current support mechanisms.
What if it ended up being a powerful PBAoE weapon?
PBAoE would sound thematically appropriate for ‘tempest’ and could very well be applied to warhorn. However elites apparently try to create new playstyles or support areas that the class is previously lacking – and elementalist isn’t exactly lacking in AoE DPS field. On the other hand I’m not really sure what field ele would be weakest on. There’s options for support, even heal, DPS, or you can build to be pretty durable. Well, I don’t play elementalist much, so it’s a bit difficult for me to judge.
The eles currently lack a direct melee damage weapon. Daggers are melee but they do AoE damage or damage in the form of cones (like dagger fire 5). That’s why we all want sword. The sword (appart from the fact that it’s way cooler than the kittenty warhorns) could fit that “direct damage” niche with attacks in the form of slashes and pierces.
P.S: It would REALLY suck to get a warhorn as an ele. I main an ele and I’ve been collecting sword skins since I saw that “Light armor character” in the HoT Trailer with a sword.

The only thing I’m disappointed in is that I wont eve be able to the the Teq mini… ever…and I’m not a hardcore player. But I like the challenge myself.
the teq mini? the one that costs like 5 gold on the TP?
3 g 99 silver to be exact.
Rewarding the boss I think it has a bit too much health. If instead of increasing it’s health by a 100% (double the health) they had increased it by 75%-80% it would still be more difficult but not imposible to do in a map with random people that can coordinate a bit.
Today I was in a very good tequ map and we failed. The boss had 5% of the health left when we ran out of time. It was a pretty coordianted map, of course there where some mistakes but we had enough people defending the turrets and everything was great, The only thing that happened was that not everyone attacking tequ knew where the “crit spot” was and because of that we where losing DPS.
All in all, I feel like the boss health should be reduced a bit or they can add a couple more minutes to the encounter, that should be enough so that it’s harder than the pre-patch version but still possible to do with a semi-coordinated map.
And to those who may say this should not be nerfed and that people should try until they learn the encounter perfectly, let me remind you that Tequ is a World boss that has a respawn time of 4 and a half hours. If Tequ was in an instance that you could reset every time you fail it I’d definitely agree with you, because you can learn the encounter as a group. However, since is a boss that is outside of an instance and you very rarely do it with the same 100 people and it has such a huge respawn time I think it should be easier than it is now.
All of us want more challenging and harder encounters but in the way they have to be. In an instance, with a defined group that can reset each failed boss to retry it until they master it, not in the middle of Tyria with some random people that happened to be in the same map that you are.
Exactly! It’s outstanding the ignorance this days in Geography!
Iberian Peninsula have 2 country’s: Spain & Portugal!
Two countries only? Really? I think that anyone living in Andorra will disagree with you.
If you are going to correct me at least know well what you are talking about, especially if you have just seen a map of the Iberian Peninsula. I said Spain because it’s the most relevant country of the peninsula as well as the best known.
And to those that say that the map it’s seen from the wrong perspective I agree with you, but that does not change the fact that the map of the silverwastes is based on a real world map which is what I wanted to highlight.

I was walking around the Pact’s base in Silverwastes and I found an interesting map. Will we ever see Spain as a part of the Silverwastes? Any other part of Europe? :P
How long ago did you get the contract? I thought after the feature patch they removed it from the loot table of the blc.
I think the picture is great. I’d be awesome if you could make another one with the mats needed to craft the legendary staff.
You must be awesome now! Congratz.
Do you feel good because I missed a “t”? Congratz to you
Anyway, thanks a lot for the staff picture, Arcunnar.
