I’m sure someone has already mentioned this somewhere, but I really can’t be bothered looking around.

I’m unable to download the Windows 64-Bit Client. After it reached the Playable option, it stopped downloading the files and Connection error(s) detected message pops up.

Either I’m kittened, or the 64-Bit Client for Windows is broken.

Can you please fix the lag in PvP and WvW that has been ongoing for the past two weeks? Kthx!

@Ghost, no it doesn’t you are correct I just didn’t word it properly. Thank you for adding it in.

@Star. Switching the M/S to GS, Hammer or LB will provide a higher burst output through a single spike rotation, you are correct.
The defensive part does provide decent team support and zone control, no it doesn’t rival that of the bunker set-up its obvious.

Though the offensive side looks random, it can provide a decent damage output. I have managed to spike a Shield of Judgment for 2-3k, Protectors Strike for 4-5k, Test of Faith up to 6.5k of course that was done on pure zerk players.

The idea is that the build won’t leave you open, it has that high protection uptime, the aegis spikes (to you and allies), the high block counters, the condition peals and spike heals it also provides decent zone control supported by damage to an extent.

It does need more testing, more so in team fights so if anyone would like to test it further and share their experience please feel free to do so.

I have more to add, but I gotta run… this wont answer everything or maybe even answer anything. I have had success and failure with the build.

I have been asked a few times now about my set-up and if I have put it up on metabattle, the answer is no I haven’t.
With that being said I decided to repost it here and if anyone feels like uploading it on meta they can. I dislike playing trap spamming and not a huge fan of LB, even though the damage is great on it.

I’ve been playing with this build for a while now in PvP, permissible to swap Sword for Scepter against 2 or more DH or LB DPS Rangers. This also depends on how much close pressure you want to put out or be safe from traps etc. If you prefer to maintain the mobility then switch Mace for Scepter.

Unscathed Contender is also permissible to be swapped for Retaliatory Subconscious for less DPS but added extra sustain. Renewed Focus can also be swapped for Dragon’s Maw for DPS, but I don’t suggest it.
Alongside those traits mentioned above, Stalwart Defender can be picked over Communal Defenses but you lose an extra aegis between weapons and traits but gain more toughness and reduced shield recharge rate. Soaring Devastation can be swapped for Piercing Light if the player chooses to do so.

Overall this build provides excellent physical damage pressure, with great survivability through huge amount of blocking, protection uptime and aegis, condition removal on block and meditations, spike heals and regen through M/S and meditations. It has decent team support and zone control depending on the team set-up and playstyle.

That is way too high of a base health pool for Guardian.

There are 4 professions in total with 15.922 HP (Engineer, Mesmer, Revenant and Ranger), 3 with 11.645 (Guardian, Elementalist and Thief) and 2 with 19.212 (Warrior and Necromancer).

I like the idea of 3 sec (4 sec traited) + cooldown reduction to 40 sec when traited for as well as making it an instant cast.
They should also make Orb of Light a blast finisher upon detonation, so we can have some kind of balance on BF between all 3 heavy armored classes.

Lets be real Rev gets 4 blast finishers in total between all weapon sets, Warrior gets 3 + 1 more (Mace F1 when in Berserker mode) , thus resulting in total of 4, as well as on how often you can use Berserker mode when traited for it, while Guardian gets 2 BF in total.

Its understandable to have lag every now and then, but its been getting worse with every single patch… but this patch just hit the kittening sweet spot for me.

I get up to 3.8-4k ping max, 1.5-2k average. Sometimes my fps sits at 0. What’s worse is getting lag spikes every 10-20 sec which last for 3-5 sec and this goes on for over two hours.

Yes my system isn’t very optimal and yes neither is my internet connection, but it has been getting worse with every patch.

I blame Anet for removing the condi cap plus their bad servers. I wanna do my GvG scrims and PvP, please sort this kitten out.

Been having terrible lag since the specialization patch all across the board: WvW, PvP and OS for scrims.

6/0/6/0/6 damage output and self sustain or 6/6/6/0/0 for pure DPS/Condi, though both of these set ups wont be as highly viable as the other DPS classes.

Bunker Guards have always overshadowed DPS Guards in team play but even the bunker spec’s are fairly trash compared to what all the other classes got.

Anet wants us to play DH trait line when HoT comes out.

Grouch told me that Shelter will not be getting categorized, it will be left as it is. The Dev team doesn’t like the Guardian class for multiple reasons. </3 #nolove

The people in this thread that are complaining about BG buying guilds, do realize that BG has been marked as a Full Server since the start of the Leagues. And if we look at the information provided from Anet, as a Full Server BG can’t gain people nor guilds, as no one is able to transfer to BG even if they wanted to. Now if we look at SoR some of their guilds are fighting in EotM as some of the SoR server players stated above, but a high portion of SoR got absorbed by JQ e.g. SoX, LUN and a handful of Oceanic Guilds. On top of that JQ has gained/bought some mid-tier NA guilds e.g. one of them being Karma [KA] a large NA PvX from CD. JQ can keep denying this fact, but no matter the case, those in T1 that have brains know the truth. If people wonder how JQ has managed to keep up in NA T1 since BETA, it’s because a portion of their SEA time zone is gold sellers, so they are happily gaining gold and buying guilds. Just because a server is marked as full that doesn’t mean that its full of WvW players, people have to realize that there is a PvE population and a PvP population as well. SoR is a server that has withstood so much neither BG nor JQ can compete with what they have been through. The one thing that I find funny in this thread is that JQ is making up “excuses” for BG, its like BG can’t do it on their own. Out of the current T1 servers SoR is the one that deserves to stay no matter their size and time zone coverage, neither BG nor JQ deserve to be in T1 at all. And lets not forget the infamous NS on JQ that has reformed from TKG and Agg, since the current NS happily stole builds from Agg they are face-rolling the GvG scene in T1. These few up-coming weeks are going to be very interesting for T1 NA. The hell with JQ and BG, both servers are full with siege monkeys and pansies we need more EU guilds to go to SoR and harden us up.

Yup +1 to this guy…How about you guys fix the condition meta instead, that everyone abuses and has been for months on end…Oh hold on, wrong topic…Sorry these are PvE changes specifically for the PvE players that will end up affecting WvW anyway. and since you guys don’t like listening to players that much, apart from a handful who’s ideas seem to match yours… carry on keep screwing up with WvW even more (I’ve lost hope for it).

It is still work in progress as we only manage to field 8-14 man group max and some of our players are up-lvl’d against 30-50+ man groups. In the video we get wiped by their 30-35+ at the end, but it was a good 6 min with them using Suprior AC during our fight. Thank you SoR and JQ for the amazing fights and weeks, MERRY CHRISTMAS ALL and a HAPPY NEW YEAR.

Hey mate the IoM on ET that you know of, has not left the server they are still there. This is the Blackgate IoM division, this is the original IoM name (Immortals Of The Mist) and where IoM actually started off as a guild. I talked with Guardian when I came back home to BG about re-starting IoM again. There are only a few old IoM members who have re-joined me and helping along to rebuild the guild. So do not worry my friend Immortals Of The Mists is still standing strong on ET and as far as I know they have no plans on leaving the server at all.
