My frontline condi/trapper build.
Been working fairly well for me.
Traps are a fun roaming build but I’m struggling to see how that would work as a frontline zerg build. Shortbow has no cleave, you can’t push with the tag using sword because the leaps will send you flying through the zerg, you can’t stack condi’s because there is too many people clearing them in zerg fights, and you have no stun breaks.
I get that you are tanky but when your doing almost no damage (thanks to high amount of condi clear) and you have no team support skills or traits, what exactly does this build bring to the table?

I agree with mostly everyone here. Porting to Comm Tag is plain dumb. However they could make a mechanic similar to EB where you can pay X amount of supplies for a waypoint in certain objectives you have captured such as Tytone and Infernal.
Do you have dodge enabled? That should help tons.
No. However I’m not completely against this idea as it would be cool as hell to PvP in they big as hell PvE map (would make for some interesting fight) however it would kill it for the casual PvE goers. So I would suggest making a separate server for PvP in PvE.
They are very viable. I switch out between trapper / condi set solo roaming and standard pew pew pew zerk build when running with ele/necro duo.
Traps are fun.

Visible. Yes, by your team / side. Enemy, no. They won’t see them at all.
EDIT: I am not aware of any trait/skill by any class that would uncover/detect them. Just thought I’d through that out there. I run with another Ranger who uses traps and I can see his white circles on the ground so know where to place mine.
But if I am guarding a entry point or doing denial of entry, the enemy never sees my traps and always triggers them. Hope that clears it up

Hello Gents!
I wanted to get into trapping for my ranger but I mainly do WvW.
So with that being said there was one thing that is bothering me about trapping.
Are Traps visible?
I mean if traps can be seen by foes then they can be dodge quite easily and the viability drops. Well regardless if they are or not I’m still going to try it, just wanted to know.
