So you lost 4% Magic Find from 1 item, and you were given 20% Magic Find for your whole ACCOUNT as REPLACEMENT. If you say the stats on the item are bad now, just note that they are exactly the same as the stats you were running with before.
I have Celestial Sigil, Ancient Mursaat Token, Triforge Pendant, Lunaria and Solaria. That’s 4% Magic Find removed from each, I was given 20% Account-Wide Magic Find. I break even(Math: 5 × 4% = 20%), you on the other hand, got extra free Magic Find because you only have two Celestial Accessories.
Stop contradicting yourself, Math 101 this way.
Everyone was given that 20%, it was not a replacement for the loss of MF, it was a gift to everyone, even those who never had MF at all. He did indeed lose something (the MF and the reason for having bought those specific trinkets).
Or the matter could be seen as a replacement for him (and all the other MF users) and as a gift to everyone else (and even in this case he did lose the gift given to everyone else).
I don’t see why they couldn’t just let the guys with celestial stats pick if they want to swap stats or stay with the celestial stats minus the magic find. Seems like an easy fix.

Yup, same thing happened to me, both for the Assassin achievement and the Hillbillies one (but for the latter a dev just posted they have a fix incoming, hoping it fixes this too!).
I can confirm this, it happened to me too, didn’t get it either in infantile nor in normal mode
It was well known, even when the celestial armor came out, that magic find would be removed from armor. Anyone who bought it for magic find didn’t do their homework.

Ok, when the armor came out maybe there were some blog posts about it so that’s a grey area.
But what about TRINKETS???? Celestial amulets came out in february and rings a lot earlier, and being one who spent MONTHS worth of laurels on trinkets also because of the MF i’d be really pi**ed if they don’t give us the reroll option (and don’t come tell me we should have known that they wanted to get rid of it back then because that’s simply-just-false).
And guys please, leave requests for different stat distribution on celestials out of this topic: the OP only asked about the reroll. If you want to discuss on the fairness of the celestial stat distribution open a post or join one of the millions others.

The same happened to me a week ago, i ended up with 11 scraps and no shoulder skin, i think that the overflow window ATE the skin. I’ve submitted a bug report but i’ve never got an answer. Long story short i had to farm the 250 scraps again; sorry but it doesn’t look like they’ll do anything about it.
Ok, i was stuck at 12/13, got tired of doing invasions randomly to get the one i missed so i wrote down a list of the maps, with a lot of patience i did each and every one of them (doing events, killing champion clockwork minions, etc.) checked every map of the list once i had completed it…. replayed all the 13 maps – again – (took a lot more than 13 hours due to the randomness) and guess what? I’m still stuck at 12/13!!!!

Yes, we knew MF was all disappearing off most gear (not all), but we expected refunds, options, new stats, etc, not the finger from Anet.

You’re absolutely right, but the ascended celestial amulets have been introduced in january (https://www.guildwars2.com/en/the-game/releases/january-2013/) and the rings even before that. People have spent laurels on those because of MF, and back then we had no way to know MF was to be trashed.
It would really be nice if they gave us the choice for a reroll, at least of ascended trinkets.
I really can’t understand why people are so angrily against a possible reroll: the ones who want to keep items in the new version will choose celestial and the other people will choose something else, what’s so bad about it?
Celestial is fine as it is (not great, just fine) so it won’t be a huge problem if they just toggle the MF on it.
Anyway, i’ve spent 65 or more laurels on ascended celstial amulet and ring ONLY because they also had MF, i really hope they’ll give us the option to change it for another 3-stat combo (or to keep the new celestial without MF) as they’re doing with the other MF gear, otherwise i’ll be quite pi**ed to have THROWN AWAY all those laurels, and i think i’ll not be the only one.

Ehm, ok, your mentor didn’t made the choices but neither did we! I had to go after this other “unintelligent” asura and his stupid ideas even though i didn’t aggree with his outrageously demential plans.
BUT yes, other than that i really enjoyed the ending!

I play an asura necro and i LOVE him.
BUT
you should probably go for charr, because as an asura all your weapons (with staff being the only exception) will be INVISIBLE, and that’s a HUGE drawback.
As an asura who mainly uses 1h weapons (dagger/scepter/axe) i’d say no, too small and too hard to see to be worth all that time/money.
Agree completely, i can barely see the daggers on my asura (not to mention the clipping issues of 1-h weapons with almost EVERY light armor, if you don’t have your weapons out they disappear under your clothes). As things are now it’s just not worth it to farm for barely noticeable exotic/dungeon weapons
