Tooth of frostfang t3 collection question

Hey guys so I’ve been powering through the collection to get my first ever legendary but there is one collection piece that is giving me hell. In Southsun Cove I have to use a glacial imbued jar at a place where water is cascading from pools. I have been trying to do this for about a hour and its crazy annoying the entire map is mineral pools yet none seem to work. If anyone has done this collection before please help a player out. Thank you

Hey everyone I have been asking around for awhile now on clear answer on how map bonuses work more specifically the other rewards listed. I’m after silver doubloons in snowden drifts and the map bonus is small totems which is meh but the other rewards list the doubloons. How do I get them and how fast is said process?

Taking Grind to a whole new Level

As much as I hate the amount of grind they are putting in place for legendaries their philosophy is generally sound. I will start with explaining legendary armor first because its quite simple. Legendary armor HAS to be in raids to create a incentive to do them raids are fun for their challenge but what’s even more fun is when you are rewarded for that work. Raids requires much more solid team work compared to dungeons and you get rewarded more for doing it, all other MMOs make raids more rewarding to incentives players into doing them. Hard work should equal great reward. Now as for legendary weapons this I won’t lie about I had a huge knee jerk reaction of just being pure salt and could probably find my comment on another legendary discussion thread. Yet thinking of it now it’s pretty equal in grind. First things the maps in hot are few in number without hearts and I have only seen pois and mastery challenges. So that’s pretty quick so they make up for that by including mastery tracks needed to be completed and the nice thing is you don’t have to stick around in the jungle to complete you simply play the game. You can even speed it up with exp boosters (not p2w just pay to speed up). Now stop me here if I don’t understand how the exp will work for mastery tracks but when you reach the second tier instead of needing 8mill meaning starting you from the beginning its 4 mill and you carry off from the prev 4 mill mark. 4 mill is the amount needed for 1-80 and considering they want mastery tracks to not be consumed immediately that’s pretty fair time investment. Legendaries shouldn’t be gotten super fast and shouldn’t be reliant on your wallet. The new gift of fortune echoes this because its trophies and from my guess they will be pretty much exclusive to legendary rather then the t6 materials that is inflated because of crafting as well. So then there is PvP and wvw Im OK at PvP but I easily get stressed out so play small doses each day and guess what? I don’t have go do either because we can buy those specific mats two game types we can avoid because anet is aware not everyone likes em. Legendaries are pve items at its heart and they are making legendaries a journey rather then a pure grind or a passive grind from simply doing something else entirely. Like the old legendaries can be technically a passive grind from just money and although I want one in terrible at staying on task. Yet I’m slowly getting to one and relatively close to it and when I get I can be honest with myself and say I earned it at my own pace why not take these new legendaries at your own than focusing on right away?

Recipe of new legendaries...

They said the crafting of a legendary will largely stay the way it is now. Not hey only thing staying the same is icy runestones. Also ALL Maguuma mastery tracks and legendary track are you kitten serious?! The old legendary journey for map completion was not even close to that level of grind. Also the way they are wording the salvaging change I have no doubt they are going to make ectos even harder to get.

Dual stance on Self Inflicted Conditions?

Hey guys, I am not sure if a similar topic has been posted if it is the case my apologizes.

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/revenant/Upcoming-Revenant-changes-for-BWE3

Arenanet does not want to create tension between teammates so they removed the self inflicted conditions on Mallyx.

Okay cool, buuutttt what of Necromancers?

Although we don’t have the 3 condition trigger aside from plague sending we still suffer from allies who wish to support us and remove conditions. The philosophy of what curses should be from your talent changes is about spitting out conditions, absorb conditions and chuck em back at the enemy. Its a great concept that I really enjoyed in GW1 yet is not living up to what should be. We have many talents and skills that either transfer conditions or place conditions on us but can’t take advantage of because of our allies. So can you guys please review and adjust curses as a whole, if you say it doesn’t work with revenants it surely hasn’t been working for necromancers.

Sorry if I was talking in circles poor at expressing my thoughts but hopefully you guys get what I am trying to say.

Hey everyone,

I wanted to ask the devs something I wished they addressed in the precursor livestream when they spoke specifically about the Juggernaut. What I want to ask is what will happen with Silver Doubloons?

Silver Doubloons is a odd item out of all the legendary weapons specific materials needed, Bifrost needs dyes while most others requires lodestones. The issue is though Silver Doubloons are specific to characters between lvl 21 and 35. When most people start working on a legendary they start at max level because its considered a end game goal. This philosophy is being made concrete by the introduction of the legendary mastery track which can only be leveled when at lvl 80. See the problem? You want us to go back but somehow make us move forward with our progression.

Many farmers for this item create alts and log in daily to do the jumping puzzles or try their hand at the mystic toilet. Both methods of which seem to contradict your idea of a journey rather then praying to the almighty RNG. Now there is hope you introduced back awhile ago for the ones who want to feel they are tangibly working towards a specific material.

https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/a-legendary-journey/

This article talks about map bonuses to provide a directed activity in search of your legendary materials needed. Yet Silver Doubloons are specific to lower level characters, will this system include Doubloons into the map bonuses regardless of level? Will other methods open up for farming these Doubloons for the intended max level character?

All of this I hope can be answered to clarify where people will stand in the hunt for the Juggernaut.

I just got out of a game where the majority of the team used pulls and knockbacks to send players to their deaths and the majority of the time avoided fighting all together. A map that gives a advantage to players who can knockback or pulls is frankly mind boggling. Learning to use a single skill effectively is fine as long as it doesn’t spell instant death for a opponent we as players should learn to use our skills cohesively to win the fight. I beg of you Anet get rid of the breakable the glass in skyhammer it employs dirty tricks that isn’t beneficial to the health of pvp. I rarely see people vote for skyhammer and is picked because of the random nature sometimes of the map selector, I have no doubt in my mind this would be the driving force of why people don’t pick it.

Before someone says “get gud” let me ask you something should I learn to play the class or a skill to win?

How to build condition revenant for pve?

Hey guys been following the revenant closely though sadly without a beta key so unable to try for myself and get a better understanding of what I want from the profession. So I have a couple questions if anyone minds answering.

-with “difficult content” on the horizon is sinister a bad idea and to better go with rabid if mixed how much of each?
-is carrion a possibility with Maniacal Persistence and many of the fury traits?
- what are good defensive and aggressive runes so far that work nicely with the revenant?
-sigils?

I am aware that HOT is still a good ways off but I want to be able to start collecting the necessary bits as a goal over time.

Anyways thanks for the help take care!

Any possible solutions from gw1 to fix gw2?

in Necromancer

Posted by: Nightangel.3947

Nightangel.3947

Hey guys,

Kinda been having guild wars 1 nostalgia a lot recently and been looking at a lot of skills of the necromancer and how not only curses but every single attribute had some form of sacrifice to it.

Right now everything is being pushed into corruption alone for that sacrifice theme which although for the time being is fine where I would prefer it being more prevalent among all the specializations for necromancer but corruption right now feel very weak.

Cultists fervor has been translated somewhat into master of corruption but what of other iconic spells from gw1?

How about contagion, virulence, offering of blood and so many other spells that are in curses or not feel they could fix weaknesses curses and vice versa for the other specializations now face.

So lets all hear em folks lets get cracking eh?

You bring a lot of good points up and I’ve been on the forums all day looking for a better perspective on why on all these changes. btw do we know the siphon numbers and if it works off of conditions at all?

Are they changing Trahearne?

in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns

Nightangel.3947

Hey everyone I know all eyes are on the new content or fix up to their class mechanics but is anyone else concerned if Traehearne will stay the way he is? Right now he is very much a Mary Sue and you straight up meet him out of the blue before your more likeable pact friend dies. There is hardly any character development with him facing internal challenges aside for like 5 minutes during the vision of what he must do nor history of him aside that he is a firstborn thats it.

Yes from the beta gameplay and just the build up that most of the races don’t trust the slyvari now which helps…Yet I feel when I listen to him its like I am listening to a robot no emotion is instilled on any situation he is placed.

I know that I can’t speak for everyone and say that everyone hates him, many probably love him. I just want to know if Anet acknowledged that he wasn’t the strongest character to many people and if they plan to improve upon him to make him more like able rather then the idea they find him fine and will continue with no revisions to him.
