Yep. I played through the event twice. Once on my laptop (where I missed the chest) and once on my much better desktop.

The laptop was super laggy. Had to turn everything to low. Mobs took longer to appear. Everything was choppy. This is a mixed Anet/pc issue.

On the desktop everything ran quite smoothly even with higher graphics, but mobs would still appear too late, oftentimes right on top of players after they died. This is an Anet issue.

sorry guys. My party controls are glitched, plus my world is now full. Apologies, but keep on trying other worlds!

Spent several hours on this event, only to miss the chest at the very end. I have a very limited amount of free time, and to get screwed like that at the end is frustrating. I may have to take a break from this game. I tried hard, but if a matter of a couple minutes means missing the entire reward then screw this.

I don’t suppose there’s any way of getting the rewards now…

I fought for hours in the event. Had to step out for a couple minutes and the chest was gone when I got back. I had a busy weekend and would not have spent hours on this if I knew I would miss the reward. If this is the time periods for rewards we are talking about, I shall be avoiding all one-time events in the future.

Seemed to have been fixed for me as of the last patch. Good luck to everyone!

Just hit this bug on Darkhaven as well. Would also be interested in knowing if it’s a server thing. Would transfering help?

I hit both issues that MrAlice mentioned.

For 1, I eventually moved farther back (and actually started targetting the enemy scout) which finally prompted the hologram.

For 2, I actually just waited. I had completed the end cinematics, but I still had the gun (after zapping the scout to death with it) and the objective still said to free the Asura. So I spent some time searching the forums and when I alt tabbed back into the game, suddenly the quest objectives had updated. I judge I waited about 2 minutes or so. Sure beats running it all again anyway.

A couple things to try for those that are stuck anyway!
