The daily completionist achievement is completed and there is the daily reset timer on top, however all the dailies are available (I’ve done all the pvp dailies but now they are uncleared).
Same. CTD after clicking on game browser.
Seriously, what Dawdler said above. Thief could have done this since forever and now suddenly mesmer can and you call for nerf? Stop. right. now.
If you can’t handle 2 mesmers laying traps for your zerg then use something called stealth trap. It exists for a reason.
First time I used Portal I assumed it would show if I’m out of range (and since I couldn’t estimate 5k range I failed placing the exit..).
Yes, it should have. I don’t know why they didn’t implement it so far.
Is Mesmer your main?
If not, are you going to post on your profession’s sub forum if your main will be overpowered “like” Chronomancer and call for nerfs?
9/10 decent troll – IGN
Please, overreact some more.
8. Use META builds
If you are total beginner, yes.
If I hadn’t stumbled upon this topic I wouldn’t have known the rainbow unicorn finisher even exists.
10/10 would buy (and I did)
Oops. I play mesmer as main, but due expectations of dungeon players, I try avoid mesmer in dungeons. I’m not a warrior player. The post was not a troll. When I have been as warrior, the other mesmers have been underrated.
Interesting. I’ve gathered about ~700h on my mesmer and not once have I been asked to switch to other class. I’ve always done my job (condi clear, reflect, pull etc.) properly and have made my way to lvl17 or so in FoTM. Mesmer is definitely not underrated nor useless in dungeons. I’ve seen far more players with warriors, guards and eles failing hard. Most mesmers I’ve encountered were as good as the rest of the team.
If you can’t enjoy playing your mesmer in pve, find a group that will play with you or get your guildies to join.
Hello,
I’m a rather new thief player so I’d appreciate some feedback and help with building my thief for WvW.
What do I plan on doing in WvW? Well mostly roam with my friend, flip camps and maybe zerg now and then.
After checking the metabattle I’ve come up with this:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fZEQNAoaVlsMp8plOx7J0PNxOBtdAq9A48EXwzpEFA-TFzEABpqEMgnAwAnAgkUakiKDKpMQN9B2s/AAm4yRJGDHCgVUnJAACwNbz28mBczbezQKgX2CA-w
Is this viable? Is there anything I could/should change?
Thanks in advance!

e.g. Berserker stats (zerk, zerker)
Power, Precision, Ferocity – Power being the major stat
Assassin stats
Precision, Power, Ferocity – Precision being the major stat
I recommend you to check the sticky topics in Mesmer profession forum as they hold lots of useful information.

…Bang! You’re a Riot police officer.
I like the idea of this.
707 hours | 1 pre (Howl, got from MF)
Was throwing random exos over the course of 1 month. Dropped between 20th and 30th attempt.
If my memory serves me right, full Assassins set will (*probably) give 1% more dps if you have 25 stacks of might on you (which, lets face it, is highly unlikely you will achieve during most of the fights).
Here, check this topic: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/mesmer/Analysis-Berserker-vs-Assassins
*note: might was nerfed to give less power per stack, thus this comparison above might be invalid
Like Fay said, any mix of Assassin/berserker is just fine.
I added a keybind for About Face, moved my heal, utility, elite skills around WASD (Q, E, R, Y, X). Weapon skills and F1 – F4 remained the same.
It took me about a week or two to get used to it but it’s worth it. Main reason why I changed them was because I wanted to get into PvP and WvW more and I couldn’t do that if I have to look on my keyboard and stretch fingers across or use mouse to click on skills.
E.g. I went with a charr Mesmer.
Mesmer has some mystic feel to it.
Charrs are big cats with sharp claws, teeth etc.
Mystic, mysterious, myst…
Cats, claws, claw, teeth, tooth..
Mystooth.
So it’s basically a play with words. You can do the same.
For roaming. Those downsides alleviate the moment you have allies with you, either havok or zerg.
Aha, I see. Thanks for clearing that up.
I’m also curious about some WvW builds (that work for both roaming and smaller groups 5-10 ppl) that isn’t a type of PU build.
Right now I’m using a shatter build: http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?fhAQNAR8alknpTtlpxRNcrNCrxg6s26MSOQAlMkrB-TVTBABBu/QWKNEVFiHOIAUq+SEXAgrUi1xRAALlBoobQjHAAGKBBwEUAAEAH9oH9oH9oREA1GA-w
The downside is, well, lack of health and armor (also countered by any condi build).
Ross mentioned in other thread that Shatter has big downsides in WvW so maybe Interrupt/Lockdown build would be better?
(edited by Nighthelm.6427)
snip
You really like interrupts, don’t you?
At least they reverted Mimic.
What?
I might be mistaken but I think that was sarcasm.
Since I’m not competent enough at the moment to come up with my own builds for PvP and/or WvW, I’m strictly following already tested builds which are 95% of the time a combination of 2 4s and 1 6 as you mentioned.
However, for PvE I’m using a build that I’ve come up with. It’s probably not the best but I feel safe while using it. It’s 5-2-0-4-3
I’m no expert in creating commentary videos nor am I an expert in pvp but your first video wasn’t all that boring as you mentioned it to be.
It would be really awesome if you could cover all the basics such as showing the maps, locations to position yourself on, where to set portals, which nodes to go after while your team is elsewhere, how to know which target to pick first etc. Basically all the stuff a beginner mesmer should learn and know.
Edit: also, tips about dealing with each class’ meta builds? Idk, maybe I’m asking for too much.

Another charr Mesmer! .
I also have a charr mesmer and it’s my main.
OP, nice video and great teamwork!
