This bothers me a lot, enough so that I logged in to comment for once, I have 31 hours worth sitting in my bank that I was planning to use in the higher levels, now all the work of getting these and spending some money on them are going to be gone with nothing coming back to me as a PAYING customer.

The drop rate was changed back to the normal drop rates when the game came out, they changed them back to the massively nerfed amount they changed it to before.

You were, the retro patch is coming soon, first they have to figure out what they are doing about it, at this time they have no clue as to what achievements will get them and what wont aside from daily/month.

The link above guides you for example to the german version, as you can see (even without knowledge oh the german language) they translated everything according to the english version, the patchdate included.

Is there no way that someone could tell them, that they have to adapt it for the european timezone?

language does not equal location. They do not post set times for every area in the world, they post the same time for everyone, and state all over that the time they use is there own time. Also if you go in game and set the time to game time, it’s there time, so you could even call it game time if you wanted to.

I have a feeling this is going to be tied into the system they are working on for other ways of getting legendary items, they want to push us back into the zones so events that lead up to karma NPC’s that will offer parts to make them sound about right, this will lead into a huge karma dump and also force players back into the world in all the zones, also helping new players coming in, and opening up the “Play as you like” system where you can work on it when you want, and even if you are not you are building karma to get one at some point.

Just my 2cents.

I wish it would, or they would give us back the option to, but they made the choice of using the new setup, so we have to live iwth it, but man that was a sexy way to leave my system running when I had to do a few things before logging in, was a very nice screen.

They don’t (And have said it before) have any way of detecting cheating in this game, most of the info is done client side (Really not sure why they did that) They want you to take a picture in game and send it to them, but as of yet, of the 144 people I have sent emails for cheating, some flat out admiting they are doing it in the shots, none have been banned so far.

An hour ago I went into kegball to try and work on my achievements only to be met with two naked norn map hacking and speed hacking all over just knocking people that came in down, then when someone was added to there team the message for evening the teams out would come up and they would be sent to our side.

To this day we have…
Map hacking / teleporting
Speed changes, 100-200-300-400-500%
no clip
and team modding
see hidden objects / players

Those are just the ones that are well known and shown all over youtube. It’s easy to see that nothing in this game will ever be taken seriously as an e-sport, they would have to rebuild the entire game.

We definitely want to fix any issues with the Mystic Forge, and we’re sorry to hear that some of you haven’t been getting items from certain recipes. From what I understand, part of what makes fixing these issues difficult is finding the recipes that are broken, as there are a very large number of possible combinations.

To help us identify the problematic recipes, please try to be as specific as possible when reporting recipes that don’t work. Example: saying that you put in four masterwork items and didn’t get anything back isn’t as helpful as saying that you put in four masterwork greatswords and didn’t get anything back, as the latter helps us focus in on a particular item type/recipe.

No, I would say that this is not working right at all, I play a lot, this is ONLY counting fractals, I have not at all gotten exotics in world events or drops. This runs around 160hours of play, (I figure a bit more to be honest), if a player puts in 160 hours and comes up with almost nothing at all over 20 days and partakes in everything the game has to offer, no it is not working right at all, or you’re setup the game to force us into paying you in order to earn things on our own and not be pushed into the trade post to play the market or buy the gold from you.

Haha, this choosing level thing is pretty silly. How can a person on level 2 fractal help in anyway with level 21? They’d go splat the first time agony gets triggered! I guess they can be the distraction…

I am sure on paper they think it’s great, and heck if you are playing with friends it really is. But if you are playing with randoms you’re just going to get what we have now already, high level players only playing with fellow high levels, and the low levels complaining that the over 10 groups they get are too hard.

This will only partly fix the issue.

With level scaling you will not be 1-shotting everything. Methinks you never actually tried this option before complaining about it.

Yea I guess I did read it badly, because it’s not something you can do at all in this game.

I’ll try to go over these questions (?) one by one to help you out.

1: WvW issue:
Sorry to hear about how you feel doing this, a lot of fun can be had in small groups (What I do) of friends over voice going behind the lines to take points out that are not around anything being focused, give that a shot, as for your system being too weak, sorry nothing I can help out with there, just need to upgrade.

1.5 Spvp: Again sorry, nothing I can offer here, just like leveling it’s something you need to put time into, and not something that will be handed out.

2: Map Completion:

3: Crafting:
There are many options for gear looks in the game, if you don’t feel the item look is good enough to spend that much time for, there are many options out there.

4: Events:
Not everything in the game is setup just for you, it takes into account the wide range of players and tastes, nothing I can really offer here aside from just play what you want.

5: Fractals:
If you are stuck on level 1, they are changing the system, aside from that use the site (http://gw2lfg.com/lfgs) to find a group within seconds. I’ve had other people complain and now they are on level 30+, use all the servers to find your group, limiting yourself in the end only hurts you.

6: Alts:
Nothing I can help you with here, again it’s your taste, stick to what you enjoy.

7: Overview
It seems that you may just be putting too much focus into events and what you think needs to be done instead of doing what you enjoy. If it’s pvp that you enjoy the most and WvW is your focus (From the way it sounds) then dive into the game with friends or make some friends that share your view. There are many people out there and I’m sure you can make some if you take the time to do so, I’ve made around 150+ friends that share the same style of play as I do, and it makes things easy. Remember this is a MMO, the point of these games is to make friends to do things, and in the long run it helps make the game more enjoyable as well.

Was able to get into 15 games with friends so far, one enters then you wait till you see someone else go in then your friend enters, oddly teams seem to be working on whatever overflow you are on.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, if you are playing and have the gift and just stand at your base for a bit, the game bugs out and it spawns gifts non stop, tested this twice to make sure that is what went on, sure enough worked both times.

At least a tun of people got there achievements from it.

Just finished doing this in the worst way I think it can be done.
When you enter the room if you have the game on low video settings 65% of the orbs are missing in the air. (Show in the two pictures attached) this makes it look like you have to jump these crazy lengths for each orb and you hit areas where you can’t get to the next one without finding these invis orbs in the air, what I ended up doing was placing my aoe around until I hit an orb and then used that as a spot to jump.

After I had finished the puzzle I saw someone come in and easily find the orbs jumping from one to the other, thats when I figured the code was badly done (like most things in this game) and it was just not displaying them for me. So I went ahead and upped my settings to max and true enough they were all there, going back to min they were all gone.

I’d like to see it bumped up from 7 to 50-75, it’s too low as it is, I was able to finish it in 2 days easily, in just 2 runs. This should be something I have to work on all the time for a month.

I just wanted to jump in here and ask, anyone with this issue, do you set your resolution higher then your screen allows? I know this was a walk around for the FoV issues and a lot of people did this (Like myself) If there is an update you have to reset your resolution to native and then launch the game, after it has update and you are in go ahead and change it back.

I can see there is a lot of misinformation being tossed around by those that are not informed or educated on the subject, I thought I would toss this in here so that a few people that do wish to know will be able to easily.

First off, yes this is a disability, Color blindness is usually classed as a mild disability. This does not take away from the fact that yes it is a disability. Also for those that do not know playing games does help with learning how to cope and handle it, and most schooling is now leaning to push students into games to help.

We enjoy playing games on the same level as anyone else, we just play at a disadvantage…

We have been seeing more games over the past few years pushing to put these features into games, such as WoW, swtor, rift, EQ, EvE, and so on, honestly the list is huge when it comes to game devs that wish to support there player base.

Now for those that do not know what it’s like, there is a feature that will help you learn what we deal with in game already. Go into Options and under “Combat” check the box for “Disable Area of Effect Rings” and then I’d say go into WvW, Spvp, or a few dungeons. This should give you an idea of how many times you’ll be sitting there getting hit before you can get out.

I ended up poping into the first post about this when it came up way back then, and I’ll pop into this one, I would not mind an option for something in game to help me out, out of 10 spells 4 of them end up hitting me due to not being able to see the ring at all. I’ve been able to get by so far, but most games now end up having an option for us.

I understand what you are trying to do, but what you are trying to judge it by is not even close, nor do I think you fully understand what it’s like for us that are fully colour-blind, I may not need a card, but I did have to grow up taking special classes with students that were disabled as well, I also remember very well getting yelled at over and over until they found out that I really could not tell the two apart.

There are levels to what a person is, I can’t suddenly see something that I can’t. This is not something I can man up and get over, nor is it one I expect everyone else to go out of there way to make it work for me.

changed my stats up a bit more, also have the delusion staff with superior sigil of corruption for the 25 stacks of condition damage.

I have the same bug, I finished each of the achievements as they were sent out. I have them all completed but my “Emissary of the Mad King” achievement is still stuck at 4/5.

Would love to know how to fix this considering I have done everything.

I missed this achievement last month so I burned myself hard grinding out 100k exp in one zone no teleports so that I would not risk it bugging only to log in later today and find it set as ???.

FML, this is anoying and better be fixed to reflect what people have done already.

I have to agree with drake on this one, you bought it, was a mistake but it’s not a bug or anything like that, just be careful when you buy items and make sure you know what you are buying, don’t just click things and then hope for the GM’s to waste time fixing your mistakes, they have enough on there plates already.

I feel that the buffs need to be changed over, you already have a server that was strong enough to take all 3, they don’t need the help, they have 2 servers trying to take them from them so they can defend, they need the xp/karma and MF buffs etc etc, and the other two need the power buffs to brake in and take the orbs, this would make fights better and allow people to focus on defending while mixing the games up more then X-server had orbs for 10 hours and was too OP from buffs, GG for 1 week, or 2 weeks soon.

If your intra-guild communication is so bad that your guild officers—the ones you trusted enough to give the ability to claim a site—are not aware that you have claimed the central castle in the game then how can they be possibly be doing an effective job of defending it?

I have to agree here, you set the people you want to be able to claim the points, you should be talking to your leaders on what points you have and what you want to move onto. There is nothing wrong with the system, just the players. If you are having issues I would say to talk to your members, find the weak link and cut it.

To be honest I did not know this, but I have just started a few days ago, sadly now I’m going to be less likely to help heal the group and get people back up and focus on attacking and not knee cap myself on rewards….
