Many responses, thanks guys.

I was actually a bit disappointed that i had the boost because i know full well starting at max level is like scaling a cliff with no climbing experience! I’ll have a look around the new zone + do the original story quests to start with, see if i can get a “lay of the land” so to speak.

And had a level 80 boost which i used.

Any tips on what i should be doing? Im actually clueless and tempted to just level from scratch lol.

Also, i wanted this char to be a Druid however everything BUT druid was unlocked and now there are no hero points left. Any way to reset them? If not any idea how i get more?

Once the code is redeemed, it gets linked to the account permanently, and this cannot be undone in any way. Our normal policy, like most other retailers, is that we are unable to issue a replacement or refund on used digital goods as they were sent to your email, valid and unused.

For any technical issues such as yours, please contact ArenaNet support, as they’ll be able to better assist."

I already issued a chargeback on paypal lets see how it goes

Just out of interest, did you create a brand new account when you got the key or did you use an old account?

Old one

I think its something to do with the old account personally. I think if the key was bad it wouldn’t have even been accepted on the account.

Lol if it is them i don’t know how they could say its valid when they “Send them” considering 30 seconds later its not. We shall see, it’ll take a while to get through to ArenaNet support.

Yep, thought id come and find out whats taking so long, glad to see I’m not the only one waiting. I actually haven’t even played the game.

I purchased the game, base game with HoT, attached the key to my account, downloaded the client, went to login and apparently I’m a permanently banned gold seller (wow i work quickly!).

Put a ticket in 10 days ago, nothing. Basically i withdrew money from a cash machine and set fire to it.

P.S i see a few people who clearly are not waiting for support on here happily able to login looking down from their high horse at people who are clearly frustrated (and rightly so) waiting. Just do you know, waiting over a week to hear anything back as a paying customer from ANY support service is a disgrace and seriously needs more resources dedicating to it. Even BT respond quicker than this (don’t get me wrong, their responses are useless) but still.

I’m having the exact same issue as you are .

Well 11 days in, they have looked at my ticket twice and totally ignored it. Don’t hold your breath.

Let me just re-iterate the sticky post:

All support requests go into one big “bucket,” or queue. Whether the issue is large or small, critical or less urgent, every contact comes in as a customer support “ticket” and every ticket goes into a single queue. From the queue, our agents answer tickets in the order received. It’s not possible to expedite your issue by posting on a forum or on social media or by reaching out to individual employees.

So it dosent matter what your ticket was about or how many people, im assuming it went to the back of the queue, have you waited more than 11 days like myself to hear anything?

Well yeah, hit 11 days, but finally got a response telling me they determined I in fact did get hacked. And that to reply to the email and wait for a response. I replied to the email about 6 hours ago.
I am not complaining about the wait now. Its the middle of the night so I expect maybe a response during business hours. But yeah I understand the salt.
I am glad this guy got a swift response, it was a really messed up error that wasn’t their fault at all. But like he said, to all the people still waiting, and there are plenty of them. Its kind of a slap in the face knowing they can and will expedite. I imagine its because he posted on the support forums and got elevated. So contrary to what is said in the stickies, posting on the forums probably helped this gentleman. This title to this thread kind of makes you want to click it and read it cause its a serious subject.

The wait is a joke but now that I’ve realised that the queue isn’t even a queue but a “choose your ticket” section i’ve taken my issue to https://www.bbb.org/western-washington/business-reviews/computer-software-publishers-and-developers/arenanet-llc-in-bellevue-wa-22017235/

As you can see, this is regular practice from ArenaNet from the responses.

Wait, have you already gotten a response to your ticket?

Yeah, all sorted; sorry for the peeps still waiting. I dunno if it’s because my ticket concerned muliple accounts, or what, but it’s been dealt with really quickly. (Thanks, Support!)

For those kind enough to offer suggestions and speculation:

We had two unrelated issues: sending my daughter 50g to buy some gems did indeed auto-flag something and get both of us suspended (!) and my wife’s account was suspended because Digital River didn’t like multiple upgrades going through and rejected her payment.

See now, from their sticky post i was under the impression that all tickets went in a queue. How long did you wait for this response? Seen as ive been waiting 11 days and heard literally nothing.

After about 6 days in, I did a follow-up message to kindly ask for a status update. They replied to me a day after. Patience is definitely key, so hopefully that should help?

Haha that was my first of 2 problems. For reasons unknown to science you cannot pick in the year 2017, the folder for it to install to…Dont ask me why.

Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me roughly how long i should wait for a ticket to be answered before i chase it up? Literally just bought this game and apparently im banned for being a goldseller 2 hours later before i’d even installed the product :S. Would be nice to know when i can expect to play it.
