To everyone that says GW2 is dying or failing

This makes no sense, obviously if the game is not dying or failing as you claim and server populations were based on current players then servers would all be filling up and new servers would have been made.

Since the game is not dying then there must be a constant influx of new players which would warrant the creation of new servers to handle this increase of player base, correct?

So if server populations are remaining relatively the same and no new servers are being created this must mean the population is not growing.

WoW continued to grow and create new servers for many years, GW2’s population has remained static since week 2, what does that say about the state of the game?

Seems that the majority of the negative posters have no solid proof for any claims of the game “dying”. Anecdotal evidence is meaningless.

The poster Dusk makes some viable counter points, with evidence that can easily be reproduced by anyone that logs into the game, and what are the responses? Nasty personal attacks is the best rebuttal? Attempting to cyber bully is inappropriate, and it really shows your ages.

Too bad you cannot enjoy the game, thank you for supporting it with your purchase, and have fun playing pandas, or whatever you think is a game that is “living”… lol.

Dude, it’s hilarious how they respond too. If you ask them to provide ANY factual information at all, they just call you names and ignore you. But when Dusk gives factual information to the contrary, they vanish.

You will now probably claim that these statistics are irrelevant or something

I personally don’t play this game anymore and neither do any of my friends, I wish that we could… there’s simply nothing FUN content wise to keep us entertained any longer. The leveling experience was done right, but that’s about it. I think a large portion of the players feel the same way.

Game is dying, so what are you doing to fix the only content you have?

What a silly statement Suds, by your logic Diablo 3 was never dieing either and in fact had an extremely healthy population as it sold over 6.5 million in it’s first week!

erm…

From what I observe the game is “dieing”, much of my guild and friends have already moved on.. There’s just not enough things to hold the attention of most level 80’s at this point in time.

Gaming: Hobby or Addiction?

Fun fact, your playing the exact same game as these “addicts” whom you don’t want to be associated with.. stop trying to act like your superior and that we should “get a life”.

I’ve played over 100 hours, go to school full-time, have a job, keep fit and STILL manage to maintain a relationship. Maybe it’s you who needs better time management skills? I think this is the first gaming community I’ve witnessed to so eagerly label anyone who plays the game a different way then them as “losers”. Instead of attempt to psychologically evaluate others who enjoy playing this game why don’t YOU find a better use of YOUR time? truly pathetic.

Someone who replies in such a way, I believe I struck a cord. Judging by the post you made you have jumped to conclusions about e community as a whole, and honestly you got so defensive you didn’t really write a a well written arguement.

Just because someone has a job and family doesn’t mean they cannot be addicted to something. Lots of women are married to alcoholics and still stay with them, even though they are in the relationship it does not mean it is a healthy one.

Secondly get your facts straight, I wasn’t on here acting self righteous about gaming. You act as if I came on this forum shouting at anyone who plays video games and in that case I would be a hypocrite.

I’m sorry but sometimes the truth hurts, people have addictions and if you never call someone out on it they may never recognize the issue or try and helpthemselves or seek help.

You did hit a chord, as a video game player I can’t believe other gamers are perpetuating the age old stereotype of game players having no life.

And your making assumptions now, I honestly don’t see why you feel the need to shed light on these addicts so they can help themselves.

I’m sorry but you’re a self-righteous clown

Yes, we should all play the game in short intervals to have fun right? I wouldn’t call hitting 80 in 2 weeks “rushing” to the end when you are literally spoon-fed massive amounts of exp for doing anything in the game.

Sure, the whiners may be vastly outnumbered for now, the majority is not level 80 yet. Just wait a couple weeks I guarantee you will be seeing this “small minority” of complainers exponentially grow as the player base reaches end-game. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, this will be almost exactly like Diablo 3. Soon the players will be dropping off like flies

Agreed, me and my friends were excited for spvp at launch and were devastated when we realized we had no control over our assigned team, playing and coordinating with your friends is much more enjoyable than competing with them(to me at least). Haven’t touched it since.

Didn’t rush and I did enjoy, love how we all apparently rushed to 80 quick when this game literally rewards you with tons of experience for any little thing you do.

We’re just stating our concerns (which are valid) haha… look, the fanboys were defending D3 from criticism too saying how much fun they were having and that those complaining should leave. Do you know what happened?

Keep praising anet on their “revolutionary” game and telling us we should leave and that it’s not the game for us, just don’t be surprised when the game is a barren wasteland in 2 months

Everything you’ve said is true, this game has one of the worst fan boy followings i’ve seen…

Yes, me and my friends were all in awe and raving over how great GW2 was while we were leveling, it was a fantastic experience! However, the lack of content really becomes apparent at 80. The DE’s are not dynamic at all, following a zerg group around Orr to farm karma is 10x grindier than anything I’ve done in any other mmo. You want us to run around and explore the map? what? I’ve done enough of that on my quest to level 80 thank you very much (and trust me, collecting all vista’s,wp is in fact a grind).

WvW was fun at first but after a couple days you start to think what’s the point? For 5% increased server karma? There needs to be rankings or cool skin rewards, something players can work towards.

sPVP is a joke, you can’t even play unless you have a full team as it will auto balance you and your friends on opposing teams, who thought this through?

Honestly you can tell me i’ve been brainwashed by other mmo’s but the reality is once you hit 80 for a week I guarantee you will begin to come to the same conclusions as those of us who are already 80. I fully expect players to begin dropping off like flies much like D3, I know my friends who are 80 don’t even log in anymore.
