Guild Wars 2

My apologies if I am posting this in the wrong section. I had previously submitted a ticket to provide feedback which reached support who suggested I post in the Guild Wars 2 forums.

After purchasing Path of Fire I decided I wanted to take a look at Guild Wars 1 in order to explore the lore. I own prophecies and nightfall. I was looking to purchase factions and eye of the north. I found factions is being sold for $29.99 but for $29.99 I can buy the trilogy with prophecies factions and nightfall. For $19.99 I can buy the game of the year edition of Guild Wars 1 but also for $19.99 I can buy the platinum edition which includes eye of the north and if I want just eye of the north I can buy just that for $29.99. I am very happy with my Guild Wars 1 and 2 purchases I am just very confused as to what editions are best to buy to complete my GW1 game.

One suggestion would be allow GW1 games/expansions to be sold in Black Lion Store for Gems. I have purchased both the ultimate editions of HoTs and PoF. Thank you very much for your wonderful game, support staff and community.

Would be nice if they moved to DirectX 11 or 12 and move more to the GPU.

A lot of good names are taken but yeah it would suck coming back after a few years and finding out you have to rename all your characters

I am hoping this gets resolved soon. Hopefully they get back to you soon and it all works out.

I had that issue too. I managed to get around it buying a smaller amount of gems twice and let the GMs know. I also let them know other people were having issues. Hopefully this gets sorted out.

Write support a ticket. I let the CS team handling my ticket know that others were having issues too and I told them you were having issues FakeZ. I would suggest writing them a ticket.

Here are the instructions to clear the cache
The following steps have helped some other players resolve this issue. Can you please try the following and let us know if this fixes your issue also:
1.. Completely close the game
2.. Go to temp folder by going to start/run, type in temp and hit enter
3.. Browse to the folder gw2cache-(guid). Example: “gw2cache-(50641E0B-3AD4-1601-081E-6450D43A0116)”
4.. Delete the whole gw2cache folder

Restart the game and see if this resolved your issue making a purchase.

I had submitted a ticket and they told me to delete my cache which did not help me. I even tried a different client and three different credit cards (MasterCard and Visa) as well as paypal. I informed CS after they were unable to help me but I was able to make a purchase that others were having issues and linked them to this thread and another thread I found. I hope you figure it out soon

I was able to purchase gems. I was wanting to buy 8000 ($100 USD)gems but it kept giving me that same error. Unfortunately I had to buy 4000 gems twice which is still cheaper than buying those gem cards. Have you tried that?

I am having the same issue. I was told to delete the game cache which didn’t fix the issue. I am awaiting response after I let them know.

I was unable to buy gems today as well. I tried a few credit cards as well as paypal but it kept giving me an error and telling me to try again later. Should I open up a ticket?
