I thought yesterday’s patch was supposed to address the map completion bugs? It’s worded so vaguely that it doesn’t refer to which bug it was meant to fix. If it’s in regards to us not getting verdant brink/ auric basin/ tangled depths/ dragons stand/ silverwastes/ dry top/ south sun, characters with 100% map completion are still not getting their rewards for completing those respective maps. I thought we were supposed to be rewarded for already having map completion… Not punished. Please readdress/ fix the issue. :C

I figure they’ve been working on it but it’s not as easy to fix as some of the other crashes. I’m pretty patient over all. I’ve waited two weeks, I’m sure I can wait a bit more, I just wish I knew if a fix was soon or not I suppose.
For me, reproducing it is as easy as logging into a character, swapping maps, loading pvp/exiting pvp. Basically anything that requires me to load a screen. To get around it I just hit windows while it’s loading and wait for the icon to glow orange and then I’m back on my merry way. But it’s annoying as ‘f’ when I forget to hit windows.
The only time it doesn’t happen is if loading in the same map I was already in (includes pvp matches) or of I’m loading the game itself up until the character screen. Once I select a character the shenanigans begin.
They’ll probably release them again during the game’s anniversary sale, but I understand where you’re coming from. Gem prices soared when the wings were put up for sale.
They’ll probably have to patch it again if that is the case. I’d suggest taking some screen shots if it happens again. It wouldn’t be the first time and won’t be the last time that something previously fixed needs to be fixed again. Every patch update brings with it the possibility of reopening some old issues. I do remember this issue from when it happened last time, so I think I know what you’re talking about. The group I run with is usually pretty good about waiting for everyone to catch up and letting the NPC’s run in first just in case.

This ticket is only two days old, however my original ticket would be over three days old. Unfortunately the original ticket is inaccessible due to the email that was used does not send/receive emails appropriately. As that email doesn’t receive I have no way to access any response or automated mail sent to it.
Then they should make it compatible instead of being lazy. They made it incompatible by not making it adjust to the armour classes. It’s lazy design and lazy coding. Hiding shoulders and gloves isn’t good enough. They should have never made outfits in the first place if they weren’t going to make it so we could mix and match. Whoever made that decision should have been slapped on the hand and told no. We already have a plethora of tonics that take up bag space, if they were going to pull that stunt they should have just made them tonics or make tonics into outfits. I’m well aware of the ‘reasons’ why they made outfits, and from day one since outfits were released I’ve been against them.
I don’t know how you folks at Arena Net feel about this, but I have a suggestion regarding the outfits. I get that some people like them, more often than not, myself and others feel frustrated (not speaking for everyone, maybe not even for the majority) that we can’t mix and match with our current armour. Time and time again, I see bits and pieces of an outfit that would go amazing with my gear, but I don’t like the outfit as a whole. So I have two suggestions.
Allow us to buy items separately with gems (As some of us really don’t care about clipping issues)

Release them similar to black lion weapon skins. So create Black Lion Armour Skins complete of course with armour scraps and armour tickets.
The second option, some people will be less favourable to due to having to rely on RNG, but we would at least be able to sell the items on the market which is an integral part of the game for some of us. I personally am tired of all of the accountbound items. I have several carapace boxes that I’d love to give to people who need them but can’t. Sure I could just open them and break the items down but then they’re lost forever outside of a few ecto’s and mats. It would also give us a wider range of armour to play with and I’m sure you won’t mind dealing with the clipping problems if you’re making that much more money from gem purchases due to people buying keys. You could even do a key sale if you were to do this and still make a hefty profit.
I just want to make my character look unique and I can’t get the look I want with the current system that’s in place. This one or the other thing really needs to go. Either way, I would gladly pay more gems for an item I actually like and can use to it’s fullest potential than pay for an outfit that I might use once in a blue moon and don’t like as much as I could. Yes, I also realize I don’t have to buy the outfit, which in turn saves me money, but really. The customization in the game really needs some work. I’ve been playing since Closed Beta and I was one of the unhappy individuals with the outfit release. I DO have several outfits, for the record, but would much rather mix and match.
I’m going to pre-empt this by saying, this is not a post that is complaining, just a post where I lay out some confusion and am looking for clarity by the developers.
Ineffable crafting, some of you may have noticed in your weapon/artificing/huntsman or leatherwork/tailor/armorsmith that we have gained a new inscription/insignia. Several in fact. Now, my confusion stems from the following... Why are these account bound, and why does it take 20 ectos to make some of these items, for a level 65 exotic weapon? I’m really confused as to why these even exist or why anyone would craft these items outside of the sheer curiosity. Now, granted, you get to pick your stats, so that’s kind of a plus, especially at lower levels. The level 65 exotic is far better than a level 80 green, so that’s certainly a plus but I was extremely disappointed to find out, after crafting the item that it was account bound.
What is with all the account bound nonsense lately? What gives? It’s also extremely disappointing that these items have skins that already exist in game. It would have been more exciting for me to discover new items if the skins were new. I’m highly unlikely to make a set of any of these items at this point. Both because the skins aren’t new, and because I can’t sell them. I’d be better off selling the mats or making an actual exotic weapon worth selling.
The items basically act like ascended items. Both in terms of the ability to pick your stats and the item being account bound. Although with the items I’ve mentioned above, you aren’t able to infuse them. However, I’ve also noticed some of the newer items lately have the ability to be infused. So does this mean that you’re trying to get more people into fractals? If so, that’s great, but account bound items is not the way to go about it...
A lead huh… What happened to the other identified issue?
I noticed the change in the colour of the names immediately when I went into wvw. I was very pleased to see that dead people have a different name colour. Makes things a LOT less confusing.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I would probably be a little more understanding of the issue if they told us exactly what went wrong and what steps they’re taking to fix it. It’s a little disappointing, logging in every day and no chest or mail with the rewards that we worked hard for.
Still waiting to get my chest for season 2. My disappointment grows. Hopefully it gets fixed and whatever glitches are causing this debacle are dealt with before the next season begins.

I’m Canadian, but close enough. What I was mostly referring to is when the reset happens, everyone is kicked out of wvw, so when you enter wvw you start with a clean slate for the new match up. Now imagine that you just got in, only to get kicked out again due to a patch and all the worlds are now queued due to everyone who has a faster connection was able to get in first. I personally don’t have the problem with the queue as I have fast load times but I have guild mates who don’t have that luxury.
WvW reset for you, being 4 hours ago, wouldn’t have the same impact as though the patch being released just as wvw is being reset. It’s a situational thing. That’s what I’m getting at, and nothing more. So my comment still stands, for us “Americans”. :P
I suppose at least they didn’t do it at wvw reset and did it a little earlier. I would imagine the forums would implode if that happened. Though it wouldn’t be the first time. Would be nice, however, if we could maybe sell back our free trait resets to the gem shop or something. I’d give them away if I could.
Either make the blue parts dyeable or some way to turn off the blue..
The armour has a lot of potential if it was more versatile. Personally I would prefer it if we could dye it like the dynamic stuff coming in later patches.
I’d like them better if it wasn’t pink girly hearts. I’m not a girly sort of woman, I prefer a bit more edge and darker styled weapons. I suggested possibly making the hearts black for those of us who are willing to buy the skins but I highly doubt that’ll happen.
They should have left the original set alone. I’m disappointed just from how terrible it looks, sadly I expected it to turn out this way considering the other two skins and the amount of complaints over the original since you had to spend a lot of gold in game in order to acquire the normal set.
I have the opposite issue, having found several precursors recently. I’d say it’s just horrid RNG, which sucks because it can be a little soul crushing after a while.
Just piping in to say that mine is missing as well and has been missing since the new UI/Event patch for the Twisted watchwork was released.
I’m sure that all the people working on the LS already know that people like to go to message boards on the internet and complain about games/content they didn’t play yet.
That being the case, I hope that they will only start to consider our feedback as legit complaints after the event goes live. Meanwhile, it is just mindless whining.Well, seeing as press who already have played or seen the content played are also complaining lets not pretend its people making assumptions based off of nothing.
The issue is that Devs come here after a bad release, say they understand what didnt work and that they are learning (*Cough Colin coming in here saying they understand permanent content is important and more will be coming) and then next month we see that nothing has changed.
Yes they are on a tiered release stage, but at this point they should have been able to modify atleast some things and we are not seeing that.
You can’t expect a month after any Dev saying that they plan to add more permanent development into a game to happen. It takes several months for it to be added. Most of the stuff that we’ve seen within the two week mini ‘expansions’ that we’ve had are pre-planned and most of the time finished well in advance of the actual release so it’s highly unlikely that it would be released only a month after them saying thus. It will likely take a few months for you to start seeing permanent changes as that is how development works.
