Hey Guys,
We are currently forming a 1v1 heavy class pvp club. The league is purely for fun and to see how far we can go with our heavy classes in a 1v1 setting.
At the moment we could use a GH with a lvl 2 arena to call home. Otherwise, we will be using a custom arena.
If you are interested in joining feel free to message me on here or in game and or leave a comment.
Thanks, perfect reply. Exactly what I needed to know.
Just coming back from a launch week departure and was wondering how long raids take to finish.
I just want to know if they are something I should pursue or not waste my time.
I play a lot but I can’t stand raids like in WoW that take 4+ hours.
Hey Guys,
I’m looking for a guild that frequently run fractals.
I play Warrior and have full ascended gear.
I quit back when the expansion came out and just back, I’m currently at 116 AR and highest fractal achieved is 65, as I quit the day after HoT came out.
But prior to that I did daily 49’s for like 6 months.
I’m looking to progress to 100 and then run dailies from there.
Message on here or in-game Tag:T for Typhon
As someone who avidly complains about PvP being boring and and lackluster I’ve decided to earn my right to complain by actually voicing my opinion on how to make it better.
In essence I would make 3 major changes to PvP to make it more interesting, engaging and most importantly, fun.
These changes include:
-Power Weapons
-More game modes
-Killing satisfaction
The first change I’d love to see is the addition of map based, timed and limited use power weapons. These weapons would spawn at certain times on the map and would be similar to ice bow’s, flames axes and the like, in that, they are wielded and have a limited use. An example is a rifle that has 5 shots, each shot is incredibly powerful and can down a player in one hit, and kill a downed player in one hit. These weapons would force teams to set up and strategize on how to control the weapons to enable them to maintain positioning on the map. If this system sounds familiar that because it’s inspired by FPS multiplayers, but would be a first for MMO PvP. Power weapons would force players to strategize and plan to ensure their team victory, while helping players feel empowered and useful.
Secondly, I’d like to see more game modes including the favorite across all genres…team deathmatch. Like many I enjoy mindlessly killing my enemies and racking up points, so why not make a game mode of it? I’d also love to see the addition of some sort of kill the carrier and or capture the flag game mode. As GW2 has many knockbacks, sprints and immobilize skills that would really lend themselves to this dynamic. Along with this, I’m sure many people would enjoy a ranked 1v1 arena. Where the best players can test their skills against each other in the ultimate showdown. No objectives, no team. Just one son of Tyria versus another.
Lastly, I think killing needs to be reworked. Currently I and many others, get no satisfaction from killing my fellow Tyrians in pvp. Finishers are a lackluster solution that just doesn’t give me the thrill of the kill. The death process is drawn out, first you fight then you down them, they avoid you and try to res, then you slowly “finish” them. Its a very slow and boring process and draws out the process. A quicker more satisfying death is beneficial for both parties and allows players to enjoy a faster-paced more exciting game.
In conclusion, I think PvP could greatly benefit from new modes and items of which to base strategy on. I also believe a faster pace and more satisfying experience is within reach with changes along these lines.
I’m aware many like PvP the way it is, but as someone who exclusively played many titles for PvP but can’t get into GW2 PvP, I’m sure their are many more like me left wanting and waiting.
Please Discuss.
Is there any chance we ever get a /talk emote? I know the RP’ers have been asking for years but I think content creators could also greatly benefit from a simple emote. There are many emotes we had in GW1 not in GW2 but I think think one would serve the most utility.
Just a simple /talk that makes your characters mouth move for 5 seconds would be greatly appreciated. It could be limited to open world and inactive during instanced content so as not to interfere with cutscenes.
I know this would be extremely low priority right now with launch and halloween content imminent but I’d love to see it on the agenda for early 2016.
Anyone wish we had this? General thoughts?
Hey Guys,
I’ve been away from GW2 for a little over a year and was wondering what the current warrior meta was?
Are there any sites with current builds? I know a lot of you even seem confused with the recent “beserker” change.
I’m still geared with full zerk and scholar runes.
Was just wondering so I don’t go into cof runs or fractals and get flamed.
If that’s medium armor you should use duelist pants. They are just plain tight pants that are a bit more like kerrigan than the psuedo-skirt thing you have now. Here’s a chat link

My characters wear way too much armor
What leggings are those?
My inventory graphic size is significantly larger than before and seems to auto-resize when I get more items. Has anyone else noticed this? I think it is incredibly annoying and makes it much harder for me to navigate through my inventory, people with 100 or more bag slots would probably agree.
Is there any way anet can provide an option to revert the inventory interface back to the way it was. The new version seems very obtrusive and and inhibits quick navigation.
I used to be able to view the majority of my inventory in a screen size like the picture , but with the new changes I can only view a few items.
Unless I accidentally messed up my own ui, (which i dont think I did because mine is still set on ‘small’), then I’d love a change to what it was like.
My new war:
T2 norn cultural mail
T3 norn cultural leggings
karma boots
radiant vambraces
If you guys are still killing that overgrown lizard I’d love to help.

As a GW1 legacy player, I’d love to see more Sociopolitical Diversification: Player housing, Guild Halls, and Faction Alliances leading to new game play opportunities, rewards and content.
I spent half over half my playtime in GW1 faction farming and I loved the town ownership/alliance dynamic. AB battles, JQ and MQSC were also really fun. I also love the idea of bringing back guild halls and maybe you can bring back GvG too?
I think there have been a lot of great points here and the main argument for the current system seems to be to keep wvwvw running in proper form. But, if anet were to change the system, I’m not saying that the transfer fee would simply become cheaper, but that it would become cheaper and a sort of “cooldown” would be enacted.
This cooldown would only allow players to switch servers once every six months, or even only once a year. The point isn’t to hurt wvw and enable servers to send spies everywhere, but to help players who are missing some of the most fun elements of the game. So, i think the cheaper transfer price along with the ‘cooldown’ would effectively provide a solution for all parties.
Hello everyone,
Most of us can remember the early days of Gw2, when servers were bustling with activity, transfer costs were non-existent and playing was all around a more enjoyable experience.
Since then the population has taken a hit, but much more so on certain servers. My home server (Kaineng), is lucky to have 20 people in LA at one time. Then I go over and guest on TC and see more people than I can count running around LA. There is clearly a huge population discrepancy and this has a huge affect on the gw2 gaming experience. The fewer people the less fun, plain and simple.
So why is anet punishing us and hurting our gaming experience by charging 1800 gems or ~123 gold, just to be able to switch to an active server? The average player cannot afford that fee. The quick and dirty answer is simply greed. They expect us to go out and spend real money to simply switch servers. What happened to free-to-play? This hardly fits a f2p standard since we literally can’t even do world events, ex jormag, balth, lyssa, teq etc… without switching servers. I understand guesting alleviates this problem, but we shouldn’t have to have multiple guilds between servers, have to wvwvw for a dead server and most of all feel alienated because we chose a ‘bad’ server back when transfers were free.
This problem doesn’t affect the majority of gw2 players because they are on the populated servers, but for many of us this is a major problem. Can we have a reasonable discussion on this? I’m not saying we need to have free server transfers, but we certainly need a more reasonable transfer fee. Somewhere along the lines of 500 gems or less and maybe a time commitment of 3-6 months. That way people are constantly changing servers but we also aren’t imprisoned.
Recently the Claw of Jormag end-event chest has not been spawning for me. This has happened twice now. I participate in the event from beginning to end and certainly do more than enough damage to be qualified for a reward, yet I received no chest? I get the gold medal award for event participation, but do not get rewarded with either the rare chest or the regular chest.
Has anyone else encountered this problem or know of a solution?
Thanks
