I had a similar issue but… it’s solved for me… i had jorneyman and apprentice recipies unchecked from previous crafting on another char.

I agree i got carried away and i’m sorry if anyone felt bad about it.

Still with the current setup that ANYONE can do a level higher then their reward level given they have someone that can start it for them beeing stuck at certain level does not necessarily mean that’s their reward level…

As for the drop rate. Try doing higher level maps then your reward level is, as long as it’s possible to stay alive at boss fight. IE if you have 0 AR try doing lv 18 once a day per character. If you have 2 lv 80 characters do lv 18 fractals on both of them only once each day. That’s what i’ve been doing for the past month (well since the new reconnection patch). And that is how i got most of my drop of essences. I also got 9-10 rings from daily.

Also try reading some murphy’s laws… i can bet there is one about trying to achieve something too hard

And once more, you were simply unlucky that you have such poor drop, my guild mates complain to me they have no use for them anymore… since on (reward) lvl 20-24 you have a chance to get an infused ring from daily, and on 26+ it’s guaranteed (if you’d be given one from daily).

Once more i apologise to all that i hurt with my previous post.

PS If you’ve done like 100 fractals you should be able to craft a fractal capacitor which would give you the basic 5 AR, and if you put your back into it the amulet for 30 laurels will give you another 5 AR, letting you (barely) stay alive at fractals lvl 20+.

Honestly man, READ what people say… I’ve asked you about your personal reward level and still i have NOT seen an answer to that question.

And as to summarise, i’ve just today hit 200 fractals completed. During which i got 5 vials, 4 globs and 1 shard (the shard just today doing for the first time a run at level 28 with level 20 personal reward). So it’s just a matter of plain luck by most part. Oh, and i was running as a support guardian when i got the shard.

Flaming at Anet won’t change a thing… giving more details about your reward levels, build type, maps etc might give us more hints. Also, try doing the even levels (12,16 etc) as supposedly the mobs on the 4th map got greater drop rate. Besides you CAN downgrade and and upgrade your essences via mystic forge. PS just remembered right now when i was about to hit “post reply” a friend of mine on the same run with me got 2 shards… where as none of the reast of my team got any. The friends reward level was 32+ (not sure exactly but 30 something for sure).
So be patient and it will drop someday. They’re not supposed to be very common resource as you won’t need them that much anyway.

I have to confirm that partially… i’ve done a bit experimenting.
The results are weird in a way.

If you have any non fractal equipment box equipped BEFORE fractal ones it takes precedence in sorting thus ANY equipment lands in it.

For fractal equipment boxes to sort uncommon, rare and exotic items properly you should equip them first (looking from top to bottom at bag slots) and the normal equipment box(s) last.

An example of proper way of doing this would be
Starter Backpack
20 Slot Fractal Uncommon Equipment Box
20 Slot Fractal Rare Equipment Box
20 Slot Fractal Exotic Equipment Box
20 Slot Equipment Box

Other types of bags/boxes that don’t sort equipment to land in them do not interfere with the sorting order.

Possible solution:
1) make the fractal bags take precedence in sorting items
2) optionally make a new option to enable the precedence in sorting for fractal bags

I’ve got “koss on koss” back item and it seems like the same thing is common to everyone i think… not sure why though. Game feature possibly?

You could start by telling us your reward level… if it’s below 10 you WILL NOT get even a single glob, even if you go to level 100…

Second… my guildmate has a similar issue while i myself having done like 20 runs with reward level above 9 have 4 globs. It’s pure luck… i’ve once had the chance to find 2 globs in 1 fractal… then silence for 7 runs (~24 fractal maps).

Try doing better DPS, that might help getting better drop and thus globs.
