I would argue that the game mechanics being altered is what is causing this scenario. You can put in 4 exotics and still get an exotic out, why not 4 superior runes / sigils? Some exotics are worth a lot more than others (ie. Precursors) and they stand a chance to drop, so how is it unfair to have the forge give you a chance at a better sigil or rune? As it stands currently, 3/4 of the sigils and half the runes are vendor trash. Even blues and greens (weapons and armour) can be salvaged for essences of luck, yet we can’t even throw superior runes/sigils into the forge. I agree with OP, though my rate of luck is much better for getting superiors from rares, i’ve had some great success (including several superior sigils of bloodlust) but it is hit and miss. Sometimes I’ve bought several and gotten nothing useful after forging them, other times I have 4 or 8 lying around from salvages and I get a good one out of it.

The EB Games in The Path in downtown, under Commerce Court was carrying them when I inquired quite some time ago (around Christmas I think). They were $25 for 2000 gems, but there was sales tax on top of that. I decided not to buy because without tax on the gem store, the exchange rate still doesn’t equate to the additional 13% tax.
Karka shell accessory and Toymakers back item are examples of account-bound items which stay account-bound even after equipping. It would be easy to implement on a Legendary. I have no problem with them not being account-bound before equipping, if people want to craft legendaries and then sell them I’m fine with that. Account-bound once equipped would be amazing. Some characters get orphaned in favour of other classes, and it’s a shame when a character equipped with a legendary isn’t even being used anymore.
Something to break enemy aggro and allow us to run at a normal pace again rather than feel like we’re towing a trailer as we try to move out of aggro range.
Also, the ability to switch to a birds-eye view camera angle when the camera becomes ridiculous (Norns and Charr know what I’m talking about). I’d pay for either of these abilities with gems, gladly! Oh, and account-wide speed boost! Yes please…
How about a personal asura gate? You can place each side wherever you want (except for top of jumping puzzles) allowing you quick transport without using a waypoint. You could reposition it say once a day if you wanted.
I’ve played with lots of thieves in dungeons and they do just fine. The whole “warrior or guardian or gtfo” attitude has to stop. If you enjoy the class, by all means level it and have fun! Thieves bring a lot to the table.
I don’t mind farming lodestones. I currently have 14 charged, 29 corrupted, 6 onyx and 5 molten from farming. It’s a change in pace from tagging endless mobs and I’ve gotten a large number of t6 mats from farming these lodestones too (esp. the corrupted in Frostgorge.) I do it because I enjoy it though, I’ll farm for an hour or 2, get 1-4 lodestones, then go do something else. It’s not like lodestones are the only loot to drop, the other stuff adds up too. But a charged lodestone, being worth 3 gold, is a better find than several rares, so even if they drop infrequently, it still makes it worthwhile. Granted there are those times where no lodestones drop for a period of time and that can be frustrating, but usually I have pretty good luck. These numbers are just from open-world farming, no dungeons/fractals/upgrading of cores, just straight lodestone drops from farming. Different strokes for different folks, but I enjoy lodestone farming. I find it…relaxing, and it’s always exciting when I find one.
Ectos were as low at 10 silver back in the day, and you are complaining that they are now 28 silver? Mystic clovers require about 250 ectos (sometimes more), plus the gift of fortune requires 250 ectos. At 28 silver a piece, that’s still 60 gold or so for a stack. Plus exotic gear was always supposed to be within easy reach, look at dungeon tokens. If people wanna grind, they do it for the nice skins, not ugly pearl crap. Ugly pearl stuff is a stepping stone. Ectos were too high, this new change is awesome.
About 3 weeks ago I got them 2 days in a row with my dailies. I remember because I was hoping this trend would continue but sadly it didn’t…
Hirathi Hinterlands has a series of events that happen in the north / north-east part of the map very frequently. Also, Wayfarer Foothills in the very south end has a number of events in a small area. Rampaging Minotaurs, Broodmother, Svanir attacking bear temple, some dude that builds an ice sculpture, and attacking a svanir camp can all come up in a short period of each other. Dredgehaunt Cliffs, in the south end, always has a tonne of events happening. Bloodtide Coast, there’s a section where the risen attack a village, and an npc can be spoken to to go gather eggs from an eagle griffon nest (there is a veteran there). These events can usually be done over and over, so it could add up. In Mount Maelstrom, take part in the series of events to open the COE dungeon, that’s about 6 events in one small area. There may be much better spots but these come to mind immediately. Looking forward to seeing some other suggestions here too! Good luck.
