I was thinking of using Force but i’m told they do not stack and it only counts 1 of them. What sigils are you guys using (I mainly pvp and i’m crit build if that makes a difference to the suggestions)
Apologies for the long post, I tried to give as much information as possible.
Every single quest/event in this zone is bugged or not working fully as intended, this problem has been there since release and seems to be on every server (I have levelled 2 different chars on 2 different servers through that zone).
Most quests seem to be broken by related events occurring, these events cannot be completed due to bugs leaving it very hard to finish any quests.
For example the lab at Goldenlight Hallow with the event where the beasts come through the portal makes all quest related content disable and cannot be completed unless the event is done. The event cannot be completed because the monsters respawn faster than you can kill them (maybe possible if a large group is there to kill them fast before any can respawn). There are work arounds to complete the quest (chain respawning npcs seems to be the most reliable way of getting the quest done) but these are not the intended methods.
The Quaggan event to repel the Krait invasion again does not work as intended. The Quaggan city Okarinoo waypoint can not be activated while this event is on, therefore 100% map completion is unavailable. Krait often get stuck inside the walls and become unkillable leaving the event in constant progress (some aoe spells can damage the krait stuck in the walls but they will just heal back up due to not being able to reach you).
The POI and Skillpoint east of Ogduk Waypoint cannot be obtained by most players because the Event to open them will not trigger without some very patient players monster hopping (aggroing Grawl to the npcs to get them into combat) the npcs to the camp to make the waypoint uncontested (the npcs will not walk there themselves as they are supposed to, they just stand in the river looking pretty).
Stovepipe Pogue: The Skritt are meant to be friendly to the player but they aren’t, for some reason only the Quest giver npc and one or two others are, the rest should also be (the quest clearly indicates as such) but aren’t.
Kyesjard: Only certain aspects of this quest can be done. The Skritt can not be interacted with at all, there is also no way of reviving the drunk revellers (I suspect a bucket of water is meant to be used like in similar quests).
Rankor Ruins: There are a few issues with this area, if the event to repel the risen invasion is stuck (whenever I go there it says 2/4 waves repelled but there are no risen at all spawning or even any in the area) then players have only one option left (all other quest gaining objectives become closed off) to complete the quest for this area and it’s extremely time consuming. All the player can do is collect artefacts and place them into the chests. The problem is these items regularly despawn while you are holding them and they also must be carried 1 at a time to a nearby chest.
The spider skillpoint at Urals Delve to the West of Rankor Ruins is also bugged. when you first enter you fight a “veteran spider” this one is a veteran and has the expected stats of one. However when you activate the skillpoint after that one is killed the “veteran spider” that spawns is clearly a champion one that has been mis-labelled. It takes a single player roughly 15/20 minutes to kill it assuming they survive long enough to kite it for that extended period. If a player has no kiting abilities they will not be able to do this unless somebody distracts the spider long enough for you to channel the skillpoint.
I’d estimate a rollback of over an hour, i’d literally just about finished a zone, it’s now only half done….
This is a joke right? Just got back in and the servers have ROLLED BACK, gotta redo half a zone or more now. Not good enough!
I’m guessing it isn’t but i’m wondering if there is a way to get into the jump puzzle if your server doesn’t hold any of the keeps with portal access?
This is a level 14 quest in the Asura line and it is nearly impossible for certain classes. as an engineer I could easily kite the Veteran Harpy around. I tried this on my Thief and it’s impossible. I cannot survive a single hit against the Harpy and ALL my trait points are in toughness and vitality.
I even bought a bow (dual wield daggers normally) to try and see if I can kite it around but it makes no difference, as soon as my endurance is 0 i’m dead, the damage is ludicrous.
I’m a fairly advanced player (I have a level 80 engineer) and I can imagine people new to such games will be hurling their monitors through their windows in frustration. Seems like I will have to wait until I am level 30 and have my elite skill in the hope I can somehow defeat the harpy then. I have researched into this and I know after the Harpy is dead I have to fight yet another Veteran Destroyer (this time a crab)!
I’ve recently started levelling a thief (I have an 80 engineer) and i’m noticing a lot of times when mobs can hit me in auto attack range and I don’t fight back. The mobs seem to stand just out of my range but they can still hit me. This is particularly noticeable vs Ettins and everything in underwater combat. My character just floats there taking hits and not responding.
It is fine while you have the initiative to gap close but a lot of the time you don’t because you aren’t auto attacking to gain any. Everytime I close the gap, the mob again retreats into it’s own auto attack range yet it is beyond my own. This can’t be intended as warriors do not have this issue….
I have 100% in this zone and yes nearly every quest is bugged in some way. To fix your issue with this particular poi and skill point do the following:
The waypoint needs to be uncontested to trigger the event that opens the gate. The way to do this is to lead grawl to the npcs in the river (they should have orange shields above their head, but they are the only 2 npcs randomly standing in the water, so easily spotted). Make sure to lead the grawl closest to the contested waypoint to the npcs so they move in the correct direction. It is a long process but each time they kill a grawl they remain in the position they killed it, eventually once you lead the npcs to the grawl camp the waypoint becomes uncontested.
Now the gate is openable and you will have to fight an npc and his 2 guardians, then the skillpoint is yours.
Update: After 5 tries it finally worked, still needs looking at, can’t do the quest if the Altars are not targetable.
I’ve tried this quest 3 times now and it bugs at various points. Sometimes the altars do not become interactable so you can’t continue with the quest. I’ve had it happen with all 3 altars now, sometimes I can get past the first 1 or 2 and then the 3rd one is not targetable. Seems a shame I have to restart the whole chain again (it should save your progress after each altar) when it bugs.
There is also no way to exit the area if it does bug other than logging out and back in again.
