The rewards are a joke in quantity and quality

1) QUANTITY
In PVE , EVERYBODY and i mean 100.000s of poeple are filling the economy

  • 20g / h by killing AI or even running in zergs pressing F on a chest

well, actually it’s not 20g /h by killing AI or pressing F on chest. It’s 20g /h by selling loot from AI or chests via Trading Post. There is no difference for player in terms of profit. But there is the difference for economy

A lot of people just spam abbilities on CD. If u use this vs condi thief youlll die 100% of the time.

The only i repeat only thing u need to do is starting to look at and hit the thief at the end of the dodge. He will spam dodges or dodge like abbilities whcih makes it super predictable and therfor easy to counter.

200-400 ping? what do we do?

play in your region, get better internet and ect.

Thanks for offering some input. I run a vanilla ranger. I know vanilla builds are inferior and Anet wants everyone to run the same meta builds but I enjoy my build. I was just about to break through Gold when I encountered this cancerous thief.

I realize that CC is probably the answer but I couldn’t land a single CC on this guy. He just dodged and evaded and stacked more condis until eventually I was out of clears and just melted away.

attack from range. For example: swap to sword after condi thief jump on you with steal. Dodge some of their spam 3, try to hit back. You have to survive 8-9 seconds. Than use sword to jump away from thief, cleance conditions and immediately swap to your ranged weapon and start attack him while movng away. Use CC if he will try to shadowstep to you. He can’t chase you while spamming 3. Also, you can use environment to climb in higher places: it will makes harder for thief keeping spam 3 to hit you. He can’t control his movement during 3, so this tactic can force thief to fall dawn or jump on the spot due he can’t use 3 to climb up. Also, there is small frame in the end of animation of dodge while he can’t actually dodge and will take damage and can be CCed but you need practise or luck to use this.

i’ve never understood why this build doesn’t get more play. as @Trevor Boyer notes its broken as heck.

i don’t know if you’ve ever had the pleasure of fighting more than one vault thief on a team- but it’s a nightmare. you can’t dodge them both so you just insta die all the time.

try to dodge 2 warriors while they are spaming arc divider every 3 seconds. You will feel the same. Similar feelings with any 2 classes with dps builds while they are focused on you.

If you have 30k HP it is almost imposible for any class to heal this up again during a fight to make use of vitality as a sustain stat.

any necromancer can use vitality as sustain stat due to Life Force amount depends on maximum health while Life Force generations is % of maximum amount of Life Force. For example:
with Soul Reaping tree your AA with staff gives 4% LF per hit
19212 HP = your maximum Life Force is 15242 and u will gain 610 LF per hit
31212 HP = your maximum Life Force is 24767 and u will gain 991 LF per hit.
So, necromancers with more health can soak more damage in shroud and regain LF a bit more effective.

The more your enemies die the less damage you deal.

You can’t DPS things that are waiting on respawn.

if your enemies constantly survive your DPS means you are doing something wrong and your impact on the match is low (unless you are using some special tatic to take points like constatly knock away enemies from point) regardless overral damage in the end can be pretty high.

There are some effects which reduce condition duration like rune of Hoelbrack. It affects overall damage you will take from conditions. On top of that we have some specific effects to reduce condition damage (see necro’s Corrupter’s Fervor for example).
Btw, i still don’t understand: do u have problems with burning in general or only with specific condition build like condi guardian? I have seen a lot of posts about scary almighty guardians but i haven’t seen posts about condi elementalist or revenants which have access to burning too. Furthermore, it will be pretty hard to found at least 1 elementalist in game who uses build with “broken” burning.

Except a necro gains dps from corrupting boons, while equipping nulli sigils is a dps loss.

and most conditions deals 0 damage. On top of that it is almost impossible to corrupt aegis in group fight and u will never find mobs with vigor…
Ussually taking necro to the party is already a dps loss. If we are talking about corrupting regeneration and retaliation it would be better in most scenaries just remove boons whatever way u like (sigils, mesmers) than taking necro for extra posion stack or confusions stacks.
Making Bosses with pulsing vigor just to increase necro’s dps seems weird.

The boss would have such a profundity of boons as to require 2 mesmers + a necro.

Or use the same group composition without any necros but some members use Sigil of Nullification
It’s more easier to make some changes to necro than rework every single boss in this game just for making 1 class more viable.

2 mesmers already bring 100% on quickness/alacrity as I understand it. Adding a third wont really improve anything there, creating a space for a reaper who can focus dps and boon corrupt in conjunction with the 2 mesmers in the current lineup. Maybe Mesmer sword AA = more dps than reaper idk.

my point is if 2 mesmers couln’t handle with boons how could 1 necromancer do it? Currect PVE meta is all about max DPS: you should be a damage dealer or provide a vital buffs for the highest dps with maximum uptime.
For example, necro should be able to sacriface Y amount life force with new\old “skill X” for decent amount of quikness, might, fury, alacrity, +10% damage aura or whatever.. Currect active effects and cooldowns of signet of spite or signet of undeath may be change for this.

Or perhaps add herald type foes that pulse multiple boons that cannot simply be removed fast enough by meerly sword AA.

this will be a nice reason to bring one more mesmer for more boon removal, quickness and alacrity
