I can deal with power creep and unbalanced classes that’s within my control. Having empty maps though is pretty much out of my control and depend on Anet for a fix. Myself and many others have a tremendous amount of time invested in WVW, over 9k hours myself. We deserve to be heard and hope that Anet is listening.
This is a quality post. Thank you for this. I dont say that about many posts but I think you have described the sentiment of everyone that used to enjoy WvW perfectly. I am surprised there are not more reply’s to this post. The new Borderland maps when off like a bomb to the WvW community. It’s actually really sad what has happened. I hope they try to comprehend how bad it actually is and do something to help restore our community.
Add me to the the list. The new maps are ridiculously hard to get around and more importantly not any fun to play. It feels like they were meant to gave gliding but don’t.
This thread is ridiculous. A good commander will either move to another gate and/or also teach his squad/guild/pug zerg how to build the correct siege. This is literally a L2P issue.

It’s never wrong to interupt a duel. Those who would have you believe otherwise and bring in words like “honour” don’t know the first thing about WvW.

What is a Clerics engi? I almost thought this post was a troll but then I read the entire post and saw that you were serious. As far as not wanting to play an engi in HoT I think you are missing out. They just gave us an AOE moa which is incredibly strong AND a mini sky hammer. Soon we will also have hammers. What more can you want? Condi is amazing p/p and p/s also zerk riffle is still just as good as ever if not more. You have so much cc as an engi I dont even understand why anyone would want clerics anything. I run full glass in spvp, wvw and pve and never run out of buttons and escapes. When we get our hammers the trolling and joy will be endless. Seriously it sounds like you should roll a guardian or a girlfriend specced ele.

Thats not me I main engi. Also he clearly doesn’t have the buff. Even full Nomads with the buff would hit harder than that. looks at the blob getting popped all around him. This video is not to display the buff damage. Look at whats going on around him.
Upgrading and defending isn’t roaming….It’s upgrading and defending. Im talking about small man roams that look for skirmishes. Dueling is a crucial part of sharpening your skills and making you a better player. Dueling spots in WvW definitely have their own culture and strengthen the community as a whole. I have made so many friends dueling in WvW that I would have never met waiting in OS. I have also recruited good players I have met in duels to my guild that I have played with for years. It is a part of WvW whether you acknowledge it or not and it isn’t going anywhere.

Also I don’t hear anyone commenting on how supply is also currently bugged. I have been trying to spend this 50 supply all week and it just wont go away. I have built rams, ballistas, trebs…it just stays at 50
I know your just trolling, but to point out the obvious, no not the troll buff picture. The dueling. Here we are peacefully dueling… it is great you can duel pat yourself on the back. But dueling isnt actually WvW, and has no affect on the outcome of WvW. So your statement actually has nothing to do with WvW.
Anywho maybe Im just not giving you enough credit and you are twice the troll.
Im not quite sure what you re trying to say here….Dueling clearly happens in wvw, along with Gvg skirmishes, and roaming…none of which have an outcome on WvW PPT or ranking…so none of these things are WvW? Are you not entertained?

The event is amazing. Thank you Arena Net for trying to switch things up a bit. You guys are acting like you are suffering through some horrific crimes against humanity. Lighten up a bit. Its not the first time in the history of MMO’s or even guild wars that there is an oversight. It’s part of game development guys. MMO players are the craftiest and most resourceful gamers out there. If there is a bug or a glitch, they will find it. I’ve gotten one shotted numerous times and just laugh at the rediculous numbers. This event only lasts one week anyways. Stop acting like Anet has intentionally ruined your life or is intentionally ignoring everyone.
after getting to play against sor+bg on reset i can say this is probably the funniest thing i have ever seen in gw2
claiming that t1na runs all ptv is wrong. there is no way they can run any kind of gear that has power even as minor stat.
I love the stigma against tanky players. WvW is about a team and our meta is made around AOE’s. Yes you get hit for 300 and laugh, but im hitting 5 people for 300 every second for 6 seconds. that’s 9k damage in 6 seconds.
Also stop disapproving T1 builds when you are tied with sos in last place.
So like… 1 warrior with shout heal trait but no heal power could keep 5 people at 100% against you forever? Without interrupting their attacks because shouts are insta casts.
