I had an idea that could possibly be simple to implement.
What if when the path selection window is open and you mouse over the options, there’s a pop-up with red text (like what you see if you know a recipe already) that says “You have completed this path X times.”?
It’s not in the Achievement UI, so no clutter.
Thoughts?
Login here is the same as for the game, is he using his email address to log in or his username?
He needs to use his email address. If that does not work he will need to email support.
Correct. He can url=http://support.guildwars2.com]contact Support[/url] by filing a ticket through the “Ask a Question” tab on that linked page. They will be able to assist. For tips on what information to provide in a ticket — mostly intended for security reasons to establish that you own the account — please read this post and provide as many suggested details as possible to expedite the ticket.
Thanks Gaile.
I can confirm this. Also not working in Safari.
A friend of mine is able to log in to game, but not these forums.
They try the password reset email and don’t receive anything (they checked junk too). And they are unable to submit a ticket.
Any tips?
It would take away any means of choosing the build to run.
The only downside I see to this, is people might be tempted to WP back to the beginning and use different builds/traits at different parts in the dungeon (ultimately wasting time and making things easier).
I don’t ~necessarily~ think that would be a bad thing though … more a form of tactics?
At the very least, maybe an NPC just outside the dungeon?
I’m not entirely sure what that means.
Perhaps next to the armour repair?
Who else thinks this would be amazing?
I did warn it was a whining post.
Warning: This is a whine post.
So I just bought a set of 5 Flame Dye Kits for 500 gems.
I got three natural dyes and two gray dyes. These are both blue rated items, which is bad enough, but MULTIPLES of just two dyes for 500 gems? Is this right?

It would be cool if they could add some safe box in LA, where all contents of unlooted chest get ported too, and anything uncollected after the daily reset gets deleted.
I like it. I like it.
I wonder if they could/should make these work like the bonus chests and have them pop up in the lower right side of your UI.
I guess it’s possible I’m hoovering them up during combat or they are obscured by defeated beasties during post-fight hoovering . . .
According to the forums it looks like they are, but I haven’t seen one in over a month. It makes me a bit concerned that I’m missing out on sweet, sweet loot.
I have got Masterwork and Rare drops, though not many.
This is Allona Horan!
She’s rocking a full set of Talkora’s armour … and one of the new hair colours.
I don’t have a lot to add, but would also love if contributions other than direct damage were taken into account.
I find it odd and clunky to have yet another item I need to be on the look-out for when there are already defeated beasties that sparkle when there’s loot available. I guess I just don’t understand why it was necessary to separate loot retrieval based on rarity.
I don’t mind Orion Templar.4589’s point:
I’d prefer they drop the requirement to press a key to pick up loot and just have it auto-loot items into your inventory (still have loot appear briefly on the right side like it does already). Saves time and saves needing to have the game render the gold sparklies or the wooden chests.
Edited to add: Another benefit of not having to spam F for loot is then you don’t repeatedly accidentally start conversations with NPCs.

What about a special ping?
If you see a downed player icon on your map, right click their icon and the map is pinged in a different colour — to separate it from the regular map ping (also everyone on the map sees this ping). Everyone (including the downed player) then knows that player is going to be looked after.
Again, this could be totally open for abuse. Which would suck.
A while ago a group of maybe three of four players were fighting a boss event. I went down and waited for one of the others to rez me. After some moments went by I finally chatted “rez?” A player immediately came over to me and rezzed me and I thanked them. Them they said something like “sorry for the delay, I just assume everyone is a bot”.
Not sure if that is a normal experience or not, but it got me thinking that I probably need to ask for a rez sooner rather than later and not just assume someone will come over to help.
I have been known to revive bots or AFKs a few times before I notice that I’m wasting my time …
Although, it does help with that one achievement!
I second Pinder.5261. In fact, I came to the forums to suggest exactly this sort of tool.
Often I will see a downed player on the map and would love some way of pinging them to let them know someone is on their way.
I realize this could be open for abuse if (when?) players decide to be jerks, hopefully not so often that it would become meaningless.
