It’s too strong and needs to be nerfed for sure. Not a huge nerf. I think a 2k -3k dps nerf should bring it in line with other dps classes

On stream last week the Condi thief had a 38k pull on overseer. Tgat was higher than normal but 37k isn’t crazy

how the duck did he pull such high numbers lol even od deathly’s kills he average around 31 33k or lower. Ill make sure to take a look on your twitch channel for the mo kill

This is not true. We have a kill where deathly peaked at 37k aswell without take root

Condi ranger should get a 1k dps nerf. Condi thief should be nerfed by 2-3k dps. If the leaks are true and they are going to nerf condi ranger and ignore condi thief, it will be even worse since condi thief is higher dps than condi ranger already

@Subli I must say we didn’t test on every single boss. The only small hitbox boss we tested it on was sabetha (and matthias if you count him as small hit box). When we tested it on sabetha, we didn’t test with icebow since we used 2 rangers which went up to cannons and 2 necros who where the main dps on the boss. The epi bounces would time perfectly into your scepter auto attack rotation so you could easly get a lot of dps.
We tested Icebow on Gorseval mainly since it’s the best boss to test staff & scepter for ele. I don’t remember the exact numbers but our conclusion was on scepter warhorn you kinda fill your air auto attacks with ice bow while on staff your fire auto attacks are still strong enough to make the loss of ice bow not that significant.

That said, if a necro is played well, he can still get significant dps numbers. As posted on my youtube video aswell, I got 28k dps (bgdm number) on a sabetha pug with no engi in the group. Even tho I had no other necro to bounce epis, I could bounce some conditions from the thugs and arsonist when they were close to the group and would get cleaved by some conditions. I also had a good run on vale guardian where I did the same but just with seekers.

Edit. afaik on small hitbox like xera and sabetha, Feel the Burn is a dps increase over Ice Bow on staff ele. I don’t know about scepter warhorn

You shouldn’t take this thread personally. Your post in reddit was still good on some points. If anet decided they should changed it, it’s not because of you, it’s because they think it was needed, and this is where I disagree.

Don’t worry, I don’t take it personally. I still think it’s a good change. I have argued with people from my guild about this aswell already. Some people in the qT say that the change is good, others think it’s not.

The problem I see with tear stripping aegis are the following:
1. they have a weird projectile and it’s not always clear when the projectile hits you so its hard to dodge it
2. a lot of people in my guild say that controlling tears is part of this fight, but you can’t always controll them, since sometimes they spawn inside the black or on top of hands OR they spawn at the same time when deimos is doing mind crush.
Ofcourse a mesmer could use shield 4 to get the tear on the black but most of the player base won’t do it or think about it and stuff
3. There is so much stuff that strips your aegis anyway already like the auto attacks of the black sauls or prides and small prides hitting saul and exploding, that removing one of the things is ok imo.

I just find it funny that people mention qT, even tho I made this post. Yes I am a member of qT but it doesnt mean that everyone in qT has the same opinion as I do. Even on the reddit post, there were qT members making comments against my argument of tears stripping aegis. In the end anet changed it only for challange mote, which will help more people to get demons demise. All the members of hardcore raiding guilds like qT or Snow Crows had this title since week 1 anyway so nothing changed for us.

It cant be argued that they went the wrong way about it instead of making the projectile more clear as to when and who it hits they basically rekoved its importance from the fight. Tbh i didnt see you post but if you didnt present a good way to change it then you should have had tbh (constructive feedback). Regardless im glad its now easier for you or anyone but it shouldnt have happened in this way. And tbh a good group should always have a backup plan b if theres not 100% chance that their a plan will work against a mechanic.

The problem is, you can’t invuln mind crush and aegis doesnt stack. This means there is literally no possible back up plan. The only possible back up plan would be to bring blocks on every single class. Warriors would need to play Zerk, Druids would need to bring Signet of Stone (which doesnt work since the CD is too high to use it for every mind crush) and so on.

I read trough all this post and wanted to add some stuff aswell. Since we tested necro a little aswell on some bosses.

1. There is not a single boss where necro is optimal
2. The only boss where we had good dps numbers was on sabetha, where the epi bounces would fit perfectly into your rotation + you could easly position yourself to get chill fields about 80% of the time.
3. I tested Ice Bow on necro a lot aswell and it was only higher group dps when the Elementalist played normal staff. On Scepter Warhorn it was a group dps loss. People have to consider that even tho, Necro gets a lot dps out of ice bow, ele also gets a kitten ton of dps since he has so many modifiers.
4. Unlike what kitten ymoa said in the first page of this post, 67% alacrity compared to 94% is pretty significant. Especially on Necro, since alacrity decides if you get a second Gravedigger off on a combo field or not.

Make that I can’t hear the dreamer sounds if I don’t have the weapon. If people made it and they enjoy the sound effect, that’s fine, but if I play with someone who has the dreamer, the auto attack sound is rather annoying in my opinion. Only the weapon owner should hear the sounds.

Sad how necromancers are kitten tier again. It’s the dungeons story all over again.

It would be nice if [qT] actually updated the Necro build and benchmarks though; the old build is quite dated. It would be nice to be able to refer my guild to this website for everything as opposed to having to caveat anyone looking for Necromancer guides.

Title pretty much. We had this happening all the time during the run and we even made sure that the kiter was the furthest player.

at 00:04 you can see that the heal ele is further away than me, yet they spawn on me. Since they spawn in like chains of 6-7 hands, it was because they started on me or sth idk.
But at 00:12 you can clearly see that they still spawn on me even the kiter is at max range. You can check in the minimap.

I am not 100% sure if it’s intended or not but on normal mode cairn, you are able to rez dead people since they are not beeing ported up to the invisble platform anymore.

Also if you get petrified, nothing happens. You can still move really slowly, attack, dodge and do all the other things.

edit. just found another bug, we had a run where he did his attack where he spawns the green circles, but there were no green circles. Will upload a video probably later.

this complete wing is an absolute joke. Waited 6-7 months for a new raid and all we get is this. The bosses look cool but their mechanics are either copies from raid 1 mechanics or no mechanics at all. Also 2 Bosses with big hitbox and 2 bosses with medium hitbox. Why would anyone bring anything else but eles to this wing. This raid just shows how little anet understand about their own game and that kicking experienced raid guilds from testing wasn’t a good idea at all.

The only good things are no time gates, no events like escort or trio and the overall look of the wing. The 2nd and 3rd boss are looking sick.

During the 20% phase when people get ported, Xera’s ambient magic can hit people up on the platform, doing the minigame, if they are to close to the wall. This should never be the case tbh.

while Anet reduced the burning speed cooldown to give dagger warhorn ele back it’s fluid rotation, they forgot about Wildfire. The third time you swap to fire, your wildfire is in CD for like 0,5 seconds. Auotattacking once to wait for the CD ends up in a dps loss so you still have the same problem.

While the rotation is better now, dagger warhorn rotation can be restored to the old one by just reducing wildfire cooldown by 1-2 seconds like burning speed. Ofcourse, this would increase Dagger Warhorn dps by like 500-1000

Fractals are not even close to raid difficutly and I think the new swamp difficutly is the right difficutly for the loot you get from t4 fractals. All of the t4 fractals should be as hard as the new swamp, if not even harder. Only the time gates are annoying. If you are not good enough of a player, or don’t want to improve, just do t3 or t2 dailies. For the first time, you have to do something, instead of just auto attacking.

When we all complained about wanting harder content (myself included) why did anet interpret that as being we need more difficult GROUP CONTENT.

Because this is an MMO? If you want Solo hard content play hard single player games. Don’t understand your problems tbh. I think raids are fine, they are fun and It’s not hard at all to find groups.

Approved with times 5:50, 3:32, 1:58 and 6:43. There is a bug with record filters which may prevent you seeing them on the site but I will fix it today or tomorrow.

I’m happy to see the very first raid records since they are infinitely better than anything we had before. Also this boosted Silberfischchen [Avi] quite a bit on the guild rankings (once I get filters working correctly).

@people: I don’t think its their fault that some guilds have decided to ignore community projects.

1. So as we know, there are 5 ticks on Gorsevals Ghastly Rampage attack (CC phase).
the first 4 ticks have a area where you can stay safely without getting damaged by the goo. the Last tick will cover the whole area so that you get damaged for sure if you dont block it or if you dont use disortion. Sometimes, the arena gets covered in goo after 2 ticks already and also the first tick does not follow its normal pattern. This mostly occured to us, when we didn’t break his CC bar before. I’m not sure if it’s just a visual bug but it sure is confusing as hell.

2. Sometimes we are not able to pick up the last chest in Salvation Pass. The Chest right before the Matthias fight. This might be the same bug that sometimes happens in SV, where you can’t pick up the chest after the Sabetha fight.
