Not only is this post self righteous in it’s own right, it’s incredibly inaccurate. If you’re attempting to climb through plat, doing so is not an easy task. How you’re paired and matched is incredibly important and will impact your possibility on winning.
Case in point, there’s so many games where we land a bronze and a silver on the team while were 1700s. Other team mostly upper 1600s- high 1700s. They have 1 silver.
It’s not matched properly, never has. Your post is caput.
I’m sure I’ll see salt on this, but then again maybe not.
For starters, I’m all for the DUO Q. I don’t mind the system nor the set up. But when will ANET fix the match making? I personally don’t think it’s right to stick a fresh out of KRYTA noob walking into PVP as a bronze to be in a Gold or Plat team. This happens daily and takes out the ‘’ fairness grind ’’ we experienced players deserve.
I’m also not saying ‘’noobs ’’ don’t deserve a fair shot, as we ALL were as some point. But at least make it so there’s a heavier requirement to get into Higher Tier player games..

The damage is simply too high and too hard to avoid given how tanky and mobile they are. I think a reduction of the f1 on greatsword would be suitable. In addition, i think the defy pain trait is too good.
I think most agree with me on this. Mesmer is also a little too strong.
Warrior is OP HAHAHAHA. I’ve seen it all now.
Just as the title says. Worked my tail off to get the endless repair contract. Sold to trader for 750 gold, gives me less then 1 gold. Contacted anet and I get treated terrible. I’ve played this game since GW1 Beta. Invested so much time and money. Seems ridiculous they wont replace it.
See SS
So many pointless dodges. You’re ok.. I guess.
Will make this short and sweet. We have a full 5 Roster. But are in need of players seeking an opportunity with [EviL] who (MAIN) a char.
If you believe your Engi or Ele skills may be a good match with us, then shoot me mail in game.
You MUST be 18 years old or over.
You must be a team player.
Willingness to coordinate proper practice and games.
If you speak German, great, but not a requirement.
If you are from EURO, and would like an opportunity to coordinate your time zone, but do NOT want to switch to N/A, we will provide you with an N/A account if we find you suitable.
P.S.
If you have a GW1 back round, tell me who you’re and what guild you played with. We dearly miss our GW1 community.
Hi Mate,
You have a lot to learn. I smash Mesmers and Necros on my warrior all day long.
Patience in learning when to dodge at the right time, what build to use, specially what build works best for you. Everybody is different.
Feel free to PM me if you would like help aye?
Cheers!
Still need a Mesmer, bump me in game if interested. My mail is usually full, so I’ll get to it eventually.
Will any of the Pride members be returning? Master, Bloodlight, Jang, Soul?
No, the original [EvIL] only played this game for a few months after its release, and they were known as “Azubu Last Pride”. None of the actual EvIL members still play, sadly.
The only team members that came from the original GW1 guild were:
Last of Master
Danjang
Only One Star
Bloodlight
WooNoRi
This is very inaccurate, Carbine. Danjang had thought about creating us again, however did not. We did Beta play and did like the foreplay of the pvp system. If you Gw1’d, then you would also know who SUP and CRY were. We have 5 OG’s, including my self. Any time you’d like to take a walk down memory lane on GW1 we can log on any time.
Cheers mate.
Bump:
Still need an ele/thief, everything else has been filled. Send me mail in game.
Update Necro Has been filled, Gaurdian has been filled, Still looking for:
Ranger
Mesmer
Thief
Ele
Engi
How many of the original EviL players will be joining this venture? I would hazard a guess at none. Look forward to your answer and a potential renaming of this thread and your team for the sake of decency.
Hi Guns, Two will be. And other top players from [SUP]/[CRY] like my self. And if you read the description above, we won’t be ultimately using the EviL tag later on. We’ll be creating a new indefinitely.
Cheers.
This doesn’t really have anything to do with [EviL] except the fact that you are using the name for whatever reason?
Hi Jordan,
We’re using the name because we have two of the sustaining members. We will be creating a new tag at some point in time.
Can you state more clearly if this is for NA or EU plz? Oh and if you are NA feel free to ask if you need any help or a sub. I main engi/guardian respectively and been around the competitive scene for quite a while; so I’m fairly experianced. Plus I enjoy helping those who have the “spark” to become the best in the world. Good luck with the guild/team and hope to meet you in the competitive scene. Cheers ^^
Teszla
Hi Snow,
We will be EU for the most part. As of now, we’ll be sitting in Americas. Due to my self and another being here. I will be back in Germany after Jan. Most of us have two accounts any who. Thanks for the compliment. We’re still putting together the roster, but as with anything, this is going to take time, and a lot of patience. Our process is quit vigorous, and involves weeks of training before a decision can even be made.
We’re in the process of getting a forum site built. For now, I’m accepting Mail through here, or a small spam bite through mail in game.
Feel free to shoot an application over of your specs, what you play, when you started, etc. It’s not complicated. As stated above. It’s to the point. This isn’t science. Don’t care who you play with or who you know. No judgment here.
Cheers mate.
I have no idea about the GW1 scene, but it seems you are quite popular, so nice to have you in GW2! Although I don’t quite understand your post, why would you want PvE gear, if you plan to play sPvP? A lot of the best sPvP players right now did never touch PvE just FYI. Also you seem inexperienced in GW2. I suggest you contact maybe one of your old GW1 friends who played GW2 sPvP for 2 years, if you have someone like that, to get abit more knowledge on how things work here (scene-wise).
Hi Erwin and thanks for the welcome. I’ve been on and off from GW2 since launch. Lurking in the shadows mostly on my own with a couple others.
Unfortunately, if I had to explain the purpose of being decked out and geared, you most definitely weren’t part of the ideals of some of the best players in the game at that time. The morals still stand true.
And as far as your inexperienced comment, I’m not sure if trolling, or just making a bold statement of confusion.
Cheers.
Would you guys have any interest in the GVG setting which has founded in GW2 by the players? While most Guilds run 20v20, there actually are guilds like mine who would enjoy 10v10 too. Just food for thought.
Nonetheless, great to have you guys in GW2, all the best with forming up. Definitely going to be interesting!
Unfortunately, no. This has been the biggest discrepancy between GW1&GW2. Rest assured, this is the biggest reason many players didn’t merge. I’ve been in and seen the most incredible comebacks. Due to the tactical game play of having a guild hall in the mix. It’s what truly defined a GVG.
We’ve heard from a birdie this is potentially coming in the future. So it’s time to get amped up.
Thanks for the support.
Well you all ready have 1 fan : )

I’m sure you were around in the glory days.
Thanks for the support
A brief description to fellow mates of GW2.
As you may or may not know, TLP – [EviL] set the bar in GW1 GVG during 05-06. Mainly of Korean decent, with backup front-liners like my self had the pleasure of GVGing with these elites. I ran a couple of major guilds in GW1. [CRY] Cry for Eternity & Whats going on [SUP], mainly German speaking. If you do not know these guilds, I suggest you do some YT watching and google searching. However, we will not formally run under the EviL tag. I have pulled 4 members from GW1 to spring into GW2. So this is now getting serious.
A little bit about my self. I’m from Germany, but reside in California during the winter. I started in GW1 Beta with a few others. I eventually came to know Red Chamalee. Also known as the first person to reach R15 in GW1. We later branched off and he formed GANK. He never really was the GVG type. I continued strong in Euro for a while and later came to the Americas. I reached R13, deadly gladiator, and Champ 7 during the duration of my GW1 play. I still play and GVG until this day. No, GW1 is not dead. Basically through GW2 I’ve been scrubbing along just playing Soloq/teamq on my own for the most part. It’s hard to find solid active guys, or a guild even worth being in, since you can be in 5.
Furthermore, we wont be running under the EviL tag. Once a solid team of 10-16 is formed. We will create a new tag. I want to bring back the meaning of an elite guild. Now days, the meaning of a guild has dropped. Why care about a guild when you can have 5?
There will be some requirements for consideration.
You must have at least 1000 PVP games played.
You must be Rank 60+
You must be Geared from PVE. Yes this sounds silly, but all aspects of the game devolve skill. There wasn’t a single player I didn’t roll with in GW1 who didn’t sport the best gear.
You must be a team player. Opinions are great. But when it comes time to shut up, listen, and play your part, you do it. Every true elitest will tell you he’s always learning.
You must know your build inside and out. I don’t want anyone saying they can play ‘’ anything ’’
What we’re looking for.
Two Necros, Two Rangers, Two Gaurdians, Two Engis, One Warrior, Two Thiefs, Two Eles, One Mesmer.
This may change.
If we’ve crossed paths in GW1, Shoot me mail and let me know who you were and who you played with. This can change the requirements you may need.
German speakers welcome.
Do not whisper me. Send me mail ONLY. I will whisper you when I’ve read my mail in game.
Cheers to wanting to change and set the bar.

I believe in removing a lot of these extras that don’t depend on player skill at all. In GW1 MM necros quickly became to OP in Random Arena, and Team Arena, they were shortly nerfd. These needs to happen again.
Yep. Another OP build needing a nerf.
The player ability on Sky Hammer is really terrible. Necro’s fearing you off, rangers shooting you off, thieves pulling you to glass, engis pulling you to glass or knocking you. No balance what so ever.
I’m playing the old “delete your ranger and roll warrior” build
Rangers need a buff badly.
You’re joking.. Right? Spirit Rangers have one of the most OP builds to date.
I can totally agree with this. I’m typically not one to whine and moan about any build pvp. I believe in all player build fairness. However, MM’s became a problem in GW1 as well, and were removed from PVP all together.
ANET will eventually figure this out in GW2 as well. They some how think that the players balance is different, and any class would be able to combat them. I’m not saying I don’t kill them, but it’s to say the least difficult, and just plain pointless. I find my self targeting minion after minion.
Phantasm Mesmers are also cheese cookie cutter builds. Virtually involve no skill to play, as I play one when I want easy wins. It’s darn near impossible to target the mesmer, specially as a warrior.
Spirit Rangers just have way to much regen. It’s actually insane how much. Then if in the case they do drop, they get resd by the pet. I can see how this is an excellent balance for PVE, but not for PVP, needs to be nerfd completely.
(edited by OnlyFear.9165)
Well. Unfortunately there must be at least 15 letters before I post.
Other wise it was just going to be,
‘Never’
Class: Warrior
1. MM Necros (Belongs strictly in PVE)
2. Bunker Gaurdians
3. OP Mesmers that think they’re (good)
Why are you getting rid of the finishers? I think that’s stupid. It motivates more then half the players in PVP to PVP. That was one of the biggest motivators in GW1 HOH (Hall of Heroes). I took me a long time to hit Rank 13 to get my Phoenix emote. As I’m working for it again now. Taking this away is stupid.
12 for bird man ^^
Um.. No kidding? I was quoting my GW1 rank in general, and how long it took. Not what rank you receive the phoenix at.
