All of their skins that are available with BL tickets are too expensive unless you get them in their initial release. I haven’t bothered to try to get any scraps in months but a skin that takes 7 tickets when I worked out my rng percentage on scraps from the boxes it would have cost roughly $250.00 for one skin…seriously. I know drop rates have changed since then but come on.
So Anet just to give you another example of how poorly your world boss synchronization was thought out. I live in the Mountain Standard Time time zone. My typical playtime is between 9pm and 11pm MST after I have spent my earlier evening with my children and put them to bed. Before the patch in that 2 hour window I generally would do Jormag once, Shatterer once, Golemn 2-3 times, 1 or two temple events, a couple COF paths, a couple Ascalon Catacombs paths and then call it a night. With your new systems in place during that same time frame I am able to do 0 Jormag, 0 Shatterer, 0 Golemn, and I won’t be able to tell if COF is open or not anywhere to get a quick run in there…. so you have reduced the available amount of game I usually participated in to 3/10 of what it was pre patch. FYI if that is the amount of game available to me then I will be spending 3/10 the amount of time I used to in game. If I am spending that much time less in game then there is that much less incentive for me to spend any money on gem purchases. Now I am no marketing or financial expert but what I do know is the general goal of products and services is to find a way to get the consumer to spend more time involved with the product so that they are more likely to make future purchases involved with this product. Your Megaserver changes will not fulfill this goal in their current state. Good Luck.
For me most of my Dragonite has come from the Golemn world boss. It is on a redicuously short timer ( 1/2hr-45mins or something) and those with alts can bring a new character each time for more dragonite. It is actually better to only have 3 or 4 people at the event as it scales down really well and goes so much faster. Last kill I was at there were four of us and we downed him in 2 1/2 minutes. As opposed to 10-12 minutes when there are around 30 people at it.
Pets shouts / screeches / roars / etc. are fine with their limited radius for applying to my allies but they should apply their buff to me no matter what range my pet is at. I enjoy playing longbow regardless if it is not the best ranger weapon atm but get annoyed every time my pet is in dpsing and I can no longer benefit from their buffs.
Not only has the price per scrap almost hit 3s now. ( It was actually at 2.94 for a while) The demand of buy orders was 10 times greater than that of available supply. How can any reasonable person still think that there is a proper amount of silk entering the market with the current means of acquiring it??
That’s 20g off the TP buy orders, or you could have just saved up the Silk as you’ve gotten it during normal play.
I have played my normal play pretty much every day since GW2 was released and I still had to buy stacks of silk to make the Damask for my leather set i am building first. I haven’t even thought about starting my light set yet…If you managed to gather 43 stacks during your normal play I recommend stepping away from the computer more often. That much play time is not healthy for anyone.
I am pretty sure the OP is not talking about being able to discover the recipes. He is talking about once he has created or purchased certain components the discovery window will not let him use that component to create further items that require it. I have not checked in months but for the longest time i couldn’t use carrots in the cooking discovery window. A basic item that is need in many basic cooking recipees which are then also needed in higher up items and so on. I was just interested in learning all possible recipes for completion of the craft but the game wouldn’t let me use those god kitten carrots lol. Four seperate bug reports to ANet over a period of a couple months accomplished nothing so i just gave up on it.
The cost of ascended stuff is quite ok, as it is, the kitten grind to reach skill 500 is not. How and where nodes of ore and wood spawn has never been an issue before, telling us, it is no issue now as well. But the cost of leveling is…
My being a reasonably casual player i hadn’t tried upgrading mats in the Mystic Forge before. Last weekend i though I would give it a shot by buying 2-3 stacks of each type of T5 mat from the TP…..45 gold spent on T5 mats netted me aproximately 600 T6 mats…more than enough to craft all the exotics i need to max all 3 of the weaponcrafting skills.
Yes Clockheart resetting properly does need addressed. I was in a run last night where every reset had him start with the 30 full stacks. A couple of times this wiped 3/5 of the group shortly after the pull…what a waste of time. The teleport / camera angle flip on the the holo-generators is definately a problem as well. Especially if you are trying to get out of the way for spinning gears that landed near one.
I agree. Spent two hours in there and we wiped several times but had the most fun in a dungeon in a long time. Them mechanics of this path are awsome.
Unfortunately too many people have no sense of putting effort into something. If it doesn’t work the first time they just give up. My pug stuck with it and through several attempts we figured it out on our own…of course we never wiped. We just kept trying different ideas and got it and we were communicating with each other the whole time. If you won’t put any effort in and can’t communicate you deserve nothing in return. All those people that are jumping groups after just a couple attempts on brand new content need to get their own kitten together.
There is definately some content that dies easier using the lame zerker gear dps race however we just did the entire instance with 1 ranger, 2 guardians, 1 thief, and a level 76 warrior. The only fight that seems to have a built in timer is the last boss with the electrified floors… the rest if done properly don’t need all out dps to down them in a certain amount of time.
I am wondering if my groups experience is a result of this bug as well or not. On our fourth attempt on Clockheart we were doing quite well. We had alot of deaths and several times two people only were alive. One kiting the other ressing downed players. We got him to about 5% health left and were again down to 1 kiter 1 rezzer when the boss went to the middle of the room and just regenerated all of his health back to full…
OMG can’t beat world boss first try…it must be too hard. I hope all servers wipe on the new Tequatl for a week before we all figure out how to coordinate what is required. No more spamming 1 skill while i pay attention to something else other than the game. Thank you!
Why are you assuming this was not part of what they wanted? If you want to “buy” a Level 80, maybe it SHOULD be expensive.
I think any Dev would be the first to admit that being able to buy a LVL 80 that never left it’s home city was NOT the intended use of crafting. I don’t recall anything in the manifesto that ever guaranteed you could buy your way to LVL 80 without ever picking up a weapon. The fact that so many here THINK that is a legit way to level up is pathetic.
I couldn’t have said it any better myself.
Farm Gold Buy Mats…same old mindless follow the herd mentality. If you read my initial post completely you would have read i am interested in a way to gather and harvest mats regardless if it can be done by just spending gold. Heaven forbid we have options in how we want to play even if it takes 13.876534% more effort than joining the zerg train and endlessly farming gold. It would be 1000000% more fun for some of us to do the gathering ourselves.
I would be fine if wool must come from sheep, silk from worms, gossamer from spiders, and jute, linen, cotton are the harvestable nodes. But we still need a way to get leather from animal hides. If that is just through drop rates instead of skinning then fine but a skinning knife would be fun too.
Oops missed that line in Phaneo’s post. Thanks.
I blew threw a fair bit of leather just to make the bow string for my ascended Long Bow. This got me thinking about the nightmare it would be to make a full set of leather or cloth Ascended armor with only being able to break down items to get the mats. Armorsmithing can harvest nodes. I think it would only make sense that Tailoring have harvestable nodes as well.
My suggestions are make wool, silk, gossamer nodes that are harvestable with the current sickles placed with the same spawn rates as the relative level of metals. I would also like to see the introduction of skinning knives as a harvesting tool so we can skin beasts. You can even make an infinite skinning knife with an earth elemental graphic to complete the set of elements for the harvesting tools.
Please consider these suggestions for your typical casual players. With the current way of obtaining cloth and leather it will take an average player half a year at best to make a full set of armor if you are like me and can’t stand joining farming trains for hours on end to just buy the mats.
I have the same problem with the Celestial Orichalcum Imbued Inscription. I just need to make one more Exotic to hit 500 huntsman and i have made one of these but it won’t let me use it to craft a weapon. I have not discovered any of the Celestial recipes yet. I sent a bug report in game this morning regarding this.
It is sad that Anet is killing there own game with the RNG. I am also never spending another dime on this game. So far this game has cost me more than a monthly sub game would have due to liking to have bag space for my alts and the like. I know its not neccesary but i am sick of getting nickle and dimed for basic stuff. And come on “skins” provide no in game advantage so wtf should the be made so impossible to get….
