As I posted in the other forums as well my main is zerker thief and I love the profession and actually think it needs to be buffed in the current meta. I believe you are just a crappy player who is entirely reliant on overpowered specs such as this in order to be successful and do not want your build nerfed. I do not even have a warrior ( I think they need to be nerfed to hell too) It is just the dire condi meta with perplex I am tired of.

I DO NOT want thief to be nerfed I actually think zerker thief is a little under powered in the current meta. My main has always been thief and it is the class I most enjoy playing. What I want nerfed is everything this particular build represents. Perplex runes and dire armor and so OP it is insane and they are slowly killing most other builds.

I was not exaggerating at all this was an exact recount of what happened I should not be able to fight and win 3v1 against three decent players with a build I have played for under an hour.

The funny thing is that a p/d thief can’t apply 8 stacks of confusion since they don’t have an interrupt. You’d have to take offhand pistol for that, which is what the old thief perplexity specs did.

Unless of course he’s saying he took scorpion wire or tripwire, but I find that doubtful.

In any case, 11 stacks of bleed and 4 stacks of torment sounds a bit low for a cookie-cutter p/d thief anyways.

EDIT: Just realized you can probably just use basilisk venom for the interrupt. Don’t know why I didn’t think of that.

Yeah my only interrupt was the daze on steal and i guess basilisk venom ( I did not know you could even interrupt with that). My utilities were too important to abuse stealth so I could not waste one on scorpion wire.

The 11 stacks of bleed, 4 stacks of torment and 8 stacks of confusion were from like a 3 second burst. If the fight had gone longer I could have easily stacked these numbers higher.

So today, since this game has gotten boring and I’m pretty much just waiting for ESO to release, I did the thing I said I would never do. I changed my full glass thief into p/d dire perplex. I have always hated this spec since I believed it was extremely easy to play and required very little skill to kill people with. But, since I was bored I figured what the hell and spent 60 gold re-gearing into full dire with perplexity runes.

After full gearing up and re-traiting I went into eternal to do some roaming. My stats with full stacks are 2k toughness, 21k hp, 2100 condi dmg and since I am condi bunker no other stats really matter. My first solo fight was against a d/p zerk thief who appeared to be competent. I had been playing this spec for about 15 mins by the time this fight started and basically rolled my face along the keyboard and before I knew what happened the D/P thief was dead.

My next fight was a 3v1 vs a thief a warrior and a guardian. I targeted the thief first and pretty much ignored the guard and war since they did no dmg to my full tank spec even though the warrior had 25 stacks of bloodlust. I did not even have to dodge their attacks they were just irrelevant. With shadows rejuvenation and my high stealth uptime their dmg was negligible. After stomping the thief killing the other two was simply a matter of time since they would never be able to do anything to me.

My last outnumbered fight of the night was against two d/p thieves. As soon as they saw me one of the thieves refuged and instead of stealthing or trying to predict their movements as I would have to on my zerk thief I just decided to try to stand still and take their backstabs. They each hit me for about 4-5k each taking me to a little more than half life, and as soon as they were revealed I almost instantly condi bursted down one of the thieves. In a matter of seconds he had 11 stacks of bleeding 8 stacks of confusion and 4 stacks of torment. (he died trying to heal himself and taking 2k dmg from a confusion tick. The other thief tried to refuge his friend but I continued to faceroll the keyboard inside of it and soon got one loot bag. Instead of running as I expected him to do the other thief attempted to fight me and soon met with the same fate as his buddy.

So basically this spec is overpowered as all hell. I currently think it is not close the best 1v1 or 1vX spec in the game right now with almost no equal. I can do almost as much burst dmg as my zerk thief but with insane amounts of sustain and survivability. I had been playing this spec for less than 30 mins and was able to demolish these people who seemed to be somewhat not terrible in 1vx fights. This post not only applies to perplex thief but pretty much all condi bunker classes as they are all ridiculously overpowered. PLEASE nerf this spec. It was boring as hell to play and took almost no skill or thought in order to be successful.

I don’t know if there is an official p/d perplex build so I just made mine up. I put 10 in the power line for poison on steal and the healing from mug. 30 into shadow arts for the condi cure, blind and health regen and 30 into trickery for the condi dmg and the interupt on steal. Weps and armor are full dire.

OMG, whine whine. Zerker needs an adjustment. This one could be good or could be bad, but I think it’s a decent idea.

This isn’t a nerf to Thieves anyway, it’s a nerf to everyone in an attempt to bring better balance to PvE at large.

Do u even play thief in wvw? This is a nerf to crit and a buff to condi’s. Thiefs are affected more than any other class by a nerf to crit sides maybe shatter mesmer because of how squishy we are we rely on our burst to live. Now they are nerfing this burst w/o an equivalent nerf to condi’s or toughness.

Yup this is the final straw for me im out. Thief play in wvw was my favorite thing left to do in this game and condi thief is boring as hell. i spent a ton of time and money getting my max crit dmg and now they are nerfing it by 10% and making condi’s better. GG anet im out thanks for nerfing the one thing about this game in enjoyed

When one looks at the healing signet itself it seems sort of fine. The problem is warriors get massive sustain without any investments. All you need is HS and 20 into defense and you are a sustain god. No healing gear/runes needed! This is the problem!

This is a false sense of sturdiness and a blatant example of internal imbalance. HS outshines both other heals, which would be pretty amazing on any other class themselves. Hell they are amazing for the warrior, but HS is just better.

Conclusion: HS needs a nerf, not a major one. Perhaps drop it to 300-350 hps then go from there. But the problem, as I have said, is a composite one: HS+AH+Ire with only 20 traits into defense!!!!

This. The problem with Healing Signet is how it fits into the warrior. Do all of the Warriors whining about being bursted and condi bombed down not use zerkers stance or endure pain? These skills along with stuns and blocks make HS so OP because it gives the warrior plenty of time to heal while still outputting massive aoe dmg. Also the entire Warrior defense line needs to be changed. Has anyone ever actually looked at this line? When I first saw it I thought it had to be a joke. The minors on this line are better than most other classes major traits. The 25 is what allows warriors to be so defensive and offensive at the same time. It literality rewards the warrior with attack by traiting to be more defensive. Other classes have 5-7% bonuses as major trait options and the warrior gets 10% as a minor. The Majors in this line are equally broken. This is not close the best trait line in the game and every single warrior uses it.

Hope that made you feel better about losing to us in the open field for the rest of the week. But that’s the past. Hope to see DDLG still running.

Bags was part of DDLG at the time but the guild split. All I remember about core is them QQing non-stop after getting roflstomped in that gvg. Also they might be the worst organized guild group ever. They have no redeeming qualities at all and all their members are atrocious. If u guys ever wanna gvg bags and give us free loots we are always willing. If i was in core id probably have quit this game out of shame a long time ago. How can you play for so long and still be so amazingly bad? #Terribads

Its only because we fought against IOJ. Also, kitten IOJ it consists entirely of terrible players and guilds. They are all horrendous and should feel ashamed for the quality of fights they bring to this match up.

I went to a server while it was free to go back and forth once every seven days and got stuck their when it was changed to gems. Now I am on a server that is suboptimal and makes my gameplay experience less enjoyable. Their should be some way to be able to switch servers again without using gems.
