another good example how the current matchmaking system cant keep up. I know, last batch of transfers, check back in a month when the Eu ladder finnaly fixes itself….
HHummmm….. We (Vz) reset 2/3 T2 Deso’s tower… Thanks for telling the truth bro’
We don’t need SFR to keep OUR place.
Nice fight last night
Learn to read, i wrote all night, didnt point out your dawn raid, and you think those towers wouldve been t2 if “someone” doesnt keep cutting our supply lines? Or keeping us busy at anza? Doubleteaming is part of the game, and i have no issue with it. But any sfr player claiming they want viz out of t1 after tonight is a hypocrit.
This reset was pretty fun.
After playing through the night, Id like to congratulate SFR for their everlasting sportsmanship and and thank for all the effort they are putting in to keep Vizunah in T1, particularly the EB group, that keeps resting deso towers making it easier for Vizu to cap. Keep up the good work!
Thats not the only interesting thief on that server. This guy was at the deso safezone.
Well its not like he flipped towers, but as far as i know, that shouldnt be possible.
just wandering:
do you think there ever will be a time when all these serverhopper guilds realise that its not the server they are on thats the problem, its them?
Besides, like they care what servertag they fight under…. its not about building and working with others, its all about them….
well, pretty much can say the same thing as for their vabbi partners:
@Blacktide: thats what you can expect from them on the long run. Anybody assisting them deserves whats coming to them, after all they sign up for it
Dear Demannu …. reborn like a phoenix^^ thx, you made my day
A) Xaox just transfered more ppl to vabbi, than they had alltogether – ruining their current matchup and the several folloving one for them and all the servers around them, as the current scoring system cant keep up with the players moving around.
B)vabbi will be rolfstomping everyone for weeks, while the server you transfered from will get stomped all over. Way to show everyone what to expect from you on the long run
C) by your behaviour, your not into building anything, or looking for any kind of challenge, youre moving around for the easy win, as the system allows it. Like getting pro in a game and than starting new accounts just so you can beat up the noobs. You can ofc …. Well everyone assisting you in it will deserve whats coming to them anyways, so … Best of luck with your project Vabbi!
Ps. you really think its ok always moving on to a new server hoping that guesting will get implemented while your on the top? And totally ignoring what happens to the server you left….
Voo,while i respect your opinion, heres what your missing:
Allow me to name you a server that based their www around large guilds: Far Shiverpeaks. Being explayer yourself i dont have to tell you what happened to it after the www attendance dropped below a certain level. Blacktide is just like it, building entirely on recruited guilds. But those guilds wont stick and fight, and why should they: Blacktide is built on the mentality thats its ok to to transfer if things get bad.
Deso on the other hand doesnt have any really large national guilds or group, the largest guild iron is international. Basicly its an absolutely english speaking pug server. I can name you another pug server on the eu ladder: Vizunah Square. And now with SFR which also has a tonn of italians and has a really low pve population and Blacktide which is polish/russian in the arena, Deso is a much more desirable transfer loacation, due to the fact the its absolutley english speaking, and has a huge pve population, making it comfortable for any pvx player, + has a low probablity of any particularly large groups leaving being pug server, making it fairly stable.
Sooo:
1: The current Deso might be only t2 ready, but its way more stable than the current Blactide, even if thats not what you wanna hear.
2: Deso might have been back to t1 with ruin, but ruin is on blacktide now, and last time i checked the score they dont seem to help you that much. Its wasnt the core ruin group that was strong, its all the players they recruited from deso that gave them numbers. And most of those ppl didnt go with them. Plus seriously, who the hell talks trash about one of their own guilds even if they dont like them. You cant expect ppl to flame one of the guilds on their server.
3: based on the fact that last weeks elona is t1 material, Blacktide is missing about 2/3rd of its www population. If it was like the quarter of that id say yeah, sure they are preparing holiday. But you honestly think with a rational mind that that many players will jump back in the game actively playing every day to keep the server up after skipping playing for weeks now?
4: guilds like PRX, RUIN, KAZ, and the rest you listed plus the ones you forgot but do this: They are not making a difference, they are making the eu ladder unstable, shifting the population around randomly. The reason Vizunah is still in T1 is because its stable, and the reason Blacktide is falling like a stone is because you built on transfer guilds. To make a difference you need a population that wont transfer and is sustainable on the long term. It doesnt matter if someone gets to t1 if it requires more effort that what they can keep up. And project Blacktide seems ot be failing bigtime at that.
Hi all,
For me and a lot of other people too, WWW turned out to be endgame, meaning we spend most our playing there. Now anyone playing regularly can tell that the current system has some issues, that diminishes the players interest to even log in.
Now i had an idea id like to ask your opinion on. The current scoring system is based on owned territory, resulting in great unbalances between the servers, because whoever has the most offpeak hour coverage wins. So roughly larger population = win, resulting in the evil nightcappers threads.
now my idea is: instead of basing the server points on owned territory, base it on activity. Its easy to measure: every time someone caps or defeds a tower/keep whatever, they get personal xp/karma in the form of an event. so instead of giving points for an owned keep, let the players generate xp for their server through these events, aka give the servers some points every times someone completes an event.
In my view this would solve the following issues:
- nightcapping point gaps – one side can own the whole map, if they are unchallenged, they are not getting any points. theyll only get points when they have someone to fight. Most point will be generated primetime, since thats where is the most activity.
- promotes activity: currently the loosing servers after a while give up, and go do some pve rather. theres no incentive to keep them playing: after a few hours of peaktime, theyl loose everything anyways so who cares. with this system closing the pointgap, all servers could have better fights, even against servers with higher population. Points will be generated where the action is, even if thats just one map the loosing side can man.
-server transfers: people tend to transfer to the wining side. currently thats the side with the most offpeak hour coverage. with this system theres no point creating megaservers with 24h coverage and hour long ques, the population wouldnt get anything out of being on one. People could get a decent fight in any tier.
- server rankings: server wouls still generate points: the more active a server is, the more points. of course servers with higher day/nightime coverage would have more activity all around the clock, so serverranking could settle, and even if some merceneray army decides to move in to unbalance it: if the other servers decide not to fight them, they wont get anything out of it, theyyl just waste a week in a dead www match. their server won be able to get point either, causing it to drop, not advance in rankings.
- doesnt punish higher pop servers: there have been a lot of suggestion to limit a map populations to the lower servers level, or to take map population into account. With this scoring system, anyone playing any time of the day would generate the same amount of points to their server being active.
thats my theory anyways, any thoughts on it?
