Most of the players I know think it is an interesting spec which isn’t even good.

I assume you did not watch ESL a few days ago because they are dominate in competitive play which always trickles down to casual play. I play everything but warrior and guardia. This includes a lot of mesmer and even I agree that they are pretty absurd. Their ability to hold points for 30+ seconds against 2-3 people is simply too strong in this meta. It isnt solely an issue with the class itself but rather overarching problems with pvp at the moment that are shown most clearly through bunker mesmers.

Most people did notice and most people understand that it was because of the perma stealth doorbreaker exploit

Does anyone else feel like the game has slowed down? The meta in general has just been a complete disappointment and has really ruined the hype for leagues for me.

Just about the only non tanky build which sees play is Meditrapper DH which is probably the most mindnumbing and unexciting build you could possibly play with everything else being the exact same tanky dps in different flavors. Im only in tier 3 Sapphire and people regularly flame warriors and thieves for the simple crime of daring to queue for ranked pvp as a non meta class while im all but forced into 1 build while playing as my ele or mes (auramancer support and bunker respectively).

It seems to be very reminiscent of the GW1 GvG meta with the dreaded 20+minute meta which marked the decline of GW1 pvp where teams would both run hyper defensive compositions and slowly whittle away at each other and very often not score a single kill until 15-20 minutes. This also ended with very snowbally and one sided victories and left very little room for comebacks which is also a very apt description for my experience with the meta we have today. And before people go and write this thread off as someone being salty over a few losses please know that this is not the case. I have a pretty fantastic winrate (>60%), but find it increasingly hard to find satisfaction in my wins and increasingly hard to not be frustrated over losses which feel completely hopeless 90% of the time.

The story line Strange Observations , Avoid the Traps I can not get the achievement no matter what I do… Anyone else have this?

This happened to me as well. You can get it by actually triggering BOTH traps and then running past the enemies that are spawned. Kill the wolves quickly to open up the way to Taimi and after you reach the room you will be granted the achievement despite not having the Qualify buff.

Reward from Heart and Minds does not contain what the tooltip says it does.

“Victor’s Cache” contains 15 Crystalline Ore instead of the advertised Vision Crystal

I suppose this could be a typo rather than a bug but that seems like a rather measly reward for the final mission of the entire expansion!

I have found numerous bugs with the final mission in the Heart of Thorns story that has made completing it impossible. I have attempted it around 15 times now and every single failure has been due to either blatant bugs or clipping issues with models.

In maybe 1/3rd my attempts the illusions before the actual main boss fight would continue to attack when hitting 0 which made using the rift to proceed with the boss fight impossible. This was fixed by dying and retrying from checkpoint 2 or 3 times.

In a couple of tries the swirling pool that the main boss used would not disappear making the fight overly difficult and eventually downright impossible as more had spawned.

Rifts to kill illusions have also spawned outside the map on a couple of occasions making progression impossible.

The wind gusts during the ground pulse have failed to throw me up in the air 2 or 3 times now. sometimes altogether and sometimes when im already in the air but need another boost.

On two different occasions I have taken damage and been knocked out of the air despite no rocks being thrown at me. On other occasions ive been able to fly through the rocks that have been thrown and have taken no damage.

And finally the boss will sometimes just cease to do anything and become invincible at the intervals which illusions should spawn and nothing will happen causing progression to be impossible.
