Have to agree with everyone that answered.

On my current setup (i5 3470 3.20GHz,8Gb Ram 1600 and R9 380) my gameplay is laggy and I hav micro shuttering when turning the camera. I tried everything before thinking of upgrading and nothing changed. Even deactivating Reflexions and Shadows and the gameplay still feels laggish (and no it’s not becasue of my internet connection – Gibit connection).

So what upgrade would you recommend from an i5 3470? Specifically for GW2.

What about the new Skylake? Isn’t that a pretty good investment at this time?

I never used MAX settings and I never will (at least on the current config).
I’m also trying to figure out if my next upgrade should be a new Processor or a new Video Card (GTX).

I believe so … not even sure I can submit a bug regarding this
I am very curios if other users with close configurations like mine are experiencing the same issue.

Update : Changed the RAM to some HyperX, same situation. Overwolf reports fps up to 100+ but I still have that slowness in gameplay. Disabled Shadows and Reflexions but it did not help much. I’m hoping to get a GTX to test on my current rig, not sure if it will help but …

I’ll give it a try tonight. I would be happier finding a solution instead of making an upgrade.
Would ParkControl be ok to use?

Anyone got other suggestions?

So this means what? … that actually the game is badly optimized? …
People with specs lower then mine are getting better results so … there is a problem but where?
I’ll see about that W10 upgrade thought I am not that happy about it (just a personal opinion).

Intel Core i5 3470 @ 3.20GHz
Cooler:
Deepcool Gammaxx 300
Mainboard:
ASRock Z68 Pro3 Gen3 (CPUSocket)
Memory:
Geil 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 1333MHz (9-9-9-24)
Storage:
SSD 120 Samsung Evo
Graphics Card:
4096MB ATI AMD Radeon R9 380 Series (MSI)
Display:
BenQ G2222HDL + BenQ GW2265 DVI

So I have the above configuration, and I was really hoping that my GW2 game-play will boost, hopefully being able to run the game on MAX settings, or at least having the smoothness that Woodenpatatoes is having in his videos.

Running on Win 8.1 Pro, got the latest Driver for my MSI and still nothing helps. Running with most settings on High or Ultra brings the game down to about 30 fps in LA. I am not really complaining (although I am) about the FPS as I am for the smoothness of the Gameplay. If I were to turn the camera the game is actually cluttering “mini-hangings”. I don’t really know what to do … is because of my videocard? Shout I have gotten a GTX or maybe my RAM? Because on the main website the GeiL I am using are not shown as being actually supported? …

ANY kind of advice would be most apreciate.
Thank you in advance.

It is not an Optimum isuue (whatever that is – guessing an ISP?).

Also in Romania the issue just appeared 1h ago.

The the issue that we cannot connect after 18.30 European time was not enough, now we get this problem. Guys seriously, what the heck are you doing over there? …. It’s not like you have too many users right?

Help us to help you.

Seriously guys! Almost 2 weeks have passed since the problem was first reported and still no news? It’s really frustrating to get home after a hard days work and not being able to connect to the server to play.

Can we get some official reply on this please?

How hard can it be to see what happens to your servers around 18.30 European time? I can play with no issue around that time but at 18.30 (like clockwork) everything goes to pieces.

Today the same issue.

I was IN game and around 6.30-6.40 PM EET the game started to massively lag, in then it disconnected me and at the next try I got the same error as yesterday.

So, could someone at ArenaNet try to find out what happens at that hour please? Is there an automatically back up occurring or maybe something happens with your internet connection? Switches to another ISP? Router?

Please help us.

Until today only around 8.00 PM I was starting to have MASSIVE lag and get a lot of disconnects with the occasional “error connecting to login server”.
Today my launcher is DEAD! Can’t connect at all.

Please fix it! I need my daily dosage !!!
