I was in cursed shores and listening to Captain Rotbeard go “Treasure…devour” every other minute. It was incredibly annoying. I eventually turned my sound off altogether.

The guy guarding the CoE entrance also does this.

Just make the npcs shut the hell up already.

absurd respawn rates

Just killing a regular mob next ton an ore node out in the field. Before I could even hit f, it respawned. So much nonsense like that in the game. It’s tiresome.

are the respawn rates intentional?

I only get that in Orr really. Nowhere else is it as thick with fast respawning mobs. Usually its manageable, but I recall one POI I was trying to reach up a hill, and there were no less than three veterans along the path, …

I ran into he same problem. Go at it from the other direction, drop down from the temple above instead of fighting up the path.

Agree with the OP’s point. Things respawn too fast. More than once I’ve had things respawn immediately after being killed.

Crafting in Guild Wars 2: Best in the MMO market

I’d put GW2 crafting in the upper-middle someplace. It’s not completely awful for one of the click button and watch progress bar variety. Not very involving though. At least they learned enough from previous games to make the bar move fast.

I liked EQ2’s better. You had the mini-game to play, it made things more interesting. Also, I could sell my spell scrolls for a profit. I only played a little bit of Free Realms, but they had cooking which actually involved cooking. Putting things in the pan, turning them, etc.

Can't fight bad guys because of wild animals roaming around

The yellow animals are definitely a nuisance. Especially when you’re using an attack that bounces, like ele/staff/air autoattacks. You don’t control the bounces and they bounce kinda far. You can always switch attunements but it would be nice if they didn’t bounce to neutrals.

I’ve gotten them as rewards as well. My perception was that they were worse than regular tools. I’d swap between them and get more rares (gems, etc) using the regular. Clearly not scientific or statistically rigorous testing, just my observations.

Anyone else slightly disappointed with high-level female armor choices?

I’m only familiar with the light armor choices for my sylvari and I’ve found them a bit disappointing as well. They show some cleavage and there’s a couple skirts open in the front to show off the panties but nothing that shows off the butt. It’s all long skirts in the back. Since you spend 99% of your time looking at your character from behind they could’ve at least put some clothes that show off the butt.

For the love of all that is good in the land, plz shut up vendors!

D) All of the above.

Also, working at the artificer station in divinty’s the ambient laughter is just unbearable.

A nice button I could push so that I don’t hear npcs would be just great.

Source of Orr: What were you guys thinking?

Hated everything about this fight. Boss that teleports away once you get in to melee range, then have to dodge through boss fight nonsense to take a whack or two before it teleports again. I eventually found a spot where it didn’t attack me, stayed put and I could range it death. Just a time-wasting nuisance the whole way around.

Those bullets should not travel along the ground as they go under the water and you can’t see them. Since it teleports and starts shooting right away, that first volley gets to you before you can get outta the water. A fixed elevation above the water would be better.

Same for the sword pop-up things. You can’t see the red circle under the water.

I like the look of the zones. They did a good good job on the “ruins that have been raised from the sea” bit.

It’s just that the mob density makes it an absolutely tedious chore to move across the zone. Having to kill one of the same handful of trash mobs every ten steps just wears me down.

So, I’m a light armor wearer and the outfits have plenty of cleavage and skirts open in the front but nothing that shows off the butt. You spend 99% of your time looking at your character’s rear, so let us show it off.

In one of the story missions you team up with a blue underwater lady and she had a sexy one piece swimsuit. Reminded me of my EQ days and how the dark elves provided plenty of bare blue butts.

How about something loincloth style that shows off the hips. Your current art style doesn’t shy away from the sexy, so give us something we can see outside of cutscenes.

Orr is just a chore. High mob density, large agro range (esp acolytes), fast respawn and it makes traveling across the zone like fighting through a dungeon and it’s just tedious.

Weapon sets. Do they really give you a choice?

My mesmer uses sword/pistol and staff. Very rarely do I switch to scepter, focus, torch or offhand sword. Not all weapons have as useful abilities as others. And even if a weapon has situationally good abilities, it’s generally easier to use your regular set than open up the inventory and switch out.

Difficulty vs. level while doing our personal stories

My mesmer has been going the sylvari-priory-skritt line and there has been plenty of raging at the unbalanced missions and useless npcs.

Fights in tiny rooms against big heavy hitting abominations. Having to fight a lich boss with a weapon you just got a second ago.

Having to fight huge waves of destroyer crabs and harpies just to have the queen pop up in the middle of it. Quest text says to ‘stun next to the bomb’. Of course by stun they don’t mean the condition, they just mean defeat it. Died a couple times trying to stun it in various places on the map.

Trying to use thatkittensonic artillery against the mole people. Unequipped my armor and just let myself get killed a bunch of times learning it’s rate of fire and projectile travel time so I could finish the mission.

The mission after mission where waves of 4-5 mobs come after you and only you ignoring the npcs.

Mission after mission where you have to guess is this the endlessly spawning waves of enemies or am I supposed to fight them?

I’m at the level 75ish missions right now and only moving forward due to stubbornness and completionism, cause the missions suck.
