What if it’s 500:500 tie? Do both teams earn a pip? Does it count as win streak?
If it’s a win for both teams, then people can still farm to the legend…
For those who don’t know how to farm in ranked pvp, here it goes:
1) find 10 players and split them into two premade-5 teams
2) coordinate in TS, start to queue at the same time
3) you will have a very good chance to be matched together, especially when there are few premade teams queueing
4) control the points to make both teams reach 500 at the same time, it’s not hard to do so
5) do (2) – (4) over and over again
I know it’s not fun, but still a lot of people were doing it in season one. At least in the Chinese server it worked well, because
- PVP population is small there
- premade teams are few
i’m worried about the queue time…
if players can only be matched with players at the same division.
Well, in the chinese server, it’s normal to have only 20 people queue at the same time in rush hour. Yes we are loosing tons of players and no wonder why we always get 4th in WTS.
So what if 7 of them are in division 1, 7 of them are in division 2, 6 of them are in division 3… then nobody will get a match! they will be in queue forever…

Many players quit WVW because of this, and even quit the game.
Kongzhong and anet is doing nothing on it.
It’s said that hacking GW2 is not that hard, because anet didn’t wrap the client well or something like that.
I am much more interested in Stronghold than Conquest, and I don’t want to have to dodge queues in order to play it exclusively.

I agree.. especially for guild teams. They get together, well-prepared, but never get a chance to play stronghold… LOL
Anet should think about how the stronghold LB works. Same queue doesn’t make sense to me at all.
I don’t understand how the same queue would work when we have two leaderboards, one for conquest and one for guild stronghold. There should be a matchmaking algorithm solely for stronghold.
How about a guild team who wanted to play stronghold and climbed on stronghold leaderboard, have their builds ready, but ending up picking conquest maps for the whole night, is that fun?
Those people do not work, and do not go to school. They are either young kids/ college kids on school holiday break, or they are jobless hobo’s. If they want to sit around and PvP for 9 hours a day, so be it. Why care?

I’m happy as a clam and I wouldn’t rather be doing anything else. I feel lucky to be able to say I’m trying to make this game my job.
It’s also worth it to note that I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t go to China and have the best trip of my life.
Glad to know you had a great time in China. Did you visit other cities except Beijing? What makes you feel it’s the best trip? I mean, except that you got the championship

Killing Svanir and Chieftain at the start is the right call only very seldom, and even then it heavily depends on the enemy team’s composition. If the enemy team has highly mobile classes that can spike, such as (competent) thieves, the risk of a steal is very great.
In evenly-matched teamQ Forest games the mobs are often left alone completely. In soloQ however you can pull bosses with more security, given that people don’t coordinate and next to nobody realizes that 90% of the game is actually played on the mini map.

All I got from the pictures is that apparently Backpack stands outside the enemy spawn and taunts players looking for a challenge… or something.
That and his team was pretty spread out.

We have been waiting for the ladder for soooo long…hopefully the new system can attract more Chinese players to play pvp.

more maps, bigger maps, let’s do 10vs10 or 15vs15 !
keep it, it’s fun. the map is kinda small to me first time I played in it. looking forward to having bigger and open maps to do 10v10 or 15vs15
