My computer is definitely not a problem, I hand build this with a 3930k, Rampage IV Extreme Mobo, 32GB of Corsair Vengeance, 680 SLI.

I think I just reproduced the crash in Queensdale, I ran toward the town with the crafter in Queensdale and before I got close, it crashed my newb char, now it wont load either.

Anything special about that specific level 80? Like 100% completion, or halloween title?

So Hoelbrak is broken and we have people with characters crashing instantly on load. What a patch we have today.

Okay guys, question about your crashes. Is it only happening on your level 80 characters? The other thread stated that only their level 80 characters are crashing like this.

We’re all having the same problem. I have notice something in common though, it’s happening with our level 80 character. Lets see if we can pinpoint the issue.
My level 80 is a Asura with 100% completion wearing the Emissary of the Mad King title, crashed in Queensdale.

Still having this problem myself, ever since this update. I just created a new character and works just fine. So I believe it is a character related issue. I think the character might be glitched or something, so if a GM or someone could move it to a different map or somewhere else on the map, it might fix it.

Happening every time I try to log in now. They screwed something up bad.

Only happening to my character in Queensdale. I just made a new character and that one works fine.

The game is wacky with extra mouse buttons, it works flawless if your mouse have it’s own software to bind extra keys though.

Maybe you could consider to stop being anti-social and have some friends. Just a thought.

Is your desktop connected through wire and your laptop wireless? Make sure your router isnt blocking the ports required, and check if your desktop have any anti-virus programs blocking it too.

The CPU is OKAY with a low-end GPU. Dont expect maxed setting 60+ FPS, you could probably do with medium with playable FPS.

That’s not how it works.

It’s all about catering to the majority these days, and you know full well that Oceanic are usually not the majority simply because of the major time difference between EU and Asia which splits you into two different groups in the already small group.

They’re not favoring a specific country of players, they are simply choosing the time where they have peak amount of players. How is it their fault that it just happens that at 12PM PST that they have the most players on? I bet if the Oceanic players had more player on at any time they would had picked that time instead.

Problem 1: AMD CPU.
What resolution and graphic settings are you playing at? That makes a huge difference.

You need a better CPU. Overclock that instead of your GPU.

System requirements are set as Min>Slide show and Rec req>30 FPS. You have a low/mid end PC and you expect to play Ultra on 60+FPS? Yeah ok.

Asura Ranger, done it within the first hour or two of release.

Check your mail and make sure you dont have 10 mails already.

Agreed, the puzzle was definitely challenging until you figured out where every to jump.

Not the Scaling Tab, you have to go to the Size tab and manually drag the size.

It’s not an issue with the monitor. It’s an issue with Nvidia cards using VGA<>DVI. He needs to manually resize the resolution in windows using Nvidia Control Panel. The resolution that come out will be some non-standard resolution that is slightly lower than the monitor’s max resolution.

Go to Nvidia Control Panel then under Display choose Adjust desktop size and position, switch to Size tab then under option 2, enable desktop resizing and click Resize. Adjust your desktop to the right size.
The problem with VGA<>DVI is that your desktop resolution will be wacky, it wont be 1080p.

I’m only using 1 of my GTX 680 and I am getting steady 60FPS 90% of the time. Your vdeo card is probably dropping into 2D or Idle clock most of the time, set a profile for GW2.exe and set the power management to full performance.

Lol 8800 GTS, no. And I seriously doubt your laptop is OC’ed to 3.0 from 1.83 without buring a hole. You wont be getting any better FPS without a new computer.

This is a PBKAC. Nothing to do with the server itself.

Just a hint, do NOT click on any link in those emails, most of them are actually phishing emails that want you to click on a link that will take you to a website that look just like GW2’s website, and it’ll want you to input your info to log in. That is how they steal your info. If you want to check, manually go to guildwars2.com and check.
