Guild Wars 2

I just got dishonor when my power went out. The really ironic thing is that I not only came back to the game, but my team proceeded to win said game. Is there any way to make the system a bit.. smarter?

This post is going to be semi-long. It was an ordeal. I’m typing it while a bit frustrated, but hopefully these bugs can be looked at, recreated, etc.

I’ve spent the last two hours trying to do this with a friend. We’ve encountered, in that time, an amount of bugs that had us completely confused as to if this fight had even been tested.

Attempt one: Canach mini-boss went full immortal. Canach ally ran out of HP and refused to block more grenades. We had to restart the whole dungeon because we could not move past him.

Attempt two: We decide to take Caithe and Braham. We get through both bosses and to Mord. All is going well. We get to the glide above the rocks phase and my friend dies, only to end up trapped in a room with invisible walls and no way back to the fight. I finish the fight on my own for another ten minutes only for Mord to be unfinisheable at the VERY end. We have to restart. From the beginning. Again.

Attempt three: Same thing, except this time my friend is in the invisible-walls-room and I try to suicide to reset the fight. Except she’s still stuck up there with no way down and I can’t even release my body. We restart from the beginning again.

Attempts four-X? (i lost count): The game really lost its mind on this one. We get through the first parts just fine. The mini bosses just fine. We’re on Mord again. We get to the final phase, defend against the mobs, use the reality rift… and. Mord is stuck in immortal state. We are losing our minds and decide to suicide, hoping that we won’t be stuck in the invisible-walls-room. Success! The room appears to work as intended and lets us restart the fight. Only this time the glider part won’t work as the winds won’t take my friend up. We die again and reset the fight to the Mord encounter. Except something else is wrong now. He’s using attacks even during the times he should be standing still for the reality rift. It’s like hard-mode Mord going all final phase on us during the earlier portions of the fight. It’s okay. We’re still able to get through the fight.. until THIS.

Yes. The reality rift. It..it spawned.. in the air. We couldn’t reach it. This is two hours after starting this final story step. At this point we have decided to just try to do this story step on our own. Maybe these bugs are related to having two people attempting the story step together.

Edit: I wrote this pretty quickly so if there are any parts that could use clearing up, please let me know.

P.S. I have really enjoyed the story and new mechanics in the expansion so far. This may be leaving a sour taste in my mouth but I am overall pretty happy with the last few days of playing!

Edit 2: We finally beat it! I’m not even fully sure how! I think we got a bit lucky because we were still doing it with bugs and “hard-mode” and all, but I’m happy either way!

Yes, switch to another quest, switch back to the current one, and then go to character select and back to reset.

The bug seems to be position related; instead of trying to interact with the object from in front, try to do it from behind.

This worked for me: Approach the first point from deeper into the map, directly behind. For the second point, run along the vine and glide toward it. For the third, try to skate around the side to interact. Hope it helps.

My story is bugged on this step as well. I cannot reactivate it or go to the spot to enter the phase that the story piece takes place in.

My character didn’t have their story completed yet, but I was past that step. I also submitted a bug report but was never responded to.

I added mine to my account wardrobe almost as soon as I got it, and only realized my mistake afterward. Still hoping for a response in this thread that I made last night. I imagine that others made the same mistake.

As far as I am aware, this miniature is unique in that it can be forged (I may be entirely wrong on that one). I also assume that the regular llama would be added to the wardrobe upon being forged anyways. I don’t quite see any unfair advantage, but rather just having lost an item over an innocent mistake in how the wardrobe system functions and this specific miniature.

After many pvp games over the past month and some weeks, I managed to get into the top five-hundred players and was mailed an adorable miniature llama today!

In my glee, I quickly poked said llama in my inventory, and absent-mindedly added it to my account wardrobe. ..and then I realized that I won’t be able to forge that llama into a more dapper form later on due to the item itself being removed when added to the wardrobe! Oh no!

Is there a way that I can obtain the item back, even if it means the llama coming back out of my account wardrobe? I certainly care more about the ability to get a dapper llama in the future than having the account wardrobe convenience right now.

I can go anywhere else in guild wars 2—world bosses, dungeons, WvW, cities with tons of players on the screen—and not experience a bit of lag.

I can download videos just fine. I can browse the internet just fine. I did a speedtest and my ping was 30ms, my download and upload speeds were both above 50.

And yet when I go into SPvP maps, the rubber banding starts happening. Ability lag, abilities that don’t go off at all. Everyone running in place for anywhere from a few seconds to a full minute. This has been happening for three days and I am baffled.

Any thoughts?

Edit: I can even type fine during this lag.

I agree that this fractal is too long. It’s poorly designed as well. This fractal is not fun and has pretty much ruined this dungeon for me.

Not only does every group I have insist on doing the “shortcut” where you jump into the first caged room (that has taken longer than it would have to do it normally 9/10 times), but every single group does the “long way” of killing the boss with dredge adds as well.

I’d appreciate if this fractal could be pulled out of the rotation until it is fixed.

@the OP, I don’t think you’re a bad person for leaving at this point. I’ve wasted (as in not gotten to the end of the dungeon for various reasons that were no fault of my own and pretty much directly linked to this time sink of a fractal) over three hours worth of time in this (the dredge) fractal over the past two days alone. Again, it’s not fun, it’s frustrating and at its best puts people that run it to sleep.

Last night, my friend (who requested that I make this thread because she cannot make posts with the suspended account) Adelise.5083 sent me 8 gold to buy some items for RP. She was banned this morning for suspected gold selling, but this was not the case.

The gold in question was not gained through any unfair or shady means. No money or gold was traded at all, as it was just a gift.

She also sent a bit of money to her close friend, Anatka Bearfang. This is because Adelise is helpful to her friends and guild! Nothing against the user agreement occurred.

The reference number she received was 121227-003689

My internet will disconnect and reconnect from time to time (especially when I have netflix on, for some reason) but will not let me onto GW2 with this message.

I found that restarting my computer always fixes it, as well as just going to my network and sharing center and turning the connection off then back on manually. Not a perfect solution but hopefully it will help.

Hold alt, left click the stack and drag the item to another slot then type in the amount.
