Yeah, you [HARD] guys are tough. And by tough, I mean tough to get out of your spawn so you will actually fight. Not sure if you should actually brag about wiping people when some of us take screen shots, but whatever makes you feel better. Hope you guys didn’t have to much of an issue running back to re-group.

Here’s from Monday night after we wiped you and your friends several times over. Thankfully you called in your entire map to take us out while FC took your bay. I mean why take on slightly less numbers when you can just go and call everyone in to kill 9 people. Am I right? BTW… Did I mention you should quit hiding in your spawn? Open world pvp warriors…. LOL.

Right now there isn’t much of an option. Out of 4 maps, only 3 are playable at this time ( NSP, DR, EB. ) I have seen a lot of activity in NA Prime in NSP, so that’s where I, and others, have gone for fights. We can only hope that reset will fix the severe lag in Gom bl and maybe some lag improvements overall ( hello skill lag for months straight. )

Had a great 3-way battle royal at ruins with 2 nsp, 2 gom, and myself yesterday. Ended in a draw and was great fun for all I’m sure. Been a lot of great players from all sides to meet and fight.

This matchup is far from over. A few days ago the difference betwen 1st and 3rd was 400 points. That has every indication this is a very good match. It has allowed my small guild to do something more than guard yaks, supplies, and repairs, so we are all happy about that.

side note :
To all those saying ADQQBtsy is a zerg. It’s totally true. They out number me 10 to 1 each and every night. Thats right. For every 1 of me, there are at least 10 of them. And did I mention they are WAY taller than me? They even use more than 1 button at a time. They spend all day making us no skill players look bad.

tldr – Down with zergy, skilled, tall people. Up with no-skilled asura.

We have ausies in [AoD], but they all have evening/night jobs, so I see them on in NA primetime. Never get on before that, so if they are present, they are unknown to me.

As far as people asking about the tri-tag ADQQBtsy… They do that just so they can taunt me with vids of loot bags, laying helpless in the field, and 1337 playing skills . Curse you ADQQBtsy. CURSE YOU and your 1337 skillz!

Ton of great fights all weekend. From ZvZ battles, to small group, to lone roamers. Very very few glass cannons, so was a good opportunity to test new builds. GG NSP & GoM.

I’m going to miss all the Swindler sightings in chat ( think bigfoot with clones. ) For some reason none of the other servers had the great appreciation of a small guild guarding ( ok, maybe dancing and making jokes ) a camp with quagaan tonics. Can’t speak for all of AoD, but you were a great sport imho.

Several guilds, and a few players on each side, will be missed. For those who we never got to meet in battle, good luck to you in your next match. For those that I did meet… Prybar to the face = “I luv U” in engineerish

So, let me get this stright. Your superior tactics involve oceanic hours ( that includes Aussies for the thinking impaired ) using a whole lot of PvD. As far as complaining about exploits… Hmmmmm, I guess all the screen shots of said exploits, I mean “tactics”, in use were what exactly?

As far as bay. You got rofl stomped in a kill box by DR. As far as your previous posts, it would appear you don’t know much about what’s actually going on, or who killed you. Might want to adust your video setting.

If you want to keep this story, great. But I do have screen shots. Like this one right before the door went down in inner. Please do point out the DH. And do take note of number of IOJ v.s DR and then tell me about tactics. Much love.

Totally agree with both of you. My point, and from conversations last night in TS it’s more than just my observastion, is that this current trio is being prolonged beyond what it should have been.

We are currently looking at another week of this matchup and the gap isn’t in place to make any of the 3 servers move in either direction. I stated weeks ago that I could see this being a long drawn out matchup, and that seems to be whats happening. If there is an answer to this, it’s above my paygrade.

Fallout is 100% correct.

DH did not wipe IOJ at the bay defense by DR. I was personally there for the entire event. DH came in, saw IOJ at inner door, tried to take out any DR defenders up on top, then left. IOJ got wiped in a kill box in inner bay, between door and lord. At that time, the demise of the IOJ zerg, DH was nowhere near bay.

Between 7-10pm cst, I personally watched as the DH zerg ball completely ignored any and all IOJ. We had commanders coming into our TS channel asking if we were seeing the same thing. Come on. If a 50+ man DH zerg ignores ( and I do mean gives them a pass by letting them walk right by ) a 10 man IOJ group, but attacks a 10 man DR group… well, Lucy, you got some splain to do.

Ah, that pic of all those golems confirms my suspicions. I have stated this for many months and now is the time for me to say “I told you so.”

There are quite a few players/guilds that a few of my AoD family will go out of thier way for. You say so-and-so is in the zone…. and I know it’s on like donkey kong.

Any talk about the pro players versus the scrubs will always end in hurt feelings. IMHO, if you give real effort you’re a winner in my book. People were getting on Swindler early on. I base people off thier actions. He takes his wins and losses just like we do. I’m sure there’s plenty more on every server.

DR is ahead of IOJ atm due to IOJs’ oceanic people doing something else this week, or at least appear to. I’m used to checking the maps when I wake up and seeing red & green. Not so much red this week.

Personally, I’ve had a lot of fun this matchup. We have new mortal enemies ( I will killz you Nova! ), new friends ( Friends don’t let friends take thier Yak ), and even found some common ground with other servers. Now if I could just get my new bff Melodey to answer my calls all would be well.

@Jaxx and Tuluum – Totally right on numbers. Any server that is in a good lead will get way more fotm players than the ones that are losing. The fareweathers tend to jack up the numbers count to seemingly insurmountable odds.

Even thou I never agree with Gab ( whether he’s right or not ), it’s true. Unless IOJ stays home for the rest of the match and SF has a huge outpouring of 24/7 coverage, the scores of those 2 servers are going to be very very close. I can’t see any changeup for next week. Just play and have fun.

It doesn’t matter what any forum warriors may say, the wvw centric players will still be in wvw. Fairweathers and wannabe’s will go do something to avoid having to say they lost a fight. Last night was the general potluck : Win some, lose some, run like crazy mad on others.

P.S. Swinder! Quit attacking my poor litle defensless asura guardian at DR green supply. I was entirely a victim and the running around the house every 2 seconds had everyone in TS asking if I had worn out my running away shoes. Good fight and very very close. That group v group could have went either way for sure. And the GG whisper to one of my AoD brothers was a great show of character.

@Tuluum – Could not have said it better myself. It’s just like everyone refers to the map as 4 zones ( EB + 3 BL’s ) while not recognizing the entire map is called “Partopia” and already has a supreme commander.

IOJ and reset night was a prime example of using the points in a way that HAD they used that from day 1, they would have had DR in a serious hurt locker for days.

And my update : Great. Now my posts are getting deleted because I quoted someone else. That’s it! No more quoting you people. Consider yourselves all off my quote lists.

@Oozo – Totally agree. This is new to me for the current match up. I saw other things used by other servers, most of which were fixed long ago.

@Tuluum – Same here. Been in mmo’ish games since Meridian 59 beta ( not counting BBS or muds ), and have been going ever since. And, for the record, I did ask if you were on, but they didn’t know your user account name, and I didn’t know what your in game toon name was, so it was a missed opportunity for massive fun. I had a very long fight with Swindler, who beat us all, but won every thing else ( Nerf mesmers, buff me! )

Crazy and Gab are talking about 2 different fights, not the same one. I was at hills for 1 of those fights and it was as he stated. There were several screen shots, from different fights, showing the exploit in action, but Mods removed them, as they should. It just made a fun situation bad, and that’s all I have to say about it.

As far as ques, DH had no que for DRBL, but you did have a que for EB. So those on DH, that wanted to play in wvw, could come to our BL since it was available. We had a blast with people coming to our BL that were there to fight and actually play. My earlier post was about our mini fight club with Swindler and Co. People playing with other people, from all over the world ( Canada, US, Asia ), and it was AWESOME.

There is a very small minority, on every server I’d bet, that uses an unfair, read hack/exploit, advantage. Sooner or later Anet will weed them out and the game will be all the better for everyone. Anyone who favors hacks/exploits/bots has no place in an online game imho.

I think I can speak for all of us there… HOLY CLONES BATMAN! We, in AoD & oHai, had a lot of fun. Was a great break from the drama in the rest of wvw. Lots of fair play, good matches, and new friends. Thanks to Dark for grouping with us so that we could relay chat to your group. And if Vars or Bela asks… We were defending the camp.

Problem is… It’s against the TOS to post screen shots, videos, or details around explits/hacks. Screens were posted and mods did what they needed to do to keep kids from the typical “Monkey see – Monkey do” behavior. Yes, they can google, but most hackers/exploiters are just dumb to begin with.

IF you really want to feel good, just send that stuff to Anet and let them do thier end. Then we get to hear all the QQ about how little billy got banned for using an arrow cart and he’s actually a “victim.” I love those most.

Ya know there are a lot of valid arguments and quite a few missing the real heart of this topic. There will always be a place for solo, small man, and gigantic zerg fests. This debate on who is better than who can finally be out to rest, because I am the most awesome player in wvw. And to prove my feats, which I dare any and all of you to do, here is a list…

A. Able to run in the opposite direction of an incoming zerg WHILE explaining how you are not running away but instead protecting the extreme rear flank. Bonus for number of people who spit thier drink.

B. Protect a supply camp as a Yak while saying “moo” as your cover. Bonus for adding Yak jokes and/or grazzing sounds.

C. Convince people that speaking to the rocks in the ruins does infact spawn the “Special Rock Fairy.” Bonus for groups of 5 or more.

D. Having an olympic high diving contest from the vista tower in VK. Bonus for selective use of town clothes.

@IOJ – Awesome job on that Yak/Guard flipping before reset. Had a LOT of people talking about how that fits into the points and wvw meta. Also, we were totally stumped for a bit on the points turnover after reset ( we were WAY up, then BAM, IOJ is in the lead. ) We finally saw what happened, but too late. Took several hours to recover that gap. ( Ignore the hatoraide, good play and a new tactic added to the playbook. )

Special thanks go out to whomever came into TS and played the troll song. Several of us were laughing and one sent him to another guilds channel, where he was promptly sent back to ours. Laughs had by all.

@Tuluum – I’m pretty sure Ozoo and co. were in your BL, and you were in ours. So that’s the numbers difference. I’m pretty sure I saw Stylii with us at some point. Or it could have been a bush. Trees all look the same to me.

@Stylii – No one has ever matched the DAOC boards in imho. ( Albion – Bedevere )

You are partly correct about DR forces in DRBL. Pretty sure all the big guilds ( DDLG, AoD, OBS, ect… ) had people in teamspeak and we were all working together. Darkestshadows was commanding the main force, while Bela & Vars were commanding the people holding until the main force arrived. So the DR zerg you saw was the only main force last night. Everyone else was either a pug or one of our 10 man or less groups. Bela, alone, was trebbing several objectives while we defended other objectives.

First call was to hills as you had already eaten both outer doors and was on back inner gate. I got there just as the back gate went down. Dark did a great job calling out sides to go and people to stomp. He kept saying something about "KILL THEM ALL!!!! /insert drooling sounds.

Then those that wern’t repairing were sent to bay, where you already had outer south door down and had siege firing on inner wall. The main force split in two. Half came from upper bridge, Garrison side. The other from Bay up ramp. DH got caught in a sandwich as the DR zerg re-combined at the mid-point.

DH did start 2 breakouts to get Blue tower, but in 1 the siege guy didn’t quite make it all the way, and the other he did get to the tower, but died there after to AC fire. Not sure what DH was doing, but the 30ish present left after a minute or so of the AC’s. We had about 10, including me, in the tower defending with others pushing back to your spawn.

tldr : 10 hold, 40 respond, turn map blue.

@Joey – That would be Marin. He is one heck of a necro, and a great guy to boot. Must have been when he was checking up on the back of supply as we were grouped, 4 of us total, defending that supply most of the night ( actually we were having a dance off on the gate top with an adventure box. Don’t tell Vars or Bela, they think we were doing helpful stuff. )

So, who has the broken calculator? We get misleading numbers for both DHBL and DRBL for last night, along with quite a few back handed comments. I was in DRBL all last night, and DH had 2 large groups ( one at hills and one at bay. ) Hills got wiped at lord and bay followed shortly after just inside the outer gate. We, DR, had almost as many people as 1 of the DH groups. After that they left. I assume for greener, read undefended, pastures. And for the record… the only “running” I did last night is the running around picking up bags.

@IOJ, great times had by all at red supply last night. We enjoyed the fights in and around the camp. Just please please stop targeting the asura engi ( me ) first. Kill the humans first next time. Thanks in advance.

@Elric – Ah, that explains that. I never think about the bounce since I usually focus on 1 and CC another.

@Elric – I’m sure there are more than a few “100 blades of lol” that wondered why attacking a poor little engi ended in a 2 second death. Btw, hit me up in game. I’d love to know how you do 9 stacks. I do 8 or 11 stacks, but never 9. Or I’m in our server TS most nights ( hanging with AoD cause they have real women in chat >.> j/k AoD, ya know I luv you guys)

Yeah, watch the hack statements ( seriously for your sake as Anet doesn’t like it too much. ) If you think it’s a hack, instead of warning them out right on the forums, report it to Anet and let it be Anet’s problem.

There are some peple in this game who I say to myself “This guy must be kidding. I’ll beat him to death with a prybar just because I can.” There are others where I think “Well, this is going to be a quick death. Wish I knew what the heck that build was.”

You can’t rely on just what you see. The server culling fix has added a host of new issues ( pulling into walls, people bouncing all over the screen as the server catches up to where they really are, lag spikes where you died and it takes a second or 2 before the server actually tells the client that are are in fact dead, and many others. )

I totally agree that DH, as well as IOJ and DR, have some good players. I, being the most mediocre of players ever, have seen plenty. DR does field great numbers on reset night. Pretty sure every server comes out in mass for resets ( like Friday night party when the folks are gone. )

And it’s also totally true that DR could have defended with 5 people in certain instances. I doubt theres a commander in DR that hasn’t said “Get on the —-- siege” every 5 minutes. I have screens of that cause it’s totally funny ( Lookin at you Bela. ) Why don’t they do it? Your guess is as good as mine. I have dumped so many badges/gold on siege/upgrades, that go unused, that I am always just shy of broke.

As far as numbers goes… We have been outmanned quite often. Not just by DH, but many servers since the great migration. Since I don’t have a repair bill for that, I can’t complian ( much. )

Funny note for DH :
Every time your zerg would just vanish I felt like I was in a Jaws movie. Map chat and whispers to people in other zones were all “Where is the zerg???” Just waiting for you guys to pop up. Fun times.

Wait, what? What “Bulk of forces” last night? We had at most 30 in EB total IN NA PRIME TIME. Since you forgot your screeny, no worries, I included one for you in my post above from last night in EB. That “Bulk of Forces” has outmanned. Maybe “Bulk of Forces” is anything more than 5 to you?

The BL’s might have small group action, but if you were not seeing x-large groups, you wern’t in EB. I can understand that if you avoid the big orange swords you don’t see the numbers. But I have a ton of SS’s from this weekend, including many from yesterday, where DR is not only outmanned, but the groups sent to take objectives far exceeded what we had in the zone combined. Nothing against DH, or any one else, but to continue with the “We got skillz and tacticz”, man I want what you’re having.

This is from last night ( you can see the minimap & outmanned. That group is the one at Brav. There was a second, equal in size, at QL. Where the rest of the ball went… Who knows. But you were evedently capped, player wise, in EB all day. So if you want to claim no numbers advantage, I have a whole folder that says it just ain’t so.

Note – I have a screen from Saturday afternoon ( good weekend time for CST USA ) where DH has 40+ at 3 locations just in EB. I can’t speak for DR or any guild, but I personally can’t wait to be in a bracket where some equal’ish numbers are found after reset night.

@IOJ – Great back and forth at ogres last night. We had a blast on our side.

Does DH have numbers at the moment? Sure. But it has more to do with the current coverage/winning situation. The numbers they are fielding, and IOJ and DR would both look the same in thier situation, is very simple. And every server has them….

1. Fairweathers – The people that just come out to play when it’s a win. Any big loss and they’re gone.
2. Map completionist – DH has the map, these people want to get thier shiney icon. Got my Vista, I’m gone.
3. First timers – same boat as the fairweathers, excpet they just want to see a victory first hand. What’s supply??? And they’re gone.
4. The puzzlers – I want my JP loot and then I’m back to fractals.
5. Want-to-be hard core – These people say they’re hard, but if things get bad they leave. See this every single day
6. Hard core – These are the people we all know by name. They are there with you winning or pushed to spawn. Win or lose, these people will spawn and run back into the action.
7. Ect… you get the drift. All kinds make up WvW and that can/does sway the score.

So DH wins this week. Great. I personally play for the great victories and the great defeats. IF IOJ or DR had enough to keep the score in thier favor for 24 hours, you’d see DH numbers drop and the other servers gain. Then you’d see nothing but "______ server is a meany cause they got numbers! " I have nothing against either server and hope to see a lot more back and forth, ninjas, and bags for all.

Side note : I’m in the “Hunting for carebears” group. There’s always someone in map chat talking about the care bears. So far I’ve seen bears. I’ve seen rainbows. I have not seen bears with rainbows yelling "Heart power activate! " The hunt continues.

Great time in EB, and a awesome showing by all servers, except IOJ, who had outmanned Reset night is always a no-holds barred naked fist fight. Saw a lot of tactics, chaos, and I did burn about 10 quaggan poitions trying to kill DH via cuteness.

There were several AD roaming in EB, but none of them were the core AD group you see most of the time. ADQQBtsy did come in at some point, but I saw them run by and never saw them again in my area.

@ADQQBtsy, the offer still stands for me to follow along and pick up loot bags. I’ve watched Oozo’s vids and lord knows he doesn’t pick them up

What follows are personal opinions so read at your own peril :

There are many kinds of people on all servers, not just our 3, to balance it out. There are commanders on DR who I wouldn’t follow to a free pizza buffet, then others who say it needs to be done and I raise my hand and say “I’m there.” Same goes for individual players, and they are just that “Individuals”, who you either can get along with or you can’t. I’d say for every idgit on my home server ( DR ) there are 20+ that I call friend. Even if they screw up royally, they had good intention and it counts in my book.

Had this exact conversation with one of our commanders last night. And he said the same things I’ve been saying for months. Good players tend to stick out, and bad players tend to do whatever it is they do ( yeah omgloldpsn peeps on the supervisor for 5 minutes with a frikin buff. I’m talkin about YOU!)

As far as forums, be happy they respond at all. Some are all inclusive and wouldn’t tell you anything, and others need to go to the Zoolander school for kids that can’t read good, and others are all around good people just sayin it how it is. Heck, I made a joke about shooting a guild with an arrow cart. They say they don’t care about arrow carts cause they soak up damage or something. I’m thinking… “I’m on your server idgit. It was just a joke to lighten the mood.” I do the same in map chat daily, and most know me for doign crazy stuff while still upgrading and running supply for whatever.

Side note : RESPECT. Look IOJ and DH, I really really just want to be friends. If I /wave, don’t shoot me. If I /sit… Don’t shoot me. If I run in circles, like a crazed chicken, trying to loot mah bags… DON’T SHOOT ME. Clear? Good!

Funny thing is this matchup will be continued for a while ( according to MOS. ) It’s going to be a long while before a T7 server can match any of us 3 servers, or a T5 loses enough points to drop. Howerver, the forums seem to have more equal action 24/7 than EB.

Side note : Nasty rumor going around that someone killed me in a 1 v 50. This is a blatant lie as I have never died, even from falling damage. The person whom you did kill was my sisters uncles cousins next door neighbors little dog, who has the exact same skins on his engi that I do. Hope that clears it all up.

Here i am at Durios, minding my own business ( OK, I was trebbing SM for S&G.) Do I go left to Umber?? Or right to SM?? Take note of the timestamps. yeah, that was all at once, and didn’t end. IOJ zerging up one side, and DH on the other.

DH zerg is even bigger atm just running around steamrolling anything that they can engulf. Even if you wipe 1 zerg, you are already getting hit by the other, then the 1st one is back again. No way to score any points as we were holding ground farming badges.

I can say for certain they don’t care too much for each other as I got into Durios and stood on the wall and cheered as the 2 masses rolled into each other.

Appreciate the offer. I very rarely hop on any other class, except my necro, to play. And I wouldn’t worry about offending anyone by stating an opinion, which seemed fair in and of itself. If they have thin skin.. they should should get better armor And I don’t do fight club either. I am spec’d for group support/survival ( read tanky’ish w/ a dash of omgwtfbbq sauce. )

I think you’re pretty spot on. I’ve noticed that skill/tactics varies widely ( the same in any pvp type game I’ve ever played, starting with many years of dedicated DAOC rvr. ) The only special squads I know of on DR is the ADQQTSY peeps, and I hardly ever hear anything from them ( although I do make fun of them in map chat on occasion, )

And yes, DR can field large numbers at certain points of the day, same as DH & IOJ can. Since I’ve only been hanging out in EB this week, all I’ve seen from DH is a few solo roamers, lots of 20+ groups, and an occasional 3-5 man taking camps and such. Not many IOJ come out to the DR back 1/3 of the map, where I am running supplies, upgrades, ect…

And a special shout out to the DH warrior outside DR keep yesterday, who was kind enough to do some 1v1 on my ele so I could look at a few builds to find a counter to them on my main. HUGE thanks. I often test certain builds of classes to see what damage/tactics work best aginst it.

Yeah, that was the most epic push/pull I’ve seen in years of gaming. I forgot to take a shot of all the unmade siege that littered from our keep to WC ( and I mean like evry 5 feet. )

I was like “WTF??? We making road markers of siege? We have no supply!” But needless to say it was fun over all. Think I made about 100 badges and became 100 for ya’ll.

Our commanders were streached to heck and back, but even threw the complaints I think everyone did a great job ( all sides. ) Welllllll…. Except for that lone IOJ uplevel that I just waved as they slinked back into teh moles. Couldn’t bring myself to kill em.

Side note, whomever that was in DH that was trying to send me tells and got staked by a roaming group… Sorry. I asked em to stop to see what was up, but DA RED NAMEZ!!!!!! maybe next time I can get more secluded and chat. Not everything is war, even in wvw. Hugs – Part
