Login into GW1 is NOT functioning

Unlike all GW2-stuff, login into GW1 is NOT possible since early 2017 and I refuse to register credit card details about myself just to get a support ticket through to the hack-fest known as Arenanet. Having/had a coupled account for GW1/GW2 working for year’s and also having the two-step verification/authenticator active at least since HoT was released, I expect GW1-login to work, but it doesn’t. Why isn’t it! What’s the problem?

Oct 4th Gillscale Pond.-event fail

Thx 4 reply.

I’ve tried every trick and angle possible, 4hrs ago, not working. I’ve done the device, I’ve done the NPC-talk three times and again, receiving nothing, zero, nada. Something clearly wrong. Especially since it doesn’t work on any other char/alt. even after relog. The fun spoilt for me, I’ll just do it in a couple of days like any other pick-up-a-stick-and-bring-it-to-me-for-a-gold-star -- or when the anet code monkey’s ironed it out.

The new Gillscale Pond-event in Fields of Ruin, allows me to get the tracker device after talking to the NPC and fetching it from the pond. But nothing activates. No new skillbar pressing use, when targeting anomalies, cog-icon greyed out and all. I can be alone at an anomalie, nothing happens. Only one (1) char can reset and fetch the device. If I try another char due to non-activate bug, I find no device in the pond, even if first char destroyed the device and I’ve relogged GW2.

Well, LFG Tool is clogged in ’Open World’-tab as it is, I wish I could filter stuff out as in only show TD- and DS-runs and not a myriad of frac-numbers, LFR ping-your-gear and SAB trib-trips. I’d love an alarm on filters, to... but that’s not gonna’ happen for sure

Anyway I can sell the account bound furniture coins clogging up my inventory slots?

All JP, some fractals and any other precision jumping in GW2 (spot2spot) safe edges are in thin air, a fire-field or a drop hole according to my GPU (AMD), likewise with spike-traps in SAB furniture shops, where I safely stand *on-top the spike-trap (!?), jumping to an open area... and then die. Problem hasn’t shifted since release GW2

I wish the GW2-folks from the get-go had published an approved PC-model* with detailed spec.-data as a reference to ensure all areas of GW2 function as expected to a gamer.

Scrapper D-pulse useless on Cloak thieves

Tried this in WvW a number of times and noticed that Scrapper Detection pulse (supposedly 6 second’s) is useless against Thief’s Hide in shadows, allowing a thief to Infiltrator Arrow (or such) out of combat, fully reset undetected (Shadow Refuge’d) and then return with full initiative, i.e. played ‘right’ with a shortbow/smoke-team allow perma-stealth, out-of-combat-reset-back-to-combat technique’s where not even Ele’s Ride the Lightning can reach a thief re-setting/re-engaging with no penalty. Fix it or we might as well go swiping at thin air.

Also, on the subject of Scrapper Detection Pulse, you guy’s really have to rethink Sneak Gyro — apply a detectable halo-pulse or something on the dark/bland S-gyro, me and a number of other Scrappers perma-stealthed 1200 and kept BG-tagging (Blast Gyro) /Shredder’s at a blob attacking our keep back-door…. that ain’t right.

@MikeLewis

Optimize? Gimme a break!

When IP-traffic enter’s US digital domain there’s a persistent ’delay’ known as the N2A-bug in non-anglosaxon countries, something I’ve given up on tracking and solving, becoming a fact of life, online.

Thus, in GW2, if you find it to be perplexing; we don’t play PvP -- because opponent’s get three strike’s before we even react, likewise we avoid fractals and non-NPC combat in WvW, we don’t do JP -- because we freeze in mid-air and then fail the jump’s, we triple-click to *really target NPC (client/server-side) in PvE and then spam the heck out of the target to survive.

Other than that, it’s an excellent MMO.

I'm quitting gw2

Well, running a *single ping or tracert on www.guildwars2.com, it seems to be a problem at the major ISP’s running a 50-80ms delay on multiple dc-servers — even with an ISP-dedicated gw2 dc-server. Also ISP DNS’s in central/northern Europe seems to be targeted (off/on) in december 2014 so when that [beep] happens, I *temporarily change to OpenDNS or Google DNS to avoid DC’s.

Well, beyond the LoL’s…

…there’s a low-end PC-spec.problem in GW2 I’ve been following in the forums since spring 2014: It seems if running an low-end Quad/8Gb-rig with 1G DDR3 GPU’s on an ordinary xDSL or 4G-connection you’re always one or two mouse click’s behind the other kid’s on the GW2-server.

Ask some guildies why they don’t PvP, WvW and especially JP — at all. At times they’ll say it’s because they can’t get a skill to trigger when clicked, a target requiring to be re-targeted (as in click twice for any effect) and recently it seems they’re consistently missing the notes or missing with snowball’s in Wintersday.

I noticed the problem when I saw a PvE’er circling a killed risen eagle in Cursed Shores (PvE.) Asking what the [beep] was going on, because there was a blood-sucking champ. nearby to down, I got the response “can’t pick up loot, it’s there, I click it, nothing happens”.

So, IMHO, instead of poking the rage-quit, keep the kid in GW2 and suggest a minimum-upgrade to any Intel i5/8Gb and more importantly a NVIDIA DDR5 2Gb GPU or better. Even a DDR5 1GB is faster than a similar DDR3 2Gb GPU, mostly due to bandwidth.

P.S. I believe PC Gamer is currenty running an article on GPU-buy, if any interest. D.S.

In the nordic countries problem seems to be related to the repeated all-out DDOS-attacks on the main ISP in the region, TeliaSonera — all of their DNS useless. Does ANET/NCSOFT have alternatives to ncsoft-ic-306349-ffm-b11.c.telia.net? Is this what we’re having for xmas or will there be a solution provided from ANET/NCSOFT.
