Somewhere around Black Citadel:
Male charr 1: She’s looking at you. She likes you or she wants to kill you.
Male charr 2: Either way, I’m happy
Female charr: I’m feeling like stabbing something until it dies. Are you in?
But I don’t remember what her mate answers.
The thing is that I am super casual player and I do dungeons for fun not for farming gold or something and now with new system of waypoints I find dungeons quite difficult to complete.
Okay, so yesterday I tried to do Twilight Arbour story mode with two of my friends and two randoms. Last time when I done this dungeon was ages ago with old system of waypoints. Everything was okay until final battle, when we just can’t figure out how to bite this creepy Faolain and her illusions. So I ask you all very experienced players, who thinks that new waypoint system is soo good, for tips for casual players like me and other people. What’s your tactics?
I don’t ask only for tips how to survive in this certain dungeon, but every single other dungeon and let’s focus at first at story mode, please. If AN promotes teamwork, so let’s show some of the teamwork here.
The actions you described are chosen during your talk with the Pale Tree. There you have to choose what is your greatest fear.
@Penny: That’s what I thought too, but during the Sorcerous Shaman path, a Flame Legion shaman confronts Clement Forktail and accuses him of betraying his warband to the Iron Legion. Clement responds by saying that he should have remained loyal to his Legion first, and not followed his warband to the Flame Legion out of loyalty to them. Warbands do fracture, after all; there are leadership challenges, deaths of old members and new members are occasionally inducted into the warband, but the Legion remains constant.
Hmm, now when I look at it from this point you have right, however when I played Sorcerous Shaman path I thought “Clement, you are so stupid…” because it looked like he was loyal to his warband without even thinking about what they were doing. It’s not like you have to follow your warband blindly, when you think that your Legionnaire is leading you to disaster it is charr’s right to disobey him/her. But well from this point loyalty chain with the Legion at the first place sounds legit.
I second everything what Konig said, but I’ll add another thing – love between Legions.
It’s not forbidden, but individuals have to be sure that they doesn’t slip any confidential info. I think it is mainly Ash Legion’s concern.
I was under the impression that cubs were raised to be loyal to their Legion first, their Warband second, and to the Charr third.
Actually I thought that it’s the other way around. I mean cubs are raised to be loyal to their warband first and Legion second, because warband keeps them alive and they have to know that they trust each other with their lives.
When you fall you should let your character die and then hit “Retry from Checkpoint” button… you’ll respawn next to Magister Sieran on the other side of the wall
I think that by banning females from army, the Flame Legion wanted to show their power over other Legions and discourage others to sniff around their stuff, because Bathea Havocbringer did it. Plus, they accused females of using their sexuality to tempt males from true path of their gods. So it was not a matter of biological/social inequality of males and females, but mostly religious doctrine, which was the source of Flame Legion shamans power.
To my understanding not every charr is sent to the fahrars. As any other culture they need farmers, workers etc. aswell as soldiers. And there can be ties to family. I believe there is a charrcub in the Citadel that is actually asking why he cannot just be a farmer or something like his mother (he is to train with the fahrar though.
Well… no. As far as I remember from interviews every cub is put into fahrar. Fahrar works as filter for the charr who doesn’t suit to soldier’s life, so the primus sends them to work on the field or a farm, or do some other logistic work. Also charr who are injuried or crippled can be put into some lesser work as farmers etc.
As for Rytlock… I think he actually has offspring. In “Ghosts of Ascalon” he tells Ember that she has her grandmother’s eyes. Yes, I know that it’s fairly innocent comment, but it bugged me that he had to know Almorra from the past, before she founded the Vigil. Probably they were very close friends or lovers, because in my opinion such sentence could speak only such person. I don’t know if it makes any sense xD

If I were a charr, I’d be looking at that airship with a lot of envy. Who knows, maybe someday we’ll see a competition.
If I were Smodur I’d be angry that someone flew in my airspace without permission
But truly, I don’t see the charr giving gifts to everyone and spreading love across Tyria. xD
To be honest at first I hoped that it will be norn celebration, but this one looks pretty awesome. However, I hope that you guys will come with some other races related events.
In the Charr Flame Shaman father path : Rytlock’s “That was too much fun to stop now. Here – I’ll hold him up, you kill him again!”
Where does that come up? I chose to ambush the badguys at their lair to interrupt their ritual rather than warn the Citadel, so I guess that’s why I missed it?
It might be repeated but I didn’t do the flame shaman path and I remember that line. I believe it is from the last mission of the honourable soldier storyline.
This line is from the last mission of the Ash Legion storyline.
The Gear warband reappeared in my personal story on Orr.
I find hilarious every mission with Galina Edgecrusher and Snarl Backdraft. They have hilarious dialogues, especially between each other.
