Systems that punish legitimate users under the guise of “protecting” them (from bots “ruining” the economy) are utter horsekitten. See: The TSA, DRM, etc. Much like DRM, these limits only affect legitimate players, as a bot will simply teleport to a different area and get around them with no effort.

Noticing the drop limit was actually one of my worst experiences in the game. Fortunately I still enjoy the game, but these draconian policies that hurt real players will certainly help push me away from the game.

It’s more likely that it’s just a lookup table since there’s less computation involved. One-roll vs. multi-roll.

Arguing that it is balanced for Guardians to lack a real ranged weapon option because Engineers don’t have a real melee weapon option is like saying it’s ok if you can only bring a knife to a gun fight because the other guy only has guns.

This. 100x this.

Not having range = huge liability in any zerg situation.

Not having melee = absolutely no liability in any situation.

In fact, it’s impossible to not have melee in GW2, since there are no deadzones. You can use ranged weapons at 0 range, which means that everyone, by default, has melee.

you put a melee weapon and a range weapon together.
IMO, those 2 do not go together.

I use a lot of scepter/torch as my weapon swap from greatsword.

Cleansing Flame (without the second activation) is a melee skill. Flame Breath has short range. Torch is way more melee than it is ranged.

Staff and shield could use a change, very limited weapon options.

Not being able to move during Staff 4 is my biggest gripe with the weapon. I’d love to actually use the heal + might in dungeons, but if I try to actually cast it I just get murderfaced by all the mobs that I was kiting.

I’ve never seen an immunity skill protecting from debuffs that were on before the skill is used in any mmo. Pretty sure it’s working as intended. Would be kinda OP if it did protect from conditions that were already on.

Immune to all damage/effects, and cleanses all current effects when used. This is Immunity.

GW2 “invulnerable” is something not quite invulnerable.

I am unable to represent either of the two guilds I am in. Clicking the Represent button is unresponsive, and results in no change. I have tried changing zones, relogging, etc.

One guild is Cevryn [CK] on Isle of Janthir (my home world), and the other is Spike Flail [SF] on Maguuma.
