If you have a SINGLE piece of the armor set remaining; you’ll unlock the whole set – If you don’t have any pieces of the armor then I honestly think you’re out of luck.
So for example if you have just the Zodiac boots; you’ll get the rest of the set unlocked automatically.
I’m with you on this one; I would like an answer here too especially since I’ve thrown away over 300 of them :P
I got a little sad when I read about the conversion of Transmutation stones; considering I’ve had well over 300 in my lifetime and thrown them all away (100 Potential Transmutations gone right there).
I don’t expect to be compensated as it’s my own fault for getting rid of them.
Question is; Will map completion still award some form of transmutation post patch or is this going to removed entirely; I won’t be too fussed if I can still get some form of transmutation credit from world completion as I still have 3 alts with under 25% Map Completion.
The blue boss is NOT glitched; you need to kill the menders that spawn on the east; I solo’d them and we got the boss down.
However; the event is glitched – Killed all 3 bosses twice now and now colours spawn. This is crazy.
Yeah, this really upset me too especially when everybody was doing so well; Failing the entire event because of the unbalanced platform is soul crushing when you’ve got 100+ fairly organised players.
Using the code fragments I managed to get about 6/7 rares, an Exotic Zealot recipe and an Ascended Armor Chest.
So if you’re lucky it can work out nicely.
Oh man; I never login or post here but I had to login to say that your post sounded amazing; I would totally get excited for content like that! This needs to happen.

Did they make a booboo with this. Both Dulfy and,the wiki say you need to kill 6 unique champions, but i got the final achievement at 5 kills. Which is in error?

Do the same champions spawn at the same towers or can you sit at a single tower and wait for a rotation?
Could anybody kindly tell me where the Queen’s champions are and if you need unique kills for them to count or you can kill the same champions? People ingame haven’t been that helpful in informing.

I honestly can’t see who wouldn’t like this change – but I’ve been wrong before.
I hope it’s a permanent addition and ANet doesn’t remove this way of doing future living story achievements.

I know one of the biggest problems for people and temporary content was not being able to get the achievements in the limited time you were given (If they were luck based or skill based)
Now it seems, if you go into the historical tab in the achievements it only shows the achievements that you unlocked and not the ones you missed; I really hope this is intended because this has put my mind at rest A LOT. (Unless I have missed something)
It means I can go for the achievements and get the ones I find possible without having the ones I failed to get (as such with the Sky Pirate Dungeon Achievements) hanging over my head forever.
Some achievements wont show up as COMPLETED if you didn’t finish all the tiers; it will show the completion for the highest tier you reached (If for example; you only ate 10 candies instead of the full 250)
But it does remove any achievements you didn’t complete which for completionists with OCD like myself; this is a god send – I know people will call me out in this next comment but it means I can enjoy the content I want to without being forced into others (Crab Toss for me, as an example).
This is EXACTLY the kind of fix I wanted for achievements and the feeling of being pressured in regard to achievements.

According to my friend, some of his are showing up as not completed; is anybody else having this issue? I know some that I missed achieving have definitely gone off the list (few from sky pirates and some from the Winter events too)
EDIT: Nevermind I worked it out after looking at his screenshots he sent me.
It does in fact remove achievements you haven’t done – The reason they were showing up (without saying completed) is because he didn’t complete the full achievement but just a few tiers.
For example; He only ate 10 Zhaitaffy; so it shows the achievement for the respective tier.
Phew! I can still rejoice at this change!

It’s not “Mechanics” – Dodging the lasers and timing it are mechanics; I thought that was quite fun.
Being RANDOMLY pulled into the lasers by the golems due to bad LUCK and one shot dead. That’s not a Mechanic.
Yeah I’m in agreement with the above poster; especially as a Ranger.
At first I was really enjoying the encounter; but after a while my luck ran out and I started being pulled and instant killed; it was no longer about having skill but being lucky.
The fight could still be a fun encounter if they just removed the pulling; It would be that simple – I have no gripes with any other aspect of the fight. This may be the first living story in 5 months I can’t 100%.

I’m sorry, but you can’t mention Elona and Roller Beetles without bringing up this from the past.
It does have the two types of mount I would accept in GW2, btw.
1. What did I just watch.
2. Why did I just watch the entire thing, mesmerized.
Area Hard Modes. You know where you could adjust the difficulty after completing the campaigns for all the missions and explorable zones. Making a different instance for a hard mode version of the world map with a individual tracker would be awesome to me. And when I say hard mode, I genuinely mean HARD.
Even level 80 scaling in lower zones would add to this too.

Don’t think that it will all be available on May 28th by the sounds of the June 5 reference (think we can assume its the Queen to which the achievement is linked).
So yeah, I doubt you’re looking at a blink and you miss it event on the 28th.
I was looking at that as well, Will the June 5th event be a one time boss event? Or will that be available until the entire event’s completion?
I’m all for achievements and meta-achievement rewards. But when it relies on sheer dumb luck to get an ‘achievement’ it’s not right. It isn’t an Achievement, you haven’t earned anything; you got LUCKY.
Even making it so you hold the crab once the timer hits 0 is fairer (This is what I originally thought it was and got extremely disappointed when nothing popped), but not only having to keep the crab but also have the other 7ish players go down AT THE SAME TIME is just crazy.
Congratulations to the people who have it, good job; but this definitely seems extremely unfair; moreso when you remember that it’s TEMPORARY CONTENT.
We have limited time to get a luck based achievement. Sweet.
I was wondering this too. Why put all the effort in to create a dungeon that’s only there 12 days. Surely it’s a mistake…?

Does anybody know what it means when they say “Instances”?
Do they mean like Mini-Dungeons or Personal-Story-esque instances?
I was looking forward to it before the patch notes (Mainly for the WvW Progression).
Now I’ve read the Patch Notes? I’m really really excited! Can’t wait to see what these instances are like (Solo or Co-Op?) and I’m still looking forward to the WvW Progression as I’ve been going off it recently for feeling like I’m not achieving much.
Overall, I think this’ll be the best Flame and Frost patch yet
