I love soundtracks and enjoy listening them often on external websites when I’m not playing the game. I’d like to support Jeremy Soule and really any musicians in the creation, so I want the buy the discs. I went to DirectSong via the Merchandise page, but the store doesn’t seem to list it anymore. Does anyone know if this is temporal or not? I understand DirectSong is not NCsoft or ArenaNet, but the store doesn’t even have a link to an email to inquire. So here I am hoping someone knows the situation.
I hope not, but if DirectSong doesn’t sell it anymore, I think ArenaNet needs to remove the link… At least not with the tag of GW2 Soundtracks… :/

Hi everyone. I had to leave GW2 for few weeks while I was searching for a right guild and try it out. I just came back last week. So, here I am, back on this forum to find a home again.
I’m looking for a small to medium sized guild that is based in the EST/CST zone. It doesn’t have to have scheduled events at this point, but would like to run something together for fun in the future.
About Me:
I’m a fairly new homemaker who play games at random times during a day. Play for couple Heart quests/events and then AFK to vacuum a room is something I tend to do. AFK might bother some people, but I’d like to find a guild that can accept that. Or, perhaps I want to have someone just like me. But, I can make a chunk of time to be with guilds. If I knew an event ahead of the time, I can prepare to work with that so I won’t go AFK during the event.
I enjoy PvE mostly.
I’ve played GW1 and tried other MMOs as well. I’ve been playing WoW mainly and actually have some guildies whom I call them “families.” I’m quite tired of the game, but because of the guildies and some friends scattered around in WoW, I still spend some time there. I’m trying to get them to play with me, but haven’t been successful yet. If any of them ever interested in this game, I’d like to have a guild where I can feel comfortable inviting them as well.
Things that I want to see from a guild:
”Neutral” – Games aren’t only for males and you should know that already. I want to be in a guild that is not too masculine or too feminine. A guild should have an atmosphere that respect members individually regardless of genders and treat them alike. Unfortunately there are some guilds that treats females as secondary members that came with their hubby etc. If you’re giving me a “make me sammich” joke, then it must means I know you well enough.
Family/Couple Oriented – I see the above atmosphere is achieved when there are many couples and families in a guild. Also, my husband may join with me although he is not as active as I am.
Mature – I don’t mean that I want a R rated guild. I mean a mature and relaxed guild. Age doesn’t matter but average at 30+ feels suitable; my friends are from 25+ to age-unknown retired ladies and gentlemen. I liked it that way.
None or soft VOIP requirement – Don’t get me wrong. I was once in a hard mode raiding environment; I understand the importance of it when we do dungeons/PvP or any kind of events. I don’t mind it for that. I’m a mic shy, but that’s not the only issue. I don’t like using voice chat in regular basis because it tends to glue me to a PC. I do go AFK often; I have families that need my attention or stuff that I need to take care of. I can’t leave freely when voice chat is active. Text doesn’t really need that much attention. I can AFK briefly to check an oven and come back, scroll back and read what people had to say. I see this game requires it more so because of the combat system, but when we are just chillin’ I don’t think it’s THAT important.

While I’ve played other classes in many MMOs, I’ve played Ritualist (GW1) and Shaman (WoW) the longest. I just like those spiritual-ritual thing, I guess. When all the classes were announced for GW2, unfortunately and not surprisingly, Ritualist was not there. So, I kind of mixed those “feeling” of the classes I’ve played. I suppose they are more Druid-like feeling but close enough; I’m playing Sylvari-Neco. Although I’d be really happy if I could see Ritualist-type class in the future (Cantha?) xpac. I mean, there are Shamans in Norn and Grawls >_<
And this is one particular thing to look at because it doesn’t make sense: a lvl1-25 bag can give butter, why also a 70-80 bag also give butters? What make butter so important that it doesn’t follow a lvl scaling factor like every other item?
Butter is actually used in many recipes at higher level cooking recipes. They are used in many Refined Cooking Ingredients like Cookie dough or Bowl of Wet Ingredients, and they are just a base. You’ll probably see those used in 300s cooking recipes.
What I understand from my own experience is, Ravien is correct. Once an ingredient was used for all the discovered recipes it could be used in, it disappears from the creation slots.
When I first looted Walnut, I opened up Discovery tab and the nuts didn’t show up. Thought it’s weird since I only have Dye recipes use Walnuts that passively learned from leveling up the cooking skill. Normally I don’t rely on Wiki just to make the Discovery system fun, but this time I looked it up. So far, I see they are used in few recipes from Karma vendors around the world.
So, my conclusion, unless it IS broken, they are just not in any Discovery recipe.
I’m actually glad that some of ingredients became a drop item. I don’t really like to ‘buy’ too many stuff from a vendor. More stuff to discover in the world – how exciting!
Btw, Eggs are from Raptors and Moa. I harvested Vanilla Beans somewhere in a 70s zone – and someone above commented that they can be found in Sylvari zones.
We just need to re-map our own drop table with community(GW2W)’s help :)
Vines and flowers are some good ideas. I was thinking the other day about this. What leaves can be their hair? I came up with Willow Tree and Fern. I giggled when I thought about pine leaves for hair – it’d be like a Porcupine :P
