Casual is a term to define the amount of time someone spends online. It has no meaning in regards to player skill. Casuals aren’t asking for a nerf. Bad players and those with entitlement issues are. Stop saying casuals are being left out. You can play ten hours a week and clear the content with some effort.

Hours played per week mean very little in regards to player skill. There quite a few “casual” gamers who are incredibly good at this game. Please don’t lump in lazy, less skilled, unmotivated, or simply bad at the game with the “casual” crowd. Casual means less time to play. It doesn’t mean you can’t raid and can’t be good at it.

How good is your rig? The new zones are quite a bit more demanding.

Hey fellow engineers.

After a very long break from guild wars, I came back for the expansion and decided to level up my engi. Now that I’m 80 and have the ability to unlock scrapper, I’m completely lost. I plan to craft a full set of exotics, but really have no clue what direction to go. I’d like to play scrapper, but just aren’t sure what direction to take it. Power or conditions, hammer or no hammer. I like the hammer, but looking at the scrapper tree is overwhelming. Any tips and suggestions would be awesome. I’d like to be able to do open world in the new zones without having to freak out about dying all the time. Thanks for any tips you guys can give.

Simple answer: play something else.

In depth answer: it’s a video game. It isn’t life. If you are concerned about children establishing bad habits, don’t let them play it. I’m a parent and I have no issues with my kids playing this game. Why? Because my kids respect my discipline, teachings, and guidance. I’m not part of this whiny generation of parents that are all too concerned about "that’s not pc, I might hurt their feelings " etc.

It’s simple. Play it or don’t, but don’t push your one sided views onto other people when there is the incredibly simple option of simply uninstalling.

I easily maintain the fps you seek in all aspects of the game. Yes, some of my build is overkill for 1080p, but I use it for purposes other than gaming as well. The build you are considering would be plenty sufficient for the frames you seek if playing at 1080. This game is cpu intensive, so having a quality processor you can safely over clock helps a lot.

Fair enough, but their own website should > twitter, imo.

No solution has been found yet, nor have we heard from Anet officially about the problem.

A lot of people are having all sorts of issues logging into the game and it would be great to get some kind of official reply from a mod on the status of said issues. I’m sure you guys are busting your tails to get this fixed, but a simple “this is what’s going on” might calm the masses a bit. Thanks.

I certainly hope you are trolling. This game has minimal to no downtime and is incredibly diligent with their fixes to make the game playable. You must be new to MMO’s lol.

Back on topic, a response from Anet would be nice, even if it’s just to let us know they have some clue as to what is causing this outage.

I’m doing all kinds of experimenting. What are you guys using for pvp and roaming? Let’s get some discussion going here.

After some testing, this only seems to happen on the 100 dollar purchase. I can get to paypal for any other amount.

I get to review my order and then it hangs on this area. I have restarted the client and the computer. No dice. Anyone else having issues?
