Elementalists spell “grasping Vines” hardly ever works. When it is cast, the player or mob it is cast on is already running away from it before the animation is even done. Is it not meant to be cast on moving targets or what?
Bump. Sylvari grasping fines simply doesn’t work on moving targets …
The effect seems to have gone through a lot of changes, from AoE to single target and I read that in the beta you could cleanse the immobilize effect and just roll out of the vines … which doesn’t seem to work any more. Somewhere along the line though it stopped working on moving targets altogether. Now unless something stands still or walks through the vines after they formed it just doesn’t get grabbed.
Im currently lvl 53 and have only been doing 3 dungeons so far. Sadly the first 3 dungeons haven’t lived up to my expectations. I really hope dungeons get better as I lvl because right now they feel like a big zerg-fest whith little or no mechanics. Some bosse literally takes 10 minutes of non-stop beating, which would be okay if they were fun…
I had fun in CoE because it was just too kitten ridiculous, everything one shots you, everything has millions of HP, had to laugh.
I think they need to hire more folks. I keep getting the impression that they’re sorely understaffed to handle such a giant influx of players, and the hundreds of things that have suddenly broken. And it’s all piling up faster than they can handle.
I don’t think this is true, I’ve seen the same thing happen on every MMO I have played … the problem is that forums are simply generally not read. Very rarely a dev or community rep will pass by at exactly the right time to see a thread like this and pass it on to the official QA department and something gets done.
All of this is of course a bit unfortunate since the players could be the most effective QA department in MMO testing, we have incredible testing coverage … we just lack the tools to communicate the bugs with the developers. All we can do is whine and whine and whine some more in the hopes they see it. Especially fun when months down the line someone official stops by and says “oh we didn’t realise that was broken, I’ll pass it on”.
Still waiting for the first MMO to just have a public bugzilla.
Oh it`s worth it for a group play. you will just sacrifice one thing for that but it will benefit everyone. I took the trait that lets my dodges heal nearby allies. Just doing 2 quick dodges adds over 1400 hp back to them. Was around 650 per roll before I upgraded. Every bit helps and counts.
You went from 650 to 700 healed per roll … maybe if you’re in a zerg that’s worth it, but when there are only 4 other people every little bit of healing counts as an opportunity lost for taking something good :p
