8GB G.Skill DDR3 1600Mhz
Nvidia GTX 560ti SLI OC
Lets not be China pls
i dont see any problem
it is 360 radius but its an ARC (not a full circle)
Wouldn’t 360 radius make a full circle not just an arc?
From the update note it said :“The radius has been increased to 360.” Didn’t mention the unit but I was hoping it would be degree.
I also don’t understand the patch notes on the 360 arc and the way it works in the game. The aoe is still the same as pre patch and last time I check 360 radius is a full circle on location of activation.
I can confirm the 360 arc change isn’t working like the patch notes state. Not sure about the Daze duration but the animation speed is faster now.
I can’t believe saying “T1” and “to” is censored
And the bleed continues….
What ever, DB was comfortable T2/T3 until the cracks of this system pumped and dumped us. To have linking /bandwagon artificially bounce you to 1st and then delinking / transfers bounce you to T4 shows how bad the system is.
I don’t really care if we drop to T5, DB is home. It’s just sad to see the frustration of the server loyalist after a pump and dump. God’s, joy, gotl, kill and a few other guilds will continue the good fight, win or lose.
I can see the writing on the wall, spending months in T2/T3 and never hearing of YB….then they steamrolled to T1….
Good luck YB, you are the Junior Gold Miner of stocks….this is your pump and soon to be dump. BG stays T1 and TC / FA will drive you till you dump for the next hottness server….forecast,….next pump and dump SBI
YB was the first server to crash and burn when the linkings first started. Dropping from kitten T4 in 1 month. Now they bounced back up to T1.
I don’t know why people are getting bent over YB. T1 is where all the best PPT servers end up in. There is no other way getting up there. PPK doesn’t provide enough to make a significant difference.
There is no magical T1 fight Tier. Honestly there are more fights happening in lower tiers because people down there have no care for PPT.
If you want more fights move down to a lower Tier server. Its that simple.
Blobing in wvw is cancer. Even more so with boonshare creating omniblobs that require 0 skill
Anet measures a servers population by active wvw players. Look at BG for example. They went in hibernation for at least 4 months before world linking started and thanks to that they were able to over stack their server to a point that they didn’t need a link.

I also have the same issue as well.
I even sent a bug report in game so I hope this gets fixed.
Kill it with fire before it lays eggs!!
I’m curious, you guys haven’t experienced any culling issues since the last few recent patches? I’m Oceanic, true I don’t feel lag when in combat except when the server lags but, the culling seems to have gotten worse, as me and a group of mates I know can’t see the same number of players on the field.
Were I see 1 or 3 people on screen they see 10 or more thus I sometimes end up running into a zerg without realizing it before its too late.

They must have good internet then, not every country can play half a world away with no lag.
Do we have euro players on NA servers? I thought the ping difference would make them suffer more than playing in their own region.
Your idea is a good concept but the technological limitations would cause more lag when playing against people from other side of the world. The lag is bad enough as it is with culling.
You sir,
Deserve a medal.
Mind I ask what traits build you got?
I would gladly take a stealth stack cap if it mean I can move freely with 10 secs of stealth and not camp in one place with 21 secs of stealth only to be revealed when I move outside the circle
I think this is a welcome change. I didn’t like the fact you lose stealth leaving the refuge even after the pulse had finished. Now its different where you keep your stealth when leaving refuge after the pulse finishes and it pulses much faster.
I believe this is a more viable skill in PVP now if you are using shadow arts build. The stealth you keep when leaving the area allows you to lose your pursuers more effectively while you regen your health, per sec of stealth thanks to shadows rejuvenation, imo it greatly increases your survivability.

Laptops seem to have issues of overheating when playing Guild Wars 2, I have a friend who has frame rate issues due to heating problems with his own laptop.
I’m not sure about all Intel CPU’s but I do know some will throttle back when it gets too hot thus causing your frame rate to drop unexpectedly.
If you find your laptop running hot then it might be the culprit.

I’ll say it straight, Guild Wars 2 is badly optimized.
It’s also very CPU dependent over graphics cards.
Only workaround for now is overclocking your CPU, increasing the clock speed yields better overall fps.
Or you can just wait for Arena net to fix this problem but who knows when that will happen, even I get frustrated when their patches seems to make the game lag even more.
I recommend overclocking if you have enough cooling. My Athlon II X4 640 got a boost from 3Ghz to 3.5Ghz and got a big noticeable improvement ( I could go higher but can’t keep it stable).
Not sure how far your cpu can go but considering yours is a black edition and mines not you sure be able to push higher than mine.
After giving much thought I decided to bite the bullet and install the beta driver…
Now I did a test before installing, my fps in Divinity’s Reach goes from 60fps to 40fps in some parts as long I set reflections off and shadows to medium. Everything else on max does no impact on my fps.
After installing the beta driver I ran around the same places in Divinity’s Reach my fps actually dropped! It goes from 60fps to as low as 35fps but…
I get no stuttering at all, even when cranking up the settings and my fps plummets, I don’t get any stutter when spinning my camera. I used to get minimal stutter before the driver update and big stutter when I crank up the settings.
Now I am a little disappointed that I’m getting less fps overall but I am happy that the stuttering issue seems to be gone so now I can actually look around with more ease.
As long I don’t run into problems like crashing ( not that I’ve had any mind you) I’ll keep this on for now.
FPS is more stable now but no real FPS gains. Spinning a circle in various places would cause a massive dip in FPS from 60-30s. Now spinning a circle in the same places only dips 60-52s. There was a slight increase in places like Divinities Reach.
No complaints here.
Did you have shadows and reflections on?
I only get stutter when I turn the camera with shadows above medium and reflections on. Would be nice to play this game with both of those settings on for me…those are the only two options that make me lag, so having them both off keeps my fps from dropping like a rock when I turn my camera.
Edit: btw I haven’t tried the new beta driver yet.

Can anyone else confirm with a GTX 560 TI or any 500 series card that this driver gives any improvement?
I would like to try but unsure since it hasn’t been officially posted on the beta driver page for the consumer base.
Why don’t you just use the dodge button instead?
Auto attack should still work after using it and besides, dodging is far better at keeping distance than trying to hop like a rabbit in most other mmo’s.
Have you tried lowering shadows and reflections?
It for some reason hits performance hard when turning the camera.

I believe it applies to all movement speed buffs not just signet of shadows. It’s probably working as intended.

Holy Cow! Alcu, you just made my day. This really did work for me. Downloaded the utility linked above, didnt even require an installation and it said I had 3 of my 4 cores parked for some reason. Unparked them all and I am running super smooth, and much more happier.
My specs:
AMD Athlon II X4 640 (3.0 GHz)
8 GB Ram
nVidia 560 ti OCThank you for posting this tip. Extremely easy and I was quite surprised when it worked for me! :]
I have exactly the same specs and it worked for me as well. The game runs a lot more smoother.
Shadows is nvidia’s problem (works on all the HD7000 devices we have).
Threaded Optimization deals with http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ff476891%28v=vs.85%29.aspx, DX11 only.
SLI does work, but for the moment the game relies solely on single-threaded CPU performance.
I don’t completely understand how it works. I have amd athlon II x4 640 @ 3.5Ghz and my core temp cpu graph shows its using all 4 threads but they are all averaging around 50%-70% usage and never goes higher. does it run the speed of a single thread across 4 cores?
I am disappointed with poor sli support, for some reason guild wars 2 runs better with sli off than on for me anyway, guess I’ll wait for proper nvidia drivers to optimize it.
have you tried turning on threaded optimization in nvidia control panel, in guild wars 2 profile? I might be a long stretch but it might improve the performance.
Try running the game with SLI off, one GTX 670 is capable of running this game.
I used to have that problem when I turn my camera while using my GTX 560 ti in sli, as soon I turned SLI off it stops stuttering when I turn. Hope this helps.
