when does the next season of ranked start?

What are we allowed to be? A kitten support that can barely do anything on its own.

The removal of cele wasn’t necessarily a bad thing, it just revealed how fundamentally flawed eles are. Maybe in 5 years eles will actually get the changes it needs.

1) before the removal of cele ele had medium damage… for a bunker… seriously?
2) it is a mobile class… but are you seriously trying to say a bunker class should have mobility like thieves?
3) really? holding 3 people on a point and killing one of them at the same time… yea they arent tanky
4) ele is THE jack of all trades… they heal… damage… tank… move… everything… if you honestly think anything you said was true you really need to learn how to play ele a little better. ive been able to 2v1 most class combinations since launch as an ele, until the removal of cele in the last patch… and still there are builds that i can reliably 1v1 with. ele is a class thats harder to pick up than others but once you learn to play them they are pub stompers.

What traits are u guys running with those stats?

So I main dd ele, even after the changes I still win 80% of my 1v1’s in pvp and win a fair amount of 2v1’s. However when I get to wvw it’s a complete different story. I find myself going down quick, and not doing much damage at the same time. Cele in pvp is rediculous, I currently have full ascended Cele trinkets a berserk chest piece and a mix of soldiers and knights for the rest of my armor. Zerker weapons. Not sure what the problem is. Friends that I fight in a 1v1 in pvp and beat no sweat, give me tons of problems in wvw. Why is this? Are dd ele’s meant to be played with a different gear set up in wvw?

What about trinkets? I already have a celestial ammy, so I’m thinking mixing soldiers and knights for the rest like u said and that should be it… but until I can craft a full set of celestial for armor what is recommended for armor? Just a mixture of knights and soldiers again?

Ok so I’ve been out of the game for a while, I joined the army this past March and went to basic in April, my friends still play and I would like to start back the soonest I get my laptop. I’m currently still in ait and we are allowed on our phones from time to time, so my question is I know traits have changed, so I would like to know currently what are some really strong d/d builds for ele? All zerker gear wasn’t the best before (unless u like to be squishy) but I’m currently interested in knowing if there is any good full zerker d/d builds out there, I’m not interEstes in focus or staff… or is dapheonix’s build still top dog? Any help would be well appreciated thanks

I would keep the trait line, but use apothecary gear instead… but then again i like the extra 500 healing power rather than the crit chance and 2k more hp… but that’s just me, it’s all about personal play-style baby

I was running settler’s, and had healing power of about 850, but haven’t noticed a big drop now that it’s down to 540 or so, and 2k+ more HP is nice. Like you said though, whatever works for you. I found that the healing power didn’t help much versus burst and that I’d rather have the extra HP cushion.

very valid point, I personally don’t play a condi ele so you have more experience than i do with it, that 2k hp is nice though when going against a zerk rifle warrior… you never really see them coming

so even with PoV, purity, and signet of resolve… it doesn’t have enough condi removal?

the reason i used exotic gear is because there are a majority of players who does not have any ascended

a good player can go without traits period, and still win the majority of 1v1’s if they play it right, i’ve seen it happen, i’ve also seen no armor period, and someone still do a 2v1, thank u for build advice though, twas helpful

Guardians and Warriors are both absolutely awesome in all aspects in the game. Guards are better in PvE and Wars are better in sPvP, but they’re both solid contenders in both PvE and PvP.

I dont understand what you mean… guards are played on EVERY high tiered team at the moment in tpvp… warriors are not, and for good reason

I think the closest thing to what the OP wants might be some kind of knight/valkyrie/zerker mix with maybe Brazil’s very old 0/30/0/30/10. Halfway acceptable DPS, some survivability and some support. Though there might still be some better all-round possibilities, I’m no fan of “do everything, but badly” builds and hence I never cared for them.

staff is good for TA only in one part, The might it gives is great… but then again just go full zerker and use the trait that gives might on crits, but still i would go buy a lvl 1 staff just for the use of it in TA

I’ve been running this build for a while now, I find myself winning the majority of 1v1’s i encounter and half of the 2v1’s I do. I posted this to see if anyone has any improvements they would make to it.

Most shout build condi warriors go 0/10/30/30/0 or 0/10/20/30/10 or even 0/5/20/30/15 for fast hands.

Healing Power tends to outpace Vitality if your duels last past 1 minute, however, with full apothecary you tend to have quite a bit less condition damage.

This is a build that I have used before in the past, pretty much unstoppable, that is why I stopped. Still has some Healing Power from the Defense trait, LB cooldown to land pindown, burns and blinds more, retaliation for extra DPS. You can use an underwater weapon to gain 25 stacks of condition damage.

well the build has more cond damage than your build and it uses full exotic no ascended… its all apothecary gear so how exactly does it lose condi damage? the only thing i lose is 7k hp but also about 1k healing and about 150 condi damage, and 150 toughness at that

so I’ve finally decided to make a warrior to do some WvW roaming, however I have a distaste for running a berserk warrior since everyone does it nowadays, this is what I’ve thrown together pls give some feedback on it, would be much appreciated

I don’t know… i was once 239 in NA playing as more of an offensive support warrior (i never lvled that character to 80 just played tpvp). Even playing more of a support role with a warrior i feel like i had more damage and tons more suitability than a dps guardian. Maybe I’m playing it all wrong, bc i’ve lost countless 1v1’s against guardians but i’ve also won lots of them. If someone knows of a video on youtube that has a complete breakdown on guardians for roaming or maybe i could play with a more experienced guardian in-game.

well im used to playing a warrior with dolyak runes… so it kinkittenigated itself… so i never really practiced it

roaming as a guardian trying to find 1v1 battles across the map, what runes would you guys recommend. After watching countless video’s on youtube of the guardian roamers… It came down to two choices the “healway” build… or high dps build. I’ve decided that full zerker gear is what I want… Is this recommended on guardians, who already have a pretty low hp pool?

that’s pretty funny, the skill difference between tpvp players and WvW players is a pretty big gap… in a 50 man battle, I’d put my money on the tpvp players (even though WvW players have more experience in huge fights)… just go back to mindlessly zerging around for hours…

i took a look at it, any build (if not completely stupid) would work decent enough in roaming if a completely skilled player played it… I’m just looking for a build that could do 2v1 or even 3v1 when i’m skilled enough. which is why i had more toughness in the build i posted… or should i just go glass cannon and hopefully burn them both down quick.

although i’d like this build (i’m just theory crafting atm), I also like the idea of a meditation dps. any idea’s or builds on that?

I’m thinking of doing alot of roaming now as a guardian, i need some opinions of some more experienced guardians, tell me what you think
