Hey i miss 3 of the old classes we use to have in guild wars 1
especially the ritualist i use to use the ritualist as my main!

i also miss being able to use the dervish in pvp

and i also miss using the paragon to help friends in there story modes!

i was wondering how many other people miss these 3 classes?

the ritualist could be like the necromancer but more of a support build with the spirits it summons like removing boons from enemies and removing conditions from allies and maybe even defensive/healing but also having an offensive build to that is more of the summon weapons and armour onto yourself

the paragon could be similar to the warrior and guardian but it is more focused on using spears at a distance and giving shouts to make everyone stronger and adding effects to there next attacks (all allies in range) having a class that is more focused on leadership and helping fight off crowd control fields would be very cool and fun to use/fight against

the dervish could be a medium or light armour wearer but could be a very high damage dealer in areas, the warrior is great for 1v1 but the dervish has potential to swing its scythe hitting many around it! also being able to transform (maybe with elites or the FKeys) into avatars of the gods giving the dervish different effects! there build could be more to do with dealing great amounts of damage and transferring that damage they deal into health points to close allies!

please give me some constructive criticism i honestly do miss the ritualist

Actually thinking of making two, both of them somewhat tied to a legacy from my gw1 chars.

So what kind of Revenant are you:
A vengeful spirit having returned to life looking for a focus for their anger.

Do you have a back story if so what is it:
Originally a Canthan Ritualist serving the Emperor at the time of Shiro’s betrayal but killed by the assassin they were trapped between the mists and our world until recently having been drawn out by the gathering of power and magic in Tyria. Now the tables having turned the former ritualist now revenant now invoking and controlling Shiro’s power amongst many others.

What race are you going with:
Human Female (Canthan)

What weapons are really tickling your fancy?
Defintely Sword/Sword and Staff (Not to mention I have bolt and Bifrost to go along with it)

What is your favourite legend:
Shiro Tagachi

How are you going to make your Revenant look:
Tossing up between the smokey white(for a more ghostly appearance) or jet black hair(more in line with Canthans). Blind eyes (Celestial), combination of Orrian and Primeval skins, greys, dark blues and blacks.

Is it now going to be your main or just an alt:
Ele is my current main, I was at one point seriously considering replacing it with my Rev. In the end I may end up sharing that spot between the two of them depending on how Tempest turns out.

Loving the connection with the lore you made that is awesome! And I have Bifrost and bolt too! Although I am hoping we get a legendary pole arm looking staff and loving the idea of the medieval colour schemes! And I can understand maybe sharing 2 it’s like I’m not sure if I can just make my Mesmer an alt after all this time so I will probably share (:

Personally I’m making it out my Mesmer died when the pale tree was under attack and she returned the favour by ressurecting me as a sylvari Revenant sounds a little silly but I like the back story hehe
And yes that means I’m going for Sylvari and most likely Duel swords + staff
My favourite legend so far is Ventari but I need to try shiro!
I’m going to make my Revenant look kind of sinister and that he is struggling with Mortys mind control most likely use some race armour and DAT BLINDFOLF GOD JUST LOOK AT ITS BEAUTY
and Revenant will be my new main making my Mesmer live in pvp as my alt

Yes and the withdrawal is real

I feel and empty vessel.
And I can’t even channel my emotions right now.

It was such an invoxicating experience everything else is plain in comparison I can’t swap yet to get my energy back so all I can do is sit here stare and wait for my F1 to work again 0% energy right now

I’d say either Inquisitor or Seeker gets my vote. As nice as Warden sounds on paper, it also is already being used in GW2 context as the Sylvari military faction.

We also have Inquisitor as a White Mantle title, and The Reaper as a player title, so they are not looking at the context.

Those two are not directly tied to GW2 in-game (yet, at least).

The Dragon Hunter is in fact an already existing grawl spec.

Yea my mesmer is now redundant and is looking for a new line of work as the pact said "dragon hunters only" so I am looking for a job as a therapist to manipulate inspire and dominate people’s minds with the chaos of my illusions :p
