Stats for shortbow?

Thieves do not benefit much from “all stats”.

With the (debateable) exception of the shortbow, hence my question. I’m currently using an exotic berserker bow, so that would be the other option. I’m simply unsure if the benefit I would gain by choosing celestial is worth the damage loss, especially because I have no idea how well conditions and healing scale. Also, it’s not like I’m using celestial armor, so it’s not much condi-dmg & healing power anyway =/

Hey guys, I need a little advice

I’m planning on crafting my first ascended weapon soon, and since I’m using a shortbow for pretty much every build I have, it will be the first I make. But I’m not sure what stats I should choose, since the shortbow uses a variety of different skills, and I often use all of them (Choking Gas for poison and aoe-weakness, Cluster Bombs for bleeding and as a blast-finisher for healing, might etc.). So, is it worth it crafting a celestial shortbow? How important is healing power when I’m blasting a water field?

Aetherblades use Steam Portal tech?

So, regarding the escort-events, I happened to come across one with steam creatures today. The wave before and after them where Aetherblades and it all took place in Kessex Hills. That’s a little bit too much to be just an oversight.

A new "Destiny's Edge"

Kiel can’t do it alone, so she’ll be need assistance from players as well as another familiar face: Researcher Levvi, the expert on Southsun Cove’s decidedly dangerous flora and fauna. If you’re lucky you’ll meet a few old friends (and a few new ones) that will become more important as 2013 progresses.

It seems that we’ll get a human and asura NPC for the next living story and a hint that we’ll meet old friends (Rox and Braham maybe?). This would also add up to this “Destiny’s Edge 2.0”-theory. I really like the idea of a new NPC-guild, but I think it would be better if they joined DE. It would make sense that there will be new dungeons where, for example, Braham and Eir have to fight alongside each other and finally get along a little better (Citadel of Flame all over again). Right now he might not want to be associated with his mother, but I’m sure this will change sooner or later. Also, if there’s going to be a sylvari it’s probably Trahaerne. /trollface

That build you posted is probably the lowest DPS build a Thief could have.

I wanted to have high survivability with my build, since I won’t be doing anything if I’m dead on the ground. But I guess I really overdid it >.> If I remove 20 points from Shadow Arts, where should I invest them again? Deadly Arts increases Condition Duration, but Critical Strikes gives Precision and Prowess which I don’t have if I’m going to get full Carrion gear.

I used to run venom share before, but it’s difficult to explain to everyone that the entire group has to stack on top of each other because the range is so short. It never really worked out for me, since everyone would just forget about it and I had to explain every time. But maybe I’ll give it another try

I’ve been 80 for quite some time now, but I want to start running dungeons soon. What I’m looking for is a build that can support my group, but can also do decent damage. I know that I won’t do as much damage compared to a glasscannon, but being all squishy without any survivability wouldn’t really fit my playstyle.
The build I came up with is this: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fYAQNAoYVlcmaPHfy8E+5EB3ji60m6pgsjtTBXxKA
As you can see, I’m trying to use condition damage with D/D and, if necessary, SB for ranged support. The traits I’ve chosen are pretty much all about supporting my group. I’m not really sure about the stats on my gear, but I think a combination of Carrion & Soldier would work. Please tell my your thoughts on this build, what would you improve? I appreciate any kind of advice I get
