Well if I wanted to explain it to my 5 year old daughter, and use restrictive words that make it sound extremely condescending, and only give points on my half of the story to make myself look good, and witty (oh we love witty on the interwebz) than sure, what the hell. You got 50% of the summary of the event down. Even by Florida standards, you just failed.

Maybe you should try to explain it to your child. Might help realizing you are blowing it all out of proportion. When I did read your first post I wondered what in the world had happened. It does read like everyone who was there got an extremely valuable item. Reading replies showed me only a few people got that and the rest got something nice. Just like is to be expected in an event with tons of people playing.

Nothing in my post was meant as being witty and what Florida has to do with it all is beyond me but that might be the European in me. Lets get back to the pure basics and that’s people being jealous and feeling left out cause some other people make blown up claims that give out the idea that uber uber uber loot was guaranteed in the event.

1. She got banned with a false claim for botting
2. After over four days she got her access restored
3. She changed password first as told
4. She logged into the game
5. She got the message You have not applied a retail code to your account ……..
6. She updated her ticket and I updated forum for her in the 3 days and over
7. She got a reply to her ticket she needs to buy cause trial doenst give entrance .. Obviously the employee didnt read it

Its been going on several days now and she lost all confidence she will get her account back.

Eva do not delete this. This is a new problem that doenst get adressed and make it all go on an on. It has now become a rollercoaster of people unwilling or unable to read and unstand and we need someone to look at it

I am the wife in above post. It all seems to work again.
Checked my main character and all the gold and items and everything is still there too. Hopefully this is the end of this business.

I am not sure how much legal action is possible from within Europe. Legally i know what they do is wrong but their offices are in another country. Starting to consider to call my legal insurance and have them figure it out.

Start with opening a ticket here. They are a consumer advocacy group in the US. While they cannot take legal action on customers behalf, they are a great group to mediate disputes between businesses and their customers.

I have figured it out. It is all a big ploy to get some community building done. Look at yesterdays conversation .. now thats nice community building. Surely this will end up with people staying in contact and gaming together. Be it in guild wars or in another game.

If you are banned only the game company itself can get in

Several people reported being seen after they got banned from game with the false botting claim. My husband also saw me online. Also many people report the rubber banding and the black screen.
When banned from game indeed nobody should be able to log in and that includes the claimed hackers they come up with when people report being seen.

Something is wrong and the list of people complaining is growing. No longer can they help within 24hours. The minimum time seems 3 days now according to the reported reinstated accounts. This shows how much backlog they have which shows the extremity of the complaints in relations to the normal servicelevel.

Seems Jose is all alone in the office tending to all our calls. Be nice to him or her (girls name in my country). He or she didn’t cause it and is just paid, probably low wage, to talk to us.

Anyway, in 6 hours the workday starts

We risk that. My husband wants that book and i want him to have that so i can run after him and have more peeps run with us in WvW. There isnt always a commander around and it gets messy on the server when there aint.

Presently my job includes user account management. I own and manage the procedure and am in charge of check ups to get rit of bad accounts or bad user rights assigned to otherwise legally existing accounts.
It is also my job to translate those check ups in such a way service desk and system admin can do a clean up and to have a backup system to respond rapidly to the wrongful deletions. And that rapid means rapid or higher management for sure demand my head.

Showing that knowing people are here complaining about being banned with false claims. Do they really think I would tell friends to play this game? I would tell them to try another as this one risks you getting banned with false insulting accusations and with no reply from customer service for days.

I am also Sanctum of Rall. Actually was in pvp little over an hour before I got banned with a huge group of red in a fight that at first we seemed to be going to loose.

You aren’t the only guild leader that had this happen. Heard of a few by now. Also several groups within guilds that were playing together. Real people behind a computer really gaming that is, not the botting they are accused of.

What they do not realize is that it will be pretty bad for the servers when guilds starts to leave cause they feel its better to move to another game. Mediocre gamers (such as me) need this experienced well organized group to put the juice in the game. They bring forward the leaders that know how to organize and run the stuff that is fun.

Walking alone, while chatting with party members (!), I entered Gendarran Fields for the first time. There, I saw a mining cave. As soon as I tried to enter the cave, all of a sudden I got teleported a few meters back. I thought it was just an innocent bug, and I tried to enter the cave again. But I got teleported again, to the same spot. I tried maybe one or two other times, and then the game shut down. I was accused for botting, and my account is now permanently terminated. I hope you guys will fix this soon. If not, then I’ve paid a lot of money for only a few hours of gaming time.

Interesting…just after I entered Cursed Shore from Malchors Leap I had this occur to me as well. It kept pulling me back over and over until I dodge rolled and it let me go on for a few seconds. Enough to go to the nearest NPC vendor to buy some picks and just as I was about to buy them I get banned and booted from the game.

Aye, I’m with you on that my friend. Unfortunately I feel that I might not receive a response today. However, I hope that we’re both wrong and receive one. I do believe they are working as fast as they can, but I wish that this process was a lot faster. I feel that they could of at least done some kind of process before booting me and marking me as a bot. I can answer any questions they would need in order to prove that I was playing during that time. Maybe next time they will have an admin question you before a kick. Best luck to us both. =[

Yes I hope I am wrong and I get an update at least but I don’t feel very optimistic. Hope we both get unbanned soon, as this is beginning to worry me.

My husband called it rubber banding when it happened to me. Happened while plinx just started the chopper landing part thingy. Minute or two later I got kicked out and than when I treid to get back in the ban mention popt on my screen.

Its wierd. First time ok, that happens at times that you are kicked back a few steps. Its irritating but it happened since day one. But when its repeated being pulled back its far from standard.

I seen a handfull of reports of reinstatement come by yesterday. Seemed hopefull. But those reports seem to have stopped and everyone seems as banned as ever without any real reply on the situation.

At this time I do not have a disability and could easily miss anything in chat. It’s so infrequent in this game I rarely look to it. I only group when I play and we are on a voip, again no reason to have to look at the dead chat area.

If they are putting out an announcement to you that will be this official. They need to make it LARGE in the middle of your screen, with a sound etc. Something that cannot be missed. They also have to account for being AFK to. Last time I checked it’s not a banable offense being AFK.

A popup i would notice for sure. Sound is lost on me. I put the sound on first days to hear what its like but i generally play in silence because of the same ear problem.
I think the AFK offense is a mystery in itself to me.

I used to think that people were just whining about Anets policies, but now after having experienced their justice system myself I understand them. I was given 1 minute to respond to 1 whisper from a total stranger before I was banned. I wonder how many other people have been banned becasue they do not return whispers from total strangers. Had I known that I had 1 minute to respond or be banned I may have been faster on the keyboard but instead all I recieved is “hi hi” and was banned. Gaile could you please please please just talk to me about this? I need all my focus on one thing at a time. When I read chat I need to stand still and at most push my number one button without even minding to see if i hit something.

Moderating the forum and closing down complaints in this section is fast. That they can do within an hour.

I finished every map there is. Just cause I have this weird thing for achievements. Bots do not do that either.

Seen several guild leaders too. Several mentions also of more as one guild member being banned. So weird there isnt big outrage yet on the forums.
Every player right now is at risk and nobody can tell us if we get our accounts back.
