Maybe that is true. I dont know how guild wars one was i never tried it as i was occupied with wow at that time. Did it have a fun dungeon system?

I’m a GW1 vet so I may be a little biased on my opinion when it comes to the game as a whole. when Guild Wars started out they didn’t have a “dungeon” system per say but a cooperative story driven mission with different levels of completion (standard and bonus). Dungeons were non-existent until Eye of the North came out where they had a story mode and explore mode dungeon. Both were really fun and relatively challenging depending on the level of difficulty. there was no end of dungeon rewards until EOTN either so it was a refreshing addition. What i really liked about the dungeons in EOTN was it wasn’t just a mob massacre..there were puzzles to solve, and certain character builds worked better for certain bosses, especially in hard mode.

edit: some grammar corrections.

Things that irk me

Why do people feel entitled? Because they paid for the game that’s why. If the HoM was explained properly to begin with that would be one thing, yes they said people who played first game would be able to get blah blah blah, also said that it would be available to all players. Being able to go to some musty ruin is not what new players would have expected.

HoM was explained in clear plain English from the moment Eye of the North was announced up to the release of GW2. Whether or not you actively looked for this information can only be explained by you. Your dedication for guildwars 2 is commendable and all rewards earned in guildwars 2 should be equal to all. I have to agree with previous posters about the veteran rewards from guild wars1. this is a thank you by Anet for our dedication and hard work to their dev team throughout our gw1 campaign.

Maybe the prevalence of butter is one of those in-game hints at some future, massive event.

I can’t remember the area, but there was a skill point in the 45+ mountain area where it does what you suggested. It required you to find the starting point of the climb, carefully maneuver and jump from platform to platform, and jump across a fatal drop just to get to thatkittenblue arrow. As a bonus there was a chest nearby, which made it all worth it.

Edit: it was the area near Sorrow’s Embrace.
