Best options are Gossamer and Iron right now, as a rule of thumb the average price discounting outliers like thick leather and mithril which have spiked crazy, is around 1600 per box, if you’re paying more than that you’re getting ripped off.

right now with gossamer and iron you can get them for under 900.

What’s interesting is if you compare the average cost of these boxes last year to the various costs for them currently, they’re still currently cheaper than last year with current prices (depending on the material). However, it seems their potential “value”, in regards to drops from them, has yet to be determined.

I would imagine items like the recipes would be less in demand overall, but with the inclusion of items from the past season as rare drops… will make for some interesting days ahead if you’re involved in the TP.

Considering that the supply boxes from last year were introduced as a mat sink before asc crafting came around, i wouldnt be surprised, if wood/ore/leather/cloth arent tradeable at all this time around.

I agree, and would imagine crafting materials for Chef/Jeweler may be included this time around. Though I would argue anything (crafting materials/gatherings) with Buy/Sell orders near vendor cost should be considered if people are looking to speculate with low risk.

Once updated, i disconnected from the VPN and login worked fine.

To anyone still having this problem, I’ve found a (janky) solution. I was a bit skeptical of it at first, but it fixed this problem for me; I’m downloading at 1.5MB/sec now.

Same, issue updating the game as well on a PC that had the game installed but not updated for a while.

I’ve had the same loading issues occasionally when trying to sell as well. Also, I thought we would still be able to see items we’ve sold in the past 90 days? My Items I’ve Bought/Sold lists show nothing.

It’s actually “TP Wars 2”, btw.
and we make items cheaper for you instead of buy orders of 10s and sell listings of 60s for ecto, we equilibrate it to 35/36. 10s if you’re looking to sell it and 60s if you’re looking to buy it is a pretty crummy proposition.
If you want to see no one play the TP, then just sell everything you have via sell listing and buy everything via buy order. Then you can wait for things to be filled instead of us. Most of our coin is made by making purchases more convenient to everyone else.

for me would be modifying the tp and loot systems ingame to make it fair for every player and insusceptible to manipulations in order to make some virtual mario coins
- want your shinies? you should earn your kitten by playing and enjoying the actual game simple as that because that should be the reason to play mmorpgs not some wallstreet capitalism simulator

“Playing and enjoying the actual game”… so much room for subjectivity here. As far as I know the BLTP is part of the actual game. I enjoy playing it. I’m also happy for these threads, as they give me something to read and laugh at while waiting to put up more items for sale :P.

But in all seriousness, if you don’t like the establishment of the TP, don’t use it. Also, your arguments and suggestions may be marginally more effective if you used proper punctuation and grammar (you may also come off as being less jealous/angered and more constructive).

What items can you possibly buy for 3-4 s and instantly sell for 50-60 s? Is this a troll thread?

There are a number of crafting materials you can do this with, simply because people don’t pay attention/put in buy-orders themselves.

A fair number of ancient/iron/etc. items have HUGE flip potential(I’ve seen anywhere from 20s-50s at times), often with VERY low initial investment(~<10s).

I tried this glorious flipping method for a test on various items and it’s simply impossible if you’re not a no-life sitting there all day bidding with other no-lifes every profitable item, it’s a boring waste of time and every legitimate way by flipping is just investing and waiting for the price to rise.

“No-lifes”… rather dramatic. The truth is you don’t need to sit there “all day bidding”; I put about 1 hour total in a day and can make more during that time than running dungeons or anything else. Also, I enjoy using the TP for profit in this way, but that’s something that’s obviously going to vary from person to person. If you try to force yourself to play the TP, you’ll probably wind up with only meager returns or losses.

Flipping/Long-term investing in this game is just like any other method for acquiring gold… it will only prove to be profitable if you’re consistent. Other than spikes due to patches, etc., don’t expect to make quick/easy profits immediately.

Was just thinking about a Trader’s guild and if there are any like that; I think it’s a neat idea, surprised there’s nothing like this, would be neat.

Depending on the items you’re talking about, one of them (the ancient karka shell earring) is available from a vendor at Canach’s folly for 1k karka shells.

I think it was decent overall, bit long for the reward received, but I don’t regret doing it (some decent loot from the chest and general one-time event).

Also, for those that didn’t do the event you can still buy, essentially, the exotic (accountbound) Ancient Karka Shell at a vendor at Southsun Shore with 1000 karka shells.

I followed Stardriver.7459 ’s suggestion on my second run of this story and completed without any difficultly.

First talk to Demolitionist Tonn to get the group of NPCs moving, instead of following them east through the cave, go north (to the 3rd tower) and Tonn will tag along. The mobs along the way can be pulled one by one very easily as you work your way up. Just before reaching the tower, revive a dead Wyld Hunt Technician, who then goes to revive more of his friends. Clear the tower of its surrounding risen. I then moved south along the shore to clear out the second tower, then carefully around the first tower.

This method is a little easier I think and safer than running ahead to aggro the risen away from the tower as others have suggested. There’s less chance of any risn getting stuck because you’re clearing the last and second tower that Tonn won’t blow up yet.

Continue as normal after blowing up the first tower, moving back to the second tower, then following the Pack Marmox back through the cave. Unlike the others in the NPC group, the Marmox will stop just before the Wyld Hunt’s tent, which is normal. 3 more risen will pop out near the 3rd tower. They are at a safe distance away from it – but kill the one closest to it first anyway was my thinking.

You’ll know all is fine afterwards when the objective is to talk to Tonn again to make a story decision.

Just wanted to say that this method worked perfectly for me after having the mission bugged twice doing it normally.
