Yeah, I do not believe you. There’s no way I lose with my mesmer to necromancer, and if necro gets support, I just runaway.

But saying that congrats being awesome and keep up, necros are rare in pvp atm.

I don’t think that those sPvP screenshot scores prove that much. I’d say it’s easier to get more points in PvP with necromancer. I just follow the zerg and “tag” as many as I can with wells with whatever and wait them to die. I even may get killing blow because of tick of bleed or something. I just kind of bring support and hard hitting warriors and thieves do the actual killing.

Now when I played some mesmer I can actually take out players with burst and still bring awesome support with staff, though mesmers seems to lack some aoe.

Which prof have you rerolled to?!

k, we get it, when you play necro it’s unbeatable and awesome killing machine! How about you go play that necro, you know, maybe make a video and be inspiration to all struggling necros.

Mesmer and I recommend it to everybody, it’s really fun and imo clearly fotm. PVE it’s not its strongest point, but in pvp there’s no class atm that can, well almost literally, touch you.

Also I’ve noticed that there’s some matches in which team only has thieves, warriors and mesmers.

Kind of agree with op. As a necromancer, my input in battlefield is not remarkable at all; everything I do as necromancer, some other class can do better. Maybe spreading diseases, but as they are atm, their influence is quite weak and be easily cancelled.

And as op mentioned, I haven’t noticed one time that tourny group is looking for necromancer and that alone is quite strong proof imo.

imo minions are not usable in high level area, they die too fast and aggro everything. Literally flesh golem attacks on it’s on everything in sight and high level areas are pretty full of mobs. In pvp, because of all the aoe they die too, well instantly. Only the flesh worm stays alive longer, if you summon it outside of zerg and I think it hits hardest (?).

imo unique minion build isn’t usable atm, and if DS, bigger health pool and support role (playing w/ conditions) doesn’t appeal, try something else. I’m going to try engineer.

80 necro in need of some building and gear help.

To me, it seems that necromancer isn’t capable to out damage anybody and also it seems we’re atm at the bottom of the ladder with elementals. But there is one build which has worked pretty good for me, basically you just outlast ppl. 10 points to death magic and rest to blood magic and soul reaping. You want to put optional points to improved wells and so that your death shroud bar fills up fast.

Now this build mainly works in tight spaces and if the enemy just goes out of the well area, you are screwed, but atm it seems that warriors and thieves are so used to get ppl down fast, that they stay in the area. Also wells work on the node of course. But if enemy blows all of his cooldowns on me and he sees that his losing, there’s no way to catch him, if he decides to run.

Other than that, I saw spectral specced necromancer video, which did pretty good (or he handpicked bad players to the video) tried out myself, and well, didn’t work for me.

btw I use axe/whatevah (usually dagger)

For me it seems that there is two builds that work atm; condition for wvwvw, spvp and pve and well-build for spvp (well build may work in pve too, haven’t tried it yet). Well build is most durable, maybe in the whole game, but works better in tight spaces, like spvp.

Trait points i have distributed from top to bottom: 15/15/10/30/0 and I use scepter and dagger as main weapons and staff as a back-up. It’s awesome against melee characters plus you bring some support to your team.

Only usable minion in pve seems to be flesh golem and imo minion master doesn’t work in pvp, because minions die too easily. Life leaching dagger/dagger build just don’t cut it. Summa summarum condition build for leveling and big zergfest, and try out well build for smaller case zerg.
